Finaly got it! What to do now?

Ok guys, finally have my s3, lovely. so, as im a flashing addict i need some advice now. what to install? what is the best rom out there? Any nice tweaks or what ever?
im at work and cant search whole xda so i ask you guys! help an adict

Omega is always a good starting point but don't just try roms. There are quite a few mods you can install regardless of rom just make sure the base matches .

Each ROM is a little bit different.. read the OPs.. the features, the tweaks.. see which one YOU like!

Go root it and flash CWM.
Once your done download my ROM and try it out and tell me how you like it.

Closed, I recommend reading some threads in the development section there is also a thread in the general section that lists available roms and mods/etc, "What's the best rom" or "What roms should I try threads" are OT and not needed.
Also post questions in the Q and A section in future.

Galaxy s5 roms

Hello to everyone, I'm new in rooting and flashing but I tried sometimes. Now I'm on stock lollipop 5.0 I tried unroot as I saw on you tube but I can't get ota updates anymore even after wipe data reset etc. My fingerprint scanner is not working and also the camera is blacked sometimes. I wanna ask if I can solve all this and also if there is a fast and smooth rom with no problems. I read something about the zombie rom which is like s6. I hate touchwiz and maybe the new one is better. Can anyone give some advise?

Try wiping and flashing a stock rom in Odin. As for fast and smooth roms, the fastest roms are usually CyanogenMod or it's forks. I wouldn't recommend Zombie rom, as it has some basic bugs which need to be ironed out. And it's still running standard S5 touchwiz (plus some nice S6 mods and apps).
Basically if you want a stable, fast and non-touchwiz rom CM is the way to go.
Otherwise it's all very individual and depends on how you use your device, so the best way to know is to try for yourself. Threads about the "best rom" are usually forbidden. Also, since you say that you're a newbie I highly recommed to take some time to read ALL OF THE STICKY THREADS in each section of the S5 forum. Reading them usually helps A LOT. :good:

Which ROM to choose!?

After trying lots of ROMs 5.1.1 and 6 that didn't make me happy I'm back on stock 5.0.1 which was the last release for my phone. I like it the best since it's the only ROM that hasn't major bugs and it remains fast over time where the custom ROMs suffer from major lag after time and weird crashes I do not experience in the stock ROM.
I would like however to get rid of all the bloatware.
Is there a stock ROM which is optimised and debloated? I don't seem to find one and I've looked around believe me.
Hope anyone has a good tip.

I don't think you actually can ask people for these kind of stuff on the Original Android forum.. This need to be asked in General Stuff i think or its just not asked and try yourself or in the ROM forums itself to ask how stock it is i dont know.

New custom rom development for galaxy s6 edge

Hey guys im a custom rom developer and i am working on a new custom rom and i want to form a team of developers to help me with this big project the mod will be called LegendaryMod. I have high hopes for this rom but if i had some help i think we could get this job done and everyone who helps will be quoted in the software it self the job you done and the software you worked on and this includes the future rom versions. but i want this to be built from scratch. i want it to have the best of all roms this should be a unique rom something that stands out we need this to be optimized so if your interested message me or use my Skype. Best rom with the least bugs?

I never flashed a rom before, but I think it's time I update to Pie. In you opinions what is the best rom that has everything working?

I know this is your first time flashing a rom, but one of the holy rules of XDA is "Do not ask what is the best ROM". I would suggest to look through the active threads, find a rom that catches your attention. Make a backup and flash the ROM.

Try stock with edge sense and some mods in themes/apps section. If you need more customizations, go for havoc.
