Which gear will u be getting for the note 4? Or will you get both?
Gear VR for sure!!!
I'm leaning towards the gear s, it would nice to for the gear vr to have lateral head tracking. My buddy has the oculus dk2 and it raises to the next level.

It really depends. If the Gear S is synchronized to your phone plan and bill then yes. If carriers say that you need a separate plan and additional bill then the Gear 2 will be mine

The gear S will be pricey when it came out in my country, and I already have a watch
The gear VR.. Sadly I didn't know wether that gear will be available in my country or not

haha I agree on the more availability part. I am gonna get gear 2. Don't wanna pop another sim in the gear s and manage that too
I got the Gear 1 when I got my Note 3 and I just upgraded to the Nexus 6P. I have tried connecting my Gear to the Nexus 6P and it pairs via bluetooth but I cannot get Gear Manager to see the watch. So, does anyone know if it works with it or only Samsung smartphones? May be time for a smart watch upgrade also

Same is happening for the Gear S, basically my watch is just a watch for now. With it bluetooth-connected, all my calls to my phone go directly to the watch.

I really like the Nexus 6P...one big big difference coming from the Note 3 is I get great signal on the Nexus 6P. I can actually use my phone in places my Note 3 would never work. That alone was worth the upgrade to me.
As far as I know the only samsung watches compatible with non Samsung devices are the gear live and the gear s2. You can connect the gear s via Bluetooth but it will act like a Bluetooth headset.

What I was afraid of. Well, guess Santa will be bringing me a new smartwatch
Don't get the gear s2. (;
......Or would I be better off with a newer version?
Does the Note 4 Gear VR miss out on a lot of apps??
I can get one for £55 or get a newer one for a similar price.

If you can get one for that price I'd say get it! But if you are gonna be upgrading to a newer Samsung flagship device, then I'd recommend getting the latest model Gear VR instead.
Can anybody tell that Samsung Gear VR R322 works on note 4 or note? I want to purchase it for my note 4 but i'm confused whether it works on note 4 or not

The new black Gear VR works with the Note 4.
Bought it for the Note 7 and with the recall was about to return it.
Replaced the usb-c base with the included microusb adapter base
and try with my Note 4 (glad I Keep it) and it fits and works.
Will prompt you to unplug the phone and download and install the Oculus soctware.
Of course you need a stock ROM or a custom ROM with gear VR support.
On the box, all recent Samsung flagships smatphones are mentioned as supported less the Note 4..
