Jelly Bean 4.1.2 OTA for Telcel Mexico!

When waking up i received the OTA message that there is an update available (4.1.2).:good: However during the installation an error occurred and the device did not update.
Model: XT925 (Telcel)
Rooted: yes
Will keep trying and post updates. If anyone in Mexico was able to perform the update, please leave a message.

yo tambien recibi la notificacion de una actualizacion existente, utilice el ota rootkeeper o algo asi para desrootearlo y aplique la actualizacion pero no funciono, me parece que es por tener el bootloader desbloqueado, aunque vi algunos comentario en el pefil de motorola mexico donde algunos ponian que se restaurara el equipo aunque no se si esto solucione la actualizacion, mas bien creo que en mi caso es por el bootloader desbloqueado, si eso eso tendre que esperar a que alguien suba el firmware de telcel para poder aplicar la actualizacion manuelmente

Update Telcel 4.1
Estoy en el mismo problema, es por que el titanium daño un app de los default, en mi caso el Quicktime, para que funcione el OTA tienes que tener todos los archivos de origen, por eso ponen que necesitariamos el original.

Yes, you are right. From what i am reading it is because:
1. Unlocked bootloader (mine is locked btw)
2. If you installed some Telcel apps, it wont accept the update.
I did the latter using Titanium Backup.
I will try to install the original ICS Rom and try to update.

En mi caso llame a soporte de Motorola y me dieron estos pasos los aplique pero sigue igual
1. Inicie el proceso con el equipo Apagado
2. Presione las teclas de Volumen Arriba, Volumen abajo mas la tecla de Encendido
3. El dispositivo le presentará diferentes opciones de arranque, con las teclas de volumen desplácese hasta.
Recovery, al estar en ella debe seleccionarla con las dos teclas de volumen debe presionarlas al mismo tiempo.
4. El dispositivo mostrará el texto en azul con fondo negro, Ya con las opciones de reinicio.
5. Utilice la tecla de bajar Volumen para Desplazarse hasta la opción de WIPE CACHE PARTITION y
presione el botón de Encendido para elegir esa opción.
6. Utilice la tecla de volumen abajo nuevamente para seleccionar YES - delete all user data y
presione el botón de poder para confirmar.
7. Luego Con Los Botones de Subir y Bajar Volumen Hacia La Opción. Reboot Sistem Now (Reiniciar el equipo Ahora) y
Pulse el Botón de Encendido para Seleccionar Dicha Opción y el Equipo se Reiniciará
Este Proceso Dura al Rededor de 5 a 10 Minutos.

en mi caso no le he movido otra cosa del sistema pero me imagino que por el bootloader desbloqueado es por lo que no se completa la actualizacion, porque se reinicia mi movil pero cuando va masomenos a la mitad aparece un logo rojo y se reinicia y cuando prende dice que fallo la actualizacion

Logre encontrar la app y efectivamente al ponerla en system/app la instalación pudo upgradear. Mi bootloader esta bloqueado.
Guarde el root con Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper y funciono al terminar el update. 4G y todo funciona hasta el momento. Saludos

I downgraded to ICS using RDS lite 6.0. Now i am back to original rom with all the bloatwear of Telcel.
The only thing now is that the update message does not appear anymore. Anynone?

En mi caso sucedió que borré todas las apps de telcel y al momento de instalar JB igual me tiró a error, supuestamente por una app qeu se llama "onlinealbum1_0_1.apk" es algo de plugger pero intenté restaurar de fábrica y nada
Restauré de fábrica y ya no me llega la actualización

Me sucedió exactamente lo mismo it happens the same thing in my phone, i've restored all the telcel apps but the update notification does not appear

Ya somos tres que reseteamos el teléfono y ahora no recibimos la notificación para el Upgrade. ¿Qué será?
¿Tampoco funciona si navegan hacia Ajustes > Acerca del Teléfono > Actualizaciones?
I'm also not getting the upgrade notification after factory reset. Any guesses?

open a chat wit motorola support and request it, they just ask for the IMEI of your phone. good luck

No, that is not working for me either. I would like to know if someone with an "clean" HD was able to install the update.
(Clean = with all the bloatwear, not rooted and original bootloader)

Tried that, but I was told they can't do that because it's Telcel who is in charge of the system upgrades. It has to be OTA until the Telcel Network sends you the upgrade notification.

Mine is clean: I had it rooted but I restored back and lost root access. I have all the bloatwear from Telcel, and I never touched the bootloader. And I cannot install the update, but I know people who have.

I read this on the internet. I tried it but it didn't work, but it seems to have worked for a lot of people with the similar "Upgrade is already out but when I check it's no available" problem:
1. Go to Settings -> Apps -> All
2. Find Google Services Framework.
3. Tap on Force Stop.
4. Select Clear Data.
5. Head back to the Settings menu, go to About, and check for a System Update.
Some people had to try many times, one guy actually succeeded until his 27th. try.
If anyone tries this out and gets the upgrade, please let us know! I did, but I failed to get it.

