I've searched the Market but I can't find something that can do this.
I'm using 3g Watchdog to track overall data usage, but I want to be able to see how much data each app is using, so I can decide whether to keep it or not.
With o2 introducing it's 500mb limits in October I need to get on top of my current 1gb a month data usage. I know I can pay the extra fiver to get another 500mb on top, but if I can ditch some of my biggest data scoffing apps that'd be preferable.
I guess that's a no then.
If you install spare parts you can track each app split into network usage.
Spare parts is installed but I can't see where to do that.
**Edit. Check that. Must have been an older version that came with the Rom. Thanks for the pointer. Now what the heck is this "Media" that's been draining my data?
Theres an app called "Trafficstats" which will do this for you

be careful I am 90% certain this caused massive battery drain on my phone, my advice would be use it for a few hours then remove.
I'll check it out.
So recently I blew through 400mb of my 1gb data allowance, and I found it was due to the gallery app.
I've searched everywhere for a way to switch Picasa Web Sync (accounts -> google ->picasa web sync) to a wifi only mode.
Seems like a huge oversight on Samsung's part to omit such an option given the trend of lowering data allowances on telcos all over the World.
Am I not looking at the right place?
Not sure if you can..your the first person I've seen that actually wants this feature on lol..
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
Why would a wifi-only feature be bad? The Gallery app blows through mobile data like a hooker.
Never said it would be just dont think its possible unless u turn sync off
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
Google's vanilla offering has a wifi-only option, which is why I was hoping that I was just looking in the wrong place.
For Southeast Asian users,
Which apps do u use on your device?
Pretty much the same as everyone else. But for local apps I use airAsia for mobile check in, maybank2u for paying bills, gsc to buy movie tickets..

What do u think of the Whatsapp application? Worth paying? or to get Wechat instead as a replacement? My Sarawak friend said it takes up too much data off his plan but im not sure (hes on N7000)

I just pay 99cent.. good enough for a year service.... and their support team respond for every question quite fast..
I never paid a cent for whatsapp and it says service expiration: life time.
Previous it says 1 year with a date exactly 1 year from expiration. Now this is what it says.
Btw I don't really like wechat. It's nice and all but it doesn't let u know if your msg is delivered or not.. whether the other party read the msg or not.
But I do love naver line. Love those stickers.

Windows have always been have security issues since its ibm days and ur saying windows is good? Lol windows is the easiest platform to exploit compared to ios and android. Background running apps are easy to detect on android if only u care to find out. If u dont then i guess even using windows u wont care less. I have been using ios and android doing thousands of transactions wih no issues.

Which security issue? The app is just a poor mobile web based which is using internal browser api, but still ssl though. I also have it installed on my smart tv 7 series
The reason android apps auto run because it's binded to events, unlike windows by registries services schedulers or startup folders...
Hey guys, I live in Thailand at the moment with a thai note 2. After being disappointed with the 412 update I switched back to 411. However I can no longer find the 412 update via ota because it says I'm on the latest fw. Have you guys found it in your countries ota? I think Samsung might have pulled it to fix all the errors.

I would disable the apps that you don't use and also check out the themes & apps section for the note edge. There are some nice edge panels in there that are available for download. Also, be sure to download the advanced calling 1.0 if you haven't already. This will allow simultaneous voice and data (LTE).

Why would we need the advanced calling 1.0? I thought if you were on 4G LTE, calling and using data was allowed already... Only if it switches to 3G you lose that option??
Sent from my SM-N915V using XDA Free mobile app
Well..I did need to get it. Took all night for it to finally work, kept saying not available. Now it stays in 4G when I call. Pretty crazy. My old rooted s3 never had thar issue, but I do notice the note has better sugnsl5, stronger in every part of my house.

The Note Edge only has 1 antenna; therefore, advanced calling is required in order to have simultaneous voice and data. Even on LTE.
Yeah it finally worked for me all is well.

My mobile carrier provides a free 1GB of data for Facebook and Twitter traffic, however I don't really use either.
What would be great is if I could use Pandora or Spotify through this service.
I was wondering how hard it would be to essentially spoof apps to show they are Twitter or Facebook in order to utilise this 1GB.
Any ideas/help is welcome.
PS: Sorry if this is in the wrong place
You may need to steal one if their Servers and host a VPN on it. JK, I don't think this is possible, but good luck !
