Hello everyone.
I bought this Huawei Mate 8 phone Friday, but, I haven't the quick charge when I connect it to charge it, so I tried to flash B320 ROM to see if it solve my problem, and it does, but after that, I have no GPS, when I download and go in GPS Test, there are Satellites, but they are are only visible, never them fix.
I tried to reinit the phone with factory reset, but nothing changed, with the original ROM I had GPS, but now, with B320 not. I used it everyday, so PLEASE HELP ME ! ! ! ! !
What can I do to solve this. I'm not rooted, because I don't want to pay to unblock Bootloader, so I wait to have my unblock code.
Thank you by advance, and see you soon.
Wich Version of Mate 8?
Unlocking Bootloader cost 4 Euros...
My version of Mate 8 is : NXT-L29C432B320
Install the UPDATE.APP B320 again and factory reset i think this helps
I already did that 2 times.
Update to b321

Any possible solution for the GPS issue?
I test the B320/B321 Gps works without any Problem, but i go back to B180 and B180 has better Batterylife and is more stable
Hello, sorry for the long time of the response.
My problem is solved by one only thing, I bought a body for the phone, but this one is in metal, all around the the phone, only the back is in plastic, so the GPS doesn't pass the metal. Now I have a body in silicon, and no problem with GPS.

Yes you're right.
But i wanted as a normal user to get access to this feature.
For now, i still cannot get any update and i got a funny answer from Honor support.
They told me that i have to go to Serbia if i wants to update my honor since i bought it there last year.
But i lives in africa now lol.
So the only remaining solution is the local update when i will finally find the right procedure.

The right procedure would be
Make a backup of all your data, contacts, apps etc using Huawei hisuite.
Download the firmware you want to upgrade to and extract to get UPDATE.APP
Copy it to a folder named dload in your SD card and press and hold power, Vol up and Vol down until phone boots up. Let go of power after booting but keep other two pressed for five six sec more.
It will do a forced upgrade and you will lose all your stuff. Boot into Android, update Huawei backup app and restore your backup using hisuite and you are done.
Hope it helps.
looks clear.
Thank you very much muradulislam
Still in beta. It's not a big of a change from lollipop
sorry folks but after reviewing all my experience with MM (B380) i recommend to update with Lollipop B180 (B190 if available) only!
With B380 it is possible, that you will get some trouble with it! At the moment, B380 was removed from the support side of HONOR!
Maybe it has a reason!
That's a bit sad to hear. But it's full of sense. Thank you.

Most of the users that i know (me included!), did not confirm that!
i own two Honor 7. I tried MM on one of them for four weeks. After this period, i have done a rollback to B190 Lollipop.
Since this moment, all my problems are gone! I could not believe, that HONOR will bring us an trouble-free version of MM.
Really strange that Huawei remains unable to deliver a clean Os. Such a big company with that quality of phones !

i didn’t understand your friendly offer! I had used MM on my phone, so i was able to install MM on it! But i have get the same notification problem with "WhatsApp"
as the other users have reported here! And some of my apps have stopped their work during the night. I had protected these apps against termination in the energy manager, but it doesn't help! I think, it is a problem of the build in MM "deep sleep" functionality! And yes, i had made a factory reset in the beginning of my experiences.
But thx anyway!

I think I need a rollback file for L09C636B563 to L09C636B191 specifically. Please, if anyone has this file or knows how to roll back from Nougat to MM on Mate 8 L09C636 model, show me how. I used L29 asia rollback package to downgrade from Nougat, then flashed L09C636180 mm package from SD card via three buttons combo. Didn't have any problems.
After that you can update via OTA to 192.

I have no problem with bluetooth so far. Battery life sucks. I used to get one and a half days on MM. Now it's < 1 day on Nougat. And the "OK Emy, Where Are You" Voice control doesn't work either. It worked on MM perfectly
I just hope I don't brick my phone going back to MM. I love my Mate 8 so much.

If after update from VNS-L31C432B160 to B370 you have problems with Bluetooth and nfc (in my case) you should rollback to MM B160, then flash to B161 and get the B371 version via ota and everything should work perfectly, even firmware version. Take a look at update size, should be 1.99GB, in 99% you have installed 1.25 ota update which is not full.

After that, I installed B160 and then updated to B161.
Omg this is annoying!
How do you rollback? Are there any complications with a device with unlocked bootloader?

That is the odd thing... When I am at B160, then I am told I have the latest firmware...
I guess I have to stick to Marshmallow as I have rolled back 4 times now. First to B160 and then patched to B161. Every time I get the 1.25gb version of Nougat offered.
I even tried using Firmware Finder to get the 1.99gb version. It installed fine, but I only had very basic Google Apps installed on the phone after doing that. I didn't even have a keyboard, and none of Huawei's apps.
I have the same problems as described here. If I dengrade to B160 do a I lose all of my data, apps and settings?
Is there an instruction how I can downgrade to B160?

November 2017 confirmed
There is a kernel in one of the brandnew l09 updates on ff that is absolutely awesome. Its says unreleased on the about kernel but it works so great and has support for power killing apps and best is the fingerprint issue is gone . I took it and rooted it for kangb589.
If someone has a flashable zip that converts al to south america 605 cust and oem info i could create a zip flashable via twrp system , it was already pree rooted r w rw for delevopment.
You didn't answer previous few questions... Did you actually flashed Android O? If yes, any screenshots? If not then say so so people stop expecting..... Lol. Not an issue.....
Yes I used dload method about 3 times before successful and to boot into recovery , facrory reset and I had to use emui 5.0 supersu in the recovery 3.1.1.1 and then it booted , developer options worked also. Just broken wifi , I did not get into testing much , there is a link on asia site talking about the release. It also appears that the l09 is being sold in many more regions now , huawei doesn't communicate at all even with sr beta testers. Just update and hope it doesn't brick is huaweis way of thinking I guess.
I installed it on a l29 that was debranded to DL 17 used stock recovery to factory reset and then installed 3.1.1.1. Basically same thing as how we installed the original beta for noughat.

Hello,
I know, this is a Honor 8 lite forum but I did not found my device, this is why I'm here.
I have one question only, does my device support ota? Or anyone knows this as a problem?
My build number is: pra-lx1c900b004
I know this is the global model, but with firmware finder too, I can not find an update, and it's only displays 2 old ones, but I can't download them.
I have another pra phone, it is a p9 lite 2017, european model: pra-lx1c432b162
This phone got 2 ota updates before.
So is my device will ever get ota? I did looked up a lot of models like all la1 versions and all of them had some updates before. I'm a bit worried because I will want to upgrade to android 8.0 if that will happen.
This is my first post so if it's bad, I'm sorry.
Waiting for an answer

So the latest thing what happened, I just that silly that I did not sat down. Now I tried to install another official rom but a p10 lite. Yes I know I was that dumb. On bootup I have the basic android logo and everything works except my sim card, volume, vibrate motor, play services and update menu. (Update failed at 99%)Now I have emui 5.1 on my Honor 8 Lite which came to me with p8 lite 2017 software... My build number now is I know that this is bad, but: NRD90M test keys. Model number: generic_a15
Is there anything that I could to to my phone to work?

Yes, from firmware finder, was-lx1c10b170.
Yes it's Honor, yes it is PRA but I don't really know that. The p8 lite 2017 system was pra-lx1c900b004, that is worked with the phone, but I can't download it from firmware finder, so I tried do download c432 cause you know it's the european. I have it on my sd card inside the dload folder, but the install just fails at 5% sadly..
