Systemless root kills WiFi calling on T-Mobile on my 6P. Anyone else experience this? Does anyone have WiFi calling working on T-Mobile?
Any ideas what causes this?
I used systemless root for a long time with WiFi calling and had no issues.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA-Developers mobile app
Same here. I have never had an issue with systemless and Wifi Calling.
I am systemless root, and my Wifi calling works just fine
Same as above.... WiFi calling and system less worked.
It's only on T-Mobile I'm having issues. Project fi WiFi calling works.
No idea the cause but I have the same problem

I get the same issue with Tmobile and systemless root. The wifi calling tries to work, but the call does not complete, or the call will drop when trying to switch to Tmobile wifi.
I'm not sure why this happens, my only thought is tmobile is detecting that the phone is rooted and doesn't allow the call to go through.

Hi;
I have installed marshmallow on my verizon S5. I am now on T-mobile.
I see no option for wifi calling. Advanced calling not working so to enable wifi calling?
Any fix to this other than rooting phone?
Thank you.

Oh gee I wonder why wifi calling doesn't work on a verizon phone using a tmobile sim ._.
rooting won't fix it either...
Thank you.
Just wondering if anyone can confirm this on T-Mobile. Does wifi calling and VoLTE work?
Thanks!:highfive:

It does work on stock rom as far as I know team venom working on a solution to make it work on their rom

I can confirm it is working. On setup, after selecting your carrier it says it is installing Carrier specific apps and settings, and I am able to access WiFi calling and VoLTE features.

Same here. Works great on stock.. unlike AT&T
I don't remember getting the "Carrier specific apps and settings" when I activated on Verizon. Is there any way to get back to that? It seems I'm missing whatever is necessary for Wifi calling

I assume you tried to turn it on... I'm on mintsim (tmo) and it works fine.
I just got the OP6T and switched from TMO to Fi, and was wondering if anyone has been able to get wifi calling working. I found an option in the dialer (*#800#) to enable wifi calling in the settings, but even after turning it on, it seems to have no effect. The strange part to me is I can send and receive SMS messages with airplane mode on while connected to wifi with the Android Messages app. I'm not sure if that's just an RCS thing or if wifi calling is partly working. I'm aware the 6T isn't an "officially supported" Fi phone and Fi says "wifi calling might work, but figured this should still work since it's on tmobile's network
I too would like to know this. Im currently with AT&T and have been considering Fi
Anyone having issues with wifi calling? Before rooting my pixel 4 I was able to activate wifi calling. After root it's disabled and won't reactivate. I've tried all the standard things to get it working again but no luck.
Ideas?
Anything?
Any ideas at all?
I'm having no problems with wifi calling on my rooted Google store pixel on Verizon network.

Are you on the October or November build?
November.
I have an unlocked and rooted H910. It is my backup phone and I want to get it to work with a T-mobile mvno sim for wifi calling.
Calls and data work with the sim and the wifi calling toggle is there - but when I switch it on it spins and spins for a bit and then says failed.
I tried 10r stock and Alpha-Omega and they both do the same fail when the toggle is switched on.
I would download another ROM but am I chasing something that just will never work? Or is there a app or service that I can delete that ATT is checking for ATT sim before enabling Wifi calling?
Any tips are appreciated.
Thanks
Not sure if it matters to anyone - but I couldn't find an answer to this. I tried freezing a handful of ATT apps with Titanium Backup. I probably could have wrestled with that a little longer but I gave up. I now have an ATT MVNO sim and it all works fine. So I can confirm that the LG V20 works with wifi calling and VOLTE calling without much issue. (I did have to ask the provider to enable WiFi calling on their end - they made me confirm my 911 emergency address but then it just worked 10 mins later with a reboot)
So - if someone figures this out I am still interested in the answer!
Thanks for looking.
