Hi, Yesterday I tried installing the Global dev ROM. It worked fine for a few hours. Then I went out to run some errand and as I was returning my phone fell down and rebooted. After that it started showing SIM card not inserted and a error msg saying device ID not valid. Then using MiFlash flash all method I flashed the global stable ROM. Now SIM is detected but I only get 2G signal and no 3G. Also I cannot use data. My device model no. is 2014818. My IMEI number is intact. Please help.

I guess you have lost your IMEI... try *#06# to check whether you have a valid IMEI or not...
Thanks. i used mtk droid tools for changing the imei and it fixed the problem.
Rooted VS980 with Bliss rom installed. All of the sudden I am getting a 'no data sim' message. If I remove the sim it changes to no sim card message. I tried the sim in another phone and got signal. I am getting no data and no cell coverage. It was working great and I made no changes today. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I experienced this, too, under the following conditions:
- New SIM which isn't registered/enabled yet
- A few days back when Vodafone had massive problems in Germany
I reckon this means that you have a SIM installed (duh..) and it cannot (although registered) access data services. I don't think this is ROM- or device-related
I am having a similar issiue...
I've tried the sim in another phone and it worked and a known working sim in this phone and it didn't work.

I experienced the same problem with a T-Mobile HTC M8 running CM 13. I fixed it by reflashing the stock HTC rom using the RUU program. I figured that reflashed the radio firmware, which I suspect was the real problem. I could not simply reflash the radio firmware directly because my device was "s-on" meaning that the HTC security software still had the radio partition locked.
Hi all. I was using Smallwiz v6.1 then wanted to try xXx No Limits v5. I didn't really care for the feel of it so I refreshed Smallwiz v5 which I like more. Now it won't recognize my Sim card. I clean flashed xXx and then clean flashed Smallwiz. It was working fine on xXx and was working fine on Smallwiz v6.1. I tried flashing stock DPD3 but got an FC on boot (SystemUI). So back to Smallwiz v5 with no network signal.
Thanks for any help.
Did you check APN settings
Yes I've gone over APN settings.
When I boot with sim card removed the status bar says no sim card. But it doesn't say that with sim card installed. Screenshots show my IMEI is fine compared to the info on the box the phone came in and sim status showing only my number as correct
I flashed back to xXx rim and have network access again...
Hi,
I am having weird issue with the device, the sim card slots automatically getting ejected/disabled with in 5 minutes of device restart. I have to restart it again n again to make it stay.
Sometimes it stays upto 2-3 hours and then gets disabled, i have tired with different SIM cards the same issue persists with them.
I have ran the SIMI test ,it says working for two sims when they have network and if i do test after sim slot gets disables/ejected it shows "something wrong".
Is this related to software or the hardware??
I have the issue with both .313 and current version.
Using Airtel and Jio SIM.
any help?
Sim card is not detected
I'm having same issue, none of my sim cards show up it just says no sim. Also I'm on stock rom, never rooted or tinkered with in any way but upon checking the "root integrity check" in boot menu it says test fail . Could really use some help
Probably Google play services error update to the latest stable version.
Hello guys.
Recently, my phone's EFS files & IMEI got lost. I managed to "recover" my phone from its unusable state, but my phone refuses to detect the SIM.
My IMEI was 0, but I changed it back to my original IMEI. Yet my SIM still does not work.
The SIM itself works on another phone.
EDIT: It also seems that the SIM is indeed getting detected on my Mi A1, but no mobile network, and messages/calls do not reach me.
For the full story:
I flashed a MIUI 12 GSI (Android 9). Then, wanting to try out an A11 custom ROM, I flashed it, like I usually did.
It took extraordinarily long to load, so I force shut it down (this probably corrupted my EFS and stuff) and from then on no ROMs would work, and TWRP would give me a black screen, and a myriad of other problems
After 2 days of non-stop research, anxiety and magic I managed to "fix" my phone. The SIM was working at some point, but along the process it lost its IMEI, and even though I managed to restore it, the SIM does not get detected at all.
I would appreciate any help at all. Thanks for reading.