I also called Telhell, and the guy told me that I can take my phone to a Centro de Atención a Clientes and they'll do the upgrade for me. I might try that tomorrow, that is, if I have enough time during the afternoon...

I believe that is incorrect. On my first try i had a locked bootloader and it didnt work.
Also, as far as i know, it is impossible to relock the bootloader.

How to re lock the bootloader?

I just spoke to a Telcel representative and he told me that the only way to get the update is to visit a Telcel customer centre...
I seriously doubt that is true, but so far i still havent received the Update.
For the Mexicans: This was the official reply:
lamentablemente Telcel sólo las comunica las actualizaciones pero el usuario es el que puede pasar con su equipo para realizar la actualización.

Encontrar el hilo titulado "China Middleman Back". Esta es la única manera de desbloquear el BL, ya que AT & T no permitirá motorola para liberar los códigos para AT & T Moto Xs. Desafortunadamente, él no está dando los códigos en este momento. Él planea comenzar a vender códigos de nuevo en 2 a 4 semanas.

Hola me podrian ayudar tengo el moto g4 xt1621, lo que sucedió fue que estaba lleno de eolo parche de seguridad de 7.0 no recuerdo si la era de diciembre de marzo pero cuando terminó el sistema de reboot ahora pero no prendio mas, solo prende el led Y la pc lo reconoce ya instale los drivers pero me da error quisiera saber si me podrian ayudar a fondo a recuperar mi moto g4, disculpen pero lo pongo en ingles y español pero no hablo ingles uso el traductor, ayudame porfavor

You should be a little bit more specific regarding to on what version did you were when this happened.
If the white led still works i think that you got a chance that your bootloader would be functional. Try to plug your device (powered off) to a charger while holding VOLUME - button.
Your goal is to enter to the bootloader mode and be able to flash the stock rom (full factory from march).
If this method doesn't work, you got high chances that your device might be soft-bricked, and you'll must wait till the new blank flash files be available.
This Motorola devices aren't the ideal ones for downgrade or update OTA's if you don't know what are you doing (it's clearly your case) because a bootloader and GPT downgrading could be very risky, and in some cases this ends in a bricked device (i'll hope not yours).

Deberías ser más detallista en cuanto a en que versión estabas cuando te sucedió esto, si el led todavía prende puede que tengas todavía un bootloader funcional. Intentá conectando tu dispositivo (apagado) a un cargador presionando el botón VOLUMEN -.
Tu meta es poder entrar al modo bootloader para poder flashear la rom stock, en ese caso, tendrías que flashear la de Marzo. Si nada de esto sirve, posiblemente tu dispositivo este brickeado (como tantos otros en este foro). Estos dispositivos de Motorola no son los ideales para flashear roms sin saber lo que se hace, debido a que hacer un downgrade de la version del bootloader o del GPT termina en un brick.

Se resolvio tu problema de Brick??? tengo el XT1621 y solo enciende el led y la PC no lo reconoce, ya he descargado los drivers de motorola y los de DB y los de Qualcom y nada .............. me puedes decir como lo resolviste ???

Se solucionó el brick
Utilizando la versión más moderna del blank flash se puede recuperar el inicio del bootloader, solo que debes flashear la última versión de Android que sacó Motorola

Debido a un problema que se me presento en mi moto g5 plus con la ultima actualización de la rom pixel experience Android pie, se quedo algo asi como en boot animation y después de hacer varios intentos haciendo infinidades de cosas lo que hice es que instale un bakup que tenia con la anterior actualizacion, pero cuando ingreso mi pin me dice el siguiente msj "Desencriptación incorrecta" Dice La contraseña que ingresaste es correcta, pero los datos están dañados... me da opción de restablecer dispositivo pero solo hace un loop ya que reinicia y vuelve a quedarse donde mismo por lo que me vi en lanecesidad de instalarle el Firmware original, pero tengo duda de que vaya a recibir alguna actualización via OTA ya que reviso manualmente a ver si hay actualización disponible y no hay nada dice que ya esta actualizado con el parque de seguridad de enero 2017 algo asi, estoy en Noutgay 7.0. Espero me ayuden con mi duda.

Hay mucha gente que está teniendo problemas con la actualización de febrero de la ROM Pixel Experience.
Tengo entendido que se debe a la encriptación del dispositivo. Buscá en alguno de estos foros una gu

Debido a un problema que se me presento en mi moto g5 plus con la ultima actualización de la rom pixel experience Android pie, se quedo algo asi como en boot animation y después de hacer varios intentos haciendo infinidades de cosas lo que hice es que instale un bakup que tenia con la anterior actualizacion, pero cuando ingreso mi pin me dice el siguiente msj "Desencriptación incorrecta" Dice La contraseña que ingresaste es correcta, pero los datos están dañados... me da opción de restablecer dispositivo pero solo hace un loop ya que reinicia y vuelve a quedarse donde mismo por lo que me vi en lanecesidad de instalarle el Firmware original, pero tengo duda de que vaya a recibir alguna actualización via OTA ya que reviso manualmente a ver si hay actualización disponible y no hay nada dice que ya esta actualizado con el parque de seguridad de enero 2017 algo asi, estoy en Noutgay 7.0. Espero me ayuden con mi duda.

