Anyone knows why is the DEVICE encryption is failing to do suceed?
I can encrypt my SD card, but when I try to encrypt the device it starts the process but then reboots and goes back to normal.

Hi everyone,
I enabled the encryption on my unrooted unlocked G2. Once the encryption was done, it rebooted and asked for the pin to boot. In entered the pin but the phone keeps rebooting and asking for the pin again and again.
I have tried more than 20 times, sometimes it boots to android but it shows a warning sign in notification (backup account needed) and then reboots after a few seconds. I tried turning on/off but the same thing happens again.
Is there anyway I can get my data out of this mess before doing a factory reset? Maybe rooting it from download mode and mounting from recovery?
Thanks a lot!
I encrypted my phone and now am unable to decrypt it. I goto settings-->security-->decrypt. The phone turns off and then turns on again after 30 seconds. Phone is still encrypted. Anyway i doing this without a factory reset?
Hi!
I've got an N910C with Lollipop ( I did a factory reset after upgrading and cleared cache) . It randomly decides to reboot, and will keep doing so. After a reboot, I can use it for about a minute till it reboots again. Booting into safe mode fixes it temporarily and it stays fine after safe mode, a regular reboot doesn't help.
I'd prefer not to factory reset, and would like to find the cause (app/sd card? Sandisk 8GB btw)
Cheers, thanks!
My N910A does the same thing except the times it reboots can vary from a minute to an hour later, but it reboots a lot.
Doesn't happen in safe mode only regular boot mode. That tells me it's either an app or SD card.
I swapped SD cards and same issue. I wish there was a log I could look at to see what app is running at the time of reboot, but haven't found any logs that have that info.
I'm stuck and running out of ideas.
Try factory reset again man and remove Sd and try to boot it
You can identify where the problem come from
every time i power on i get message pops up unsuported sd card, i attempt to reboot sometimes phone freeezes , and after several reboots it will work, my phone is rooted stock firmware sm-g935f
any solutions?
Hello, I got a Moto C Plus that's stuck on the LENOVO logo, formatting it is not an option since I still need some data inside of it. The device is encrypted, it boots normally and allows me to put the first password, during the second boot process it gets stuck on the LENOVO logo, If I use ADB I can see the device and it appears as connected but I can't access anything on it. Is there a way I can boot temporarily on a recovery/boot ROM or anything of the sort to take everything out then format it normally? Any advice would be appreciated.
Pulling out data ( user and/or system related ) - what only can get achievd via ADB - requires Android is rooted, requires encryption gets removed before by a Factory Reset what in turn wipes all user-data and removes all user-apps, resets system apps to their initial sate.
