Does AdMob support landscape advertising? I feel like most who use AdMob in their apps when the app is landscape it still shows the ad portrait and would require a user to rotate to view correctly. I couldn't find any other information online about this.

I have a proposition for any developer that's up to it. I need to build an app for Directv (also Dish in the future) technicians. It will include the following features:
-Contact list with important DTV contacts, with the option to add custom contacts for supervisors, etc.
-Browser add-on or mod of some kind that will allow the use of the camera as a barcode scanner to populate fields within the browser.
-Spreadsheet or something that can use camera with barcode scan to keep track of inventory, it will need an option to save a file every day and be able to email it to the desired recipient.
-Spreadsheet to keep track of jobs completed and amounts to be paid.
-Expense tracker that will be able to take pic of receipts, input and track mileage, and other expenses.
-Satellite finder, there is already an app out there called Dish Pointer Pro, it uses the camera to show you approx. position of satellites in the sky. If we can build something similar only geared only for Directv satellites, that would be great. If not maybe just a shortcut to that app.
-List or rather searchable database (maybe on a webserver if file size is an issue) of all Directv remote control codes for TV, DVD, etc.
-Flashlight
I will be selling this app in the market and will split profits 50-50 with the developer for as long as they continue to develop and support it.
I can do the graphics in photoshop (I am a amateur web designer but I am pretty good) and all of the marketing for this software via my Installation supply website at www.lcisupply.co and word of mouth to other installation companies here in AZ.
I will also be developing PC software and a Web Interface for supervisors to log into and check on inventory and expenses etc. to go along with it in the near future.
My goal is to develop an all-around software suite, that will make the technicians jobs easier and also help the installation companies keep track of inventory and pay for their techs. The android app is just the beginning of what I hope will become a widely used technician management system.
Please ask any questions you may have.
PM me for serious interest in becoming the developer.

Hi;
I have an application and I want to use it with KIOSK mode. In iPad, there is Guided Access which is perfect. But for Android, I couldn't fine a good solution. Apps like SureLock are good, but expensive. How can I do that?

You could develop your own 'kiosk' application, but that would take a LOT of effort, testing, debugging, etc. You'll also need to have plenty of Android knowledge.
There might be free apps out there but I'm honestly not aware of any out there that do a good job. Android does everything it can to NOT let an application do what kiosk apps are trying to do (Lock a user completely out of the rest of the OS).
Is your application web-based or a standalone Android application? Eitherway, another app called KioWare for Android (You can search for it on the Play Store) might be something you would be interested in. KioWare is a browser application which simply locks down Android to only display the browser. KioWare also has a "Single App MOde" which simply keeps another Android app on top.
I'm not sure if KioWare for Android is more or less expensive than SureLock but I can assure you our support is fantastic. If you ever run into any issues or have questions about your setup you are more than welcome to contact our support team.
Full disclosure: I work for KioWare and am one of the main developers of KioWare for Android.
One idea i had: you could make the app a launcher(need to put Intent.ACTION_LAUNCHER or something similiar into the intent filter).

For Android devices, Single Application Mode in ]SureLock is the equivalent to iOS Guided Access Mode. It locks your Android device to just one application, hides bottom navigation bar, prevents access to device settings and notifications and also disables hardware buttons. You can use this feature in its trial version for as long as you want.
looking for admob like stuff.
admob simply too slow to show ads before user see the ads. instead they close the window.
you can try to use UnityAds service
its quite simple and easy to setup, but their support is so very slow
Maybe Mobvista does

they use CPA model, but ads is quick, also, support is always there anytime you have some question.
MobClix, 2nd in popularity after AdMob, easy to integrate, multiple ad networks, pays more than AdMob but has high payment threshold before it will pay out, reportedly pays with 3 months delay.
MobFox, targets high revenue ads in US and Europe, allows you to control the minimum ad-click price.
MoPub, new kid on the block, multiple ad networks, different ad types (banner, full screen, video ads). Currently working on support for in-app payments, not really turnkey integration.
LeadBolt, multiple ad types like interstituals and video ads, high fill rate.
Airpush, pushes ads to the notification pane, some apps that use Airpush have been temporarily banned from Android Marketbecause users regarded this as malicious app behaviour. Has opt-out system either by entering your IMEI or installing an opt-out app.
Sure, there are quite a few networks out there to test, but results will depend heavily on your genre/user geos and also the active advertisers they have on the roster.
We have a full list here, with all their data: Thalamus.co
It's used more on the UA side, and we have average CPI + install rates by genre/platform/country, but it should be able to give you a good sense of potential eCPMs and other networks you might want to add into the mix.
Hello there!
Let's say I'm developing a web app targeting a specific group of people. I know their goals, their interests and their needs. I want to upsell them relevant services, products and apps, with entire experience natively integrated in my app interface.
So I need reliable mobile ad networks providing JavaScript or some kind of REST API, so I could just request product image, advertising text and referral link, and then mind my own business at displaying them inside the app correctly, without any need to install jar plugins and registering mediators. And then be payed by CPI/CPA.
Any idea what networks are the best in that regard?
(I'm using Intel XDK btw)

can you just put google adsense ads? i've been wondering what is wrong with doing that?
Curious to see what the answer for this as well, have definitely seen this question pop up a few times.
Adxmi use API integration
global ads network Adxmi use API integration.
API integration available
I got API integration as I wanted from Adcash. Guess API is most common choice, at least in my comm. circle
Please take a look at Hyper native ads API for app developers.
Our solution will cover your needs for sure.