Moto G xt1542 ROM/ANDROID recomendado?

Hola a todos. Tengo un Motorola G3 xt1542 Android 5.1.1 con root que recientemente instale una ROM tomada de este foro (Personal Argentina (1GB) - XT1542_OSPREY_RETLA-PERAR_5.1.1_LPI23.72-43_cid12) y no tuve problemas para instalarlo. Mi problema es que android es muy muy muy pesado, de hecho estoy usando un Samsung con el casi obsoleto kitkat 4.4.4 y funciona mucho mejor.
He oído que hay roms con Android 7, 8 e incluso 9 para este modelo, pero realmente no voy a instalar hasta que estar seguro. Necesito una rom y android estable y fluida, lo más limpia posible de aplicaciones. Por favor, necesito su ayuda, ya que todavía estoy pagando un Moto E7 plus que me fue robado y no podre tener otro móvil por un tiempo. Espero que puedan ayudarme Desde ya muchas gracias. Trata de escribir en ingles ya que el foro esta en ese idioma. Podes buscar en el foro Moto G 2015 en la seccion Android development para buscar roms fijate si tenes osprey o merlin y de ahi busca una rom que te paresca si buscas la mejor rom para tu osprey te puedo recomendar este hilo que lo estoy siguiendo y esta muy bueno en si mejor rom no hay porque depende de tu gusto. Si tu problema es que no tenes espacio para instalar el sistema operativo intenta hacer un wipe desde twrp en internal storage (esto va a limpiar tu almacenamiento por completo exeptuando sd card) y sino conseguite una sdcard de 2 o 4gb que te va a servir bastante. Lo siento hare las traducciones desde ahora.
instale lineage 17.1 en mi moto g3 pero al reiniciar me aparece una pantalla roja diciendo "KERNEL PANIC DETECTEC" luego carga unos archivos y aparece el mensaje "run oem ramdup pull", hace un conteo y luego inicia y puedo usar el móvil normalmente, pero esto sucede cada vez que reinicia. No pude encontrar mucha información sobre este problema y con la herramienta ADB ese comando lo da como fallo, también probé con lineage 14.1 y aparece el mismo mensaje solo que este caso el teléfono nunca inicia. Según leí esto sucede cuando el kernel no soporta el sistema operativo o algo así. Asique volví al rom stock de android y ese problema no volvió a aparecer. Lamentablemente las versiones de Marshmallow y Lollipop me resultan muy pesadas para este dispositivo, no puedo "congelar" aplicaciones por que las optimiza al reinicio y es muy molesto esperar 5 minutos cada reinicio. Quiero intentar instalar alguna versión Crdroid pero en la instalación pide cambiar el kernel, lo cual no estoy seguro de hacerlo si este sistema operativo no funciona para mi y al volver al rom stock termine siento un caro pisapapeles. Sin embargo tendré en cuenta el post que me dejaste, cuando pueda leerlo con mas tiempo. Gracias por comentar

I installed lineage 17.1 on my moto g3 but when I rebooted I get a red screen saying "KERNEL PANIC DETECTEC" then load some files and the message "run oem ramdup pull" appears, it does a count and then it starts and I can use the mobile normally, but this happens every time you reboot. I could not find much information about this problem and with the ADB tool that command gives it as a failure, I also tried with lineage 14.1 and the same message appears only that in this case the phone never starts. As I read this happens when the kernel does not support the operating system or something like that. So I went back to the stock android rom and that problem did not reappear. Unfortunately the versions of Marshmallow and Lollipop are very heavy for this device, I cannot "freeze" applications because it optimizes them on restart and it is very annoying to wait 5 minutes each restart. I want to try to install a Crdroid version but in the installation it asks to change the kernel, which I am not sure if this operating system does not work for me and when I return to the stock rom I end up feeling an expensive paperweight. Proba havoc os 3.9(Android 10) de chill360, lo unico que te puedo decir segun mi experiencia de este celular es que es un telefono viejo, es util si lo queres usar para ver youtube o navegar internet nada mas pero cuando viene a uso diario cada rom tiene un problema distinto con algo particular es decir no son perfectas y se pueden encontrar varios fallos facilmente asi que te acostumbras a formatear y a reinstalar la rom como si fuera algo habitual. Sobre el error no tengo ni idea de que puede ser pero como dice la linea es el kernel segui las instrucciones de los developers de las roms cuando intentes instalar una y fijate que sea una rom para el dispositivo que tenes en mano osprey/merlin, saludos espero que puedas solucionar tu problema.
