Hello everyone. I'm new to this site. I looked through some of the threads and didn't see an answer to my question. Is talking through a bluetooth headset while using the smartwatch for the caller id functions possible? Is it up to app that the smartwatch uses or is it the hardware that the smartwatch uses that would or would not allow this?
Thank you in advance for any insight on my question.
Yes it is possible through an app called truly smart device. I have u8 SmartWatch and a Bluetooth headset if you try to connect both you can but one only handles phone calls audio. So if you use the headset for calls you wont get caller ID through watch and cant make calls through watch but can still get all notifications. If you download this app from googleplay you can get caller ID to watch as a notification while using blutooth headset to answer.
Just download the app then connect your SmartWatch to phone then uncheck phone audio and media audio in your SmartWatch blutooth menu then go to app and connect app to watch. Now you are ready to connect blutooth headset any time to use for calls and media and the watch will do noftifications and caller ID and sms only not interrupting your headset connection or audio

bricked???
Hi folks,
I tried to recover it to factory settings, but in TWRP I accidentally wiped everything from this watch (OS as well) and now I am unable to restore it. After restart, just Zeblaze logo is on screen and it's impossible to turn watches off. Does anyone have an idea what to do? Is it bricked or what? Thanks anyone, who could help me somehow.
Hi guys.. for a simultaneously smartwatch and BT headset connection, Truly Smart work for calls and audio.......... but "audio" mean phone media player with phone/SD music storage... right? Or i can also use smartwatch player with his storage and hear his music on BT headset?

I got really excited when I saw your response and when i got the chance I downloaded the app and got started. Unfortunately like some of the comments under the app I too got the white screen or what appeared to be zeros where letters should be when I received a phone call. Its been about a month now. Maybe I'll give it another try and see what happens.
Thank you for referring the app. Hopefully the bugs have or will be worked out.

Hello,
I have a u8 smart watch. And pair with my phone.
My problem is this:
When a call arrives, my phone and watch is ringing. And i answer call on my watch, i talk on the watch. Also i answer on the phone, it always send sound and mic. To the watch.
Now, is there a way that selecting active device for speaking on it.
Ios do it like i told. If you answer on the watch you speak on the watch, and ıf you answer on the phone you speak on the phone.
Is there a way for control speaking device (watch or phone).
Thank you...
If I recall, the u8 connects as a media device only, and requires phone audio or call audio to be routed, or it disconnects? If so, then no, I don't think you can manage that.
You do it on the phone. Select anything but Bluetooth.
Maybe you can try a program like automateit to disable BT on incoming calls until hangup.
I'd certainly buy the watch that has an "answer on phone" button on the incoming call screen. I believe it's one of the standard Bluetooth headset commands so why don't they use it?
I partially solved the problem with tasker. I scheduled a task that sets bt off when call screen. Thank you anyway my friends.
The watch is great for notifications but I don't want to talk through the watch all the time, when I take a call I have to use the watch which isn't very private, can I set it up so it notifies me of a call but I can still use the handset?
I have a HTC M8 connected to a U8 smartwatch via bluetooth using BT notifier

I've got exactly the same problem.
The only solution I think it's to desactivate the bluethooth when you don't want to use the watch, not really confonrtable...

I have an answer - When you receive the call there is an option on the handset saying Audio Device or words similar to that, press that and all your options come up
]Bluetooth device (whatever your device is)
Speaker
HTC One M8 (or whatever your phone is)
My phone will not make a video call in facebook messenger. It rings once or twice and it disconnects. This is my second v20 and neither one has worked. Is anybody else having this problem?
Are you using a smart watch that can act as a Bluetooth headset? Turn Bluetooth of and try that, if it works go into the device specific settings in the list of connected Bluetooth devices and durable the headset profile.
I do have a gear s2 connected to my phone. I can use an app like oovoo and it works file for video calling. So i just turned off bluetooth and facebook messenger works. So how can i have my watch connected and use facebook messenger fir video calls? My wife has an iphone 7 plus and apple watch and hers works fine

Right you need to disable the headset profile in the device-specific bluetooth settings (hit the little gear icon by the device name in the bluetooth devices list and hit the switch for call audio to turn it off.).

Yours is some unrelated issue. Likely the device is unable to negotiate an audio codec when setting up the bluetooth headset profile. I don't know. Try the same thing as my last suggestion.
Hi, I want to know if there is any app for my finow q1 to controll via bluetooth the song on my smartphone, I found one but I had to pair the app on my smartphone and on my watch every time I wanted to listen to music D:
There is any app to call with the watch but having the SIM card on my phone? connected via bluetooth?
Thank you
Sergio
Which app do you use? I can't find any one. But for Bluetooth calling, nope, hardware limitation, you can't make a call without sim inserted.
Hi hello guys how are you. So i have th essential phone and the gear s3 frontier. When the watch is paired to the phone whenever i receive or make a phone call even using the phones dialer. I would get no sound at all. The other person cant hear me either. I noticed that even if i pick up a call with the phone it would automatically switch to the watch. I think it might be a glitch thinking is more like a radio Bluetooth. So even if i switch to the phone or speaker. No audio at all. If i turn off the Bluetooth everything is back to normal. Any suggestions. I would like to keep on using my watch. Sometimes im not near my phone and would like to talk through the watch. If i go into the Bluetooth settings i can toggle the option for voice calls. I would get the notification when receiving a call but on the watch i cant only decline now.
You have to go in BT settings and set the watch not to be used for phone audio
no audio when answering an incoming call, while paired with a smartwatch
hi,
I'm experiencing the same thing, but I would use another title for the bug (see above).
The answer in post #2 is helping me to get audio when answering a phone call, BUT I can't use my smartwatch (Gear S3) for making calls or answering calls anymore.
So when I disable the "phone audio" in the smartwatch Bluetooth connection profile, the phone sends the audio to the earpiece, as no audio Bluetooth device is connected --> audio is available when answering the call.
But as I want to use my smartwatch for making and answering calls, I'd like to get a solution for this.
Side note: there is no audio on both ends. I can't hear the other end and the other end can't hear me. And the "no audio" thing is only present for the first 10 seconds of a call. After that the audio starts to work on both ends via phone (when watch is connected as BT audio device).
