MIUI 8 will be available for my old Redmi 1S runing KitKat. But seriously, there will be a version running Marshmallow. I just don’t know when.
Downloaded and installed it, fp works well, no bugs found yet. And it's MIUI 8 based on Android 5.1.1...
for gapps use google installer which can be found on MIUI forum, don't flash gapps because you'll face error.

Its official leak !!! they uploaded the wrong link of 6.0 base instead of 5.1.1 base !! it was not noticed for a specific time so i got the link at that time !!!! now they rollbacked to 5.1.1

Its true and is working 100% but don't forget to erase all including internal storage !!!
It's not for Kate. It's for Kenzo! I ported an older Kate Release for Kenzo and I know it. For sure it's for Kenzo!!! Kate system partition is bigger than Kenzo partition and if it is for Kate, it isn't able to boot. It's for Kenzo FOR SURE and has some users in MIUI Forum that flashed FASTBOOT ROM wiping ALL including Internal Storage that get this FULLY WORKING!

It's probably fake because the nexus 5 is not getting N.
Definitely fake....video has been posted on august 6, and its not possible to make a ROM for nexus 4 without the AOSP source code for Nougat, which is still being pushed out. How they made it call nexus 4 in the settings ? Probably by changing the init.d file ? I'm not sure how but I guess there is a way to change the phone's model number because that's not a nexus 4. If it was, such a ROM would have been here on xda in the first place.
PS: I hope there soon will be a functional ROM out soon after the AOSP code is out there. Waiting patiently.

There are numerous marshmallow roms for mako; personally speaking, I've been using Chroma since long, very stable, almost 4-4.5 hours screen on time, no random reboots and super smooth. It's all a question of which features you want, you can try chroma/fake nexus rom/cm13, they are all good in their own ways

Yes, there is Chinese Pre-installed keyboard & some apps u'll find in this ROM as it is China ROM.. & most of the part is no Play Store there..
So in that case you can use Google Play installer.. Works well..
Global & Chinese apps compare top both..
In Global ROM u'll find All Google apps including Play Store & no Chinese apps..
But in China ROM there is no Google apps & some useful pre-installed Chinese apps..

I hope there won't be a problem compiling with GCC toolchain. 4 Prime sources had problems I don't see how to solve.
That is awesom news. Sources for Mi5, Mi Mix and Mi Note 2 were released today. I hope Redmi Note 4(X) is really following soon.

OMG. BTW what's there deal with not releasing it? It will only +vely affect rn4 image. So why won't they release it?

It won't. We are minority users in number as people don't ask for open source after buying their phone, they just use it. Open sourcing won't do any major impact so it's not a priority and it's up to them.
Also, it is possibly because of the nature of Android. What we're asking is for them to give us the codes to their system because what they have is ****ty and other people can do better. Hurtful? Yes. Disrespectful? Yes. This is my assumption but I'd feel the same way too if my work is being treated this way. I'm not accusing devs of this mindset but is an unintended possibility too.
It isn't hurting us anyway if we don't have sources, we just choose to imagine it will.
