Have you check from the application manager if music app storage permission is turned on?

That's real odd that your external sd is completely empty... But you should set your camera to add pictures to external then move your existing pics to there. Then there's the obvious"remove all the bloat". Check the thread on that...
Yeah I removed all the bloat. I'll move all my pics but that shouldn't be close to 500 mbs
Run a clean master scan as well. Clear some cache

Root explorer fc every time I try to write to external sdcard (sdcard slot - not the internal memory).
I follow the steps just like it states in the prompt and every single time it force closes. I Google it trying to find solution / see if other people are having same issue and no luck.
I downloaded ES Explorer and it works fine but issue continues on Root explorer.
Help please.

Ok, resolved... you have to use the regular "explorer" app which has fix for this issue..

Hi,
I am trying to download maps from GPS Here application to my Sd card but it doesn't work. Is there a way to grant
permission to the Sd card?
I can copy them from the Internal storage to the Sd card with Total Commander but Here doesn't recognize them.
Thanks for help,
Daniel
In the app, Settings / Storage memory. Switch from Internal to whatever the other option is. It will be the internal ID Android uses, not the name you gave your card when you formatted it.
Hi,
This I know but it doesn't work.
It is an issue with the permission to access the Sd card.

It works for me. The SD access limitations only prevents apps from accessing data the app doesn't own. They shouldn't prevent an app from accessing its own data.

Isn't there a way to move apps to sd? I can't find an option to move to sd cards in the application settings
Anyone experiencing the danger issues
I think you can only move apps that were allowed to move in Lollipop. Go to the app, hit Storage, then, if there, Change.

Hi, I recently rooted my s7 edge and have noticed that although I can see my SD card in es file explorer, I cannot grant applications such as es file explorer and titanium backup access to it. This is because when I try to browse for the sd card using the document provider, it does not appear. I have ticked the show sd card but that made no difference. Any ideas on how to fix? Thanks

Fixed it by re-installing stock rom and then rooting through TWRP if anyone is reading this and has the same issue.
Thanks helped me
