Looking to pick up a Nexus 6P and I'm wondering about standby battery life. I've generally been hearing good things about battery life but every time I see my wife's iphone 6s plus have 98% battery left after 30 min of use and 6 hours of standby I'm envious.
I've seen pretty good stand by from a note 5 or galaxy s6 but really dislike touchwiz.
What can you guys tell me about it?
Thanks!

I've had mine for about two weeks now, and with all things being stock, the standby time for me ends up around three days with about 5 hours screen on time.
My usage isn't massively heavy with gaming, but I do browse a lot, mainly via WiFi.

So I have had my iconia for about a week and love it! For being a nearly stock device I can't complain. This is just some screenshots showing my battery life I have been getting first thing I did was charged for 4.5 hours and then drained to about 5% before I fully charged it again for 4.5 hours. After that second charge these are my stats before I drained the battery completely and had to charge.

Awesome
You obviously let the tab spend a lot of time asleep, but great life none the less.
Try playing Hero of Sparta (full version) for a while and watch what happens. I get an average of 12 to 14 hours of use a day from my A500.
By the way, you broke the battery in perfectly. I wish more people would, there would be a lot less complaints.
Yes it slept a good bit of that. I also run juice defender plus and its nice since it toggles my wifi and controls app syncing when screen is off After looking the the dates of those screenshots and when I would have unplugged it I'd say it spent a solid 2 days screen off and I would bet that remaining 13 hours is accurate I can confirm a good 3 hours of HD YouTube and a good 4 hours of angry birds, stupid zombies, and NFSR curtisy of my Little brother and the rest email and xda app of course

My MAXX has been acting up as of late with what I believe to be battery related issues. The phone would run fine to 50% battery and then become unstable, sometimes it'll all of a sudden drop down to 5% and more often would reboot. Ordered an Onite 3500mah battery off Amazon and installed it. Charging as I am typing this post. Hope it fixes my problems as I still love this phone even being an iPhone 6s owner for a while now. Lenovo can go suck it, it's not Motorola's fault it is not upgrading the MAXX to Lollipop, it's the new management.

Currently sitting at 70% on the same charge as the OP. Seems like the phone is doing OK with the new battery. Will see if it'll make it through the day without a charge. I miss the JB days when the phone legitimately can go without a charge for days. KitKat and Lollipop ended that with a quickness. My iPhone 6s with its tiny battery have very similar battery life to the MAXX on normal use but iOS is much better at idling as I can go without a charge for days on low usage occasions. The MAXX with Greenify, Amplify and Power Nap still can't come close, don't know how the deep doze feature in Marshmallow compares. Guess I'll find out here shortly as CM13 for the MotoX seems to be coming along nicely thanks to a few dedicated members. Guess the trigger point would be when they fix the flashlight issue... They seem to have everything else working.

My phone when I leave it alone it consumes about 3% an hour with everything off like (Bluetooth, AOD, NFC, Mobile data, and sync) only my WiFi is on.
Is it normal or what?
My Huawei P9 was much better.
P.S: my S8 is Snapdragon variant

this photo describes my battery life
Bout the same as what I have, I've noticed if i customize the "mid" power thing on the battery choices and just turn brightness to 5% and allow the notfications I get a lot better life and dont really notice it slowing down any with the cpu limiter. Its an option if you're stuck with the phone.. I'm waiting for Pixel XL 2 to come out then i'm goin back.
Get the Galaxy S8 Plus Battery Case, Wuloo Charger Case 5500 mAh Extended Backup Battery Juice Pack Rechargeable Charging Case Power Bank Cover for Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus 6.2 inch. It's the best in class, by far.

Doesn't sound normal. I have AOD on, WQHD+, 50% brightness, on WiFi most of the day, and I can get 5-6 hours of SOT (15-16 hour day). When I leave it alone it drains 1% per couple hours (2-3 hours maybe).
I do have Package Disabler installed and disabled the stuff I don't use. I also have several apps set to always be sleeping since I don't need them to be running in the background. It's found under Settings > Device Maintenance > Battery > scroll to the bottom > Always Sleeping Apps
I have the Canadian Snapdragon version.
It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Moto Z3 Play before depleting the battery.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
A lot of screen time . When the battery pack goes to zero. I have a lot of battery that goes for ever.
7 hours SoT without battery mod is a really good result i think.

I haven't had a chance to test it without the battery mod attached. It's just soo easy to leave it attached, and the battery pretty much lasts me a full day and when I get home I'm at about 40% on the battery mod, but 80% on the phone, so I can see myself getting about 2 days of battery if I were to run them both to empty.
One thing I do wish though, is that there was a way to set the settings to only allow the phone battery to charge to 80% when on charger. (Hell, would be great to also only let the battery mod charge to 80% as well as this would make for the longest lifespan for both)
Happy camper. I didn't use a Power Pack, and Havoc is installed.
How does havoc work for you? Any deal breaking bugs?
This is the reason I buy V20s.
Nobody realizes the value of an extendable battery..
I don't want a battery bank,
I don't want the latest processor,
I don't want a picture perfect camera
I want a good phone w/ all the normal smart phone things you'd ever need
But most importantly - I want it to be available when I need it.
I need to use GPS for 12 hrs straight w/ the brightness on 100% and still have enough battery for a few more days?
No problem.
I need to look something up at a random time & location OH NO is my phone charged!?
No problem, its always charged.
My phones battery is at 15% and I wont be home for a few hours, I'm getting a low battery warning!
No problem, you still have an entire day of battery before you actually need to charge it.
These screenshots of 10 Day Battery life and estimated 12 Days is using a 3 year old extended battery...
Why is there no more extended battery phones available?
Why does nobody make an extended battery for say the Samsung Xcover Pro?
Makes no sense imo its the only feature I care about now.
Almost modern phones are more than good enough and continue to focus on features that make next to no difference from last years phone..

Yoooo Mod guess what - this wasnt a question about the V20 for Q&A
An extended Battery IS A MOD...
it was in the correct place originally.
I was discussing battery mods.
LOL
**** you mod you're a piece of ****
Deleted the wrong one dumbass,
You're the one that duplicated my post into the wrong thread!
