I wan't to get rid of the current branded rom (csc = pls), but odin doesn't let me to install any stock rom other than pls ("fail" message after flashing).
The phone doesn't have a simlock, just a "csc lock" as it seems.
I have rooted the device and tried to change the csc with the app "Phone info" but that didn't work. Phone info says it doesn't support single csc devices or something.
What else can i try?
What carrier are you with...I don't recognise that code....

Indeed it's Polish. I'm not Polish but live in Holland. Got this S5 second hand from a Polish guy.
I just installed CM13 and am happy so far. Gone is all the bloatware. Phone info still says PLS. Not important anymore for now but still looking for a way to change this (in case i want to sell the S5 with a Dutch stockrom).

Why it shows that active csc : xsp/btu
My current/active CSC is BTU .
Can you explain please.
So far i know that my phone came with France (XEF) firmwire.
Then i flashed Xsp and after then Sintel based firmwire.
I had a problem that i could not access on call divert options.
Then I flashed BTU firmwire which was downloaded from sammobile.Then that problem was solved.
Everything seems fine.But recently i checked Sammobile and i saw another update came on that changes the csc 'G1' to 'J3'
But i can't find that update via OTA! Is there any problem or its Normal . I'd be thankful to you if you help me with this

If you install a custom rom & rooting your device can it stop you from sending and receiving SMS? because ever since i have rooted my device there is a delay on receiving any sms, calls and network work fine but SMS seems weird and it wasn't like that before rooting and installing a custom rom :\
I installed the correct CSC for my region (VAU) Australia Vodafone
could it be the a incorrect CSC?

just realised that the CSC is branded that i have installed. Could this be the reason why ?
Hello, I'm having a slight problem. I have two Galaxy S7E, one is of a friend, and we got them from Amazon Spain. One of them I KNOW came from Italy, and the other I have no idea.
Either way, on ONE of them has Japanese as a system language while the other doesn't. The only difference I could see is the baseband, is there any way to change that? Is this the reason why I have Japanese on one and on the other one no?

Update: I just checked, and one of them has Vodafone Italy and the other one is TIM Italy. But for some reason the Baseband is -BB and not -B4 or -B1. Did something go wrong?
Dude who cares? Just flash a stock firmware of ur liking with odin. And u will have both japanese. and choose one without branding. and ur warranty and everything else also stays intact so no worrys. just happies.
Hi, recently I flashed/updated via Odin (all the files including CSC, not the Home_CSCS) my phone (S7 edge G935f) with the latest Germany Vodafone firmware (QD2), previously my phone was DBT. Now I encountered the following "problems". I am not able to run any USSD codes and my imei registration status says "Not registered". The device doesn't seem to behave weird, I have carrier signal and full LTE speed.
Will I be able to receive OTA updates in the future?
Did I do anything wrong?
Any information is welcomed.

I have a problem. I use stock XEO ROM (unbranded firmware for Poland) and all my carrier features like WiFi Calling or VoLTE were working correctly (Service Provider SW version in About Phone said back then that CSC is XEO/XEO/OMN - my phone is from Italy, that's why the last bit is different).
I visited Russia recently and got a local SIM there. After using it my configuration changed and now back home carrier features stopped working, CSC in About Phone changed to XEO/SER/OMN.
Is there any way to trigger the configuration change again so it goes back to previous state without having to reflash everything? I don't have root.
