Just an FYI - mostly as I hadn't seen anyone else confirm this working (though no reason it shouldn't!).
Installed Xposed Framework (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401), rebooted and downloaded a series of Modules, all of them working without issue.
Was the first order of the day after rooting my Z1 - changing the default DPI of most of my apps using App Settings!
Just tried it now and i was able to install the framework and modules, but they just don't seems to work. When i select modules it says in a yellow box on top "The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot?"
Well, i did install and when i select framework tab it says app_process active:47 bundled:47 and XposedBridge.jar active:42 bundled:42
What i did wrong?

This is a known problem with locked bootloader. Delete your Xposed app and flash this through recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2589113
But i unlocked my boot loader. Flashing stock ftf doesn't lock it, right? I'll try what you said anyway. Thanks
EDIT: Worked. Thank you very much!!
Hope someone can provide some guidance on this one....
I have Galaxy S6 Edge+ G928W8. It's running stock ROM, but rooted with auto-root on this forum. Other root-required apps work, so I know root is good.
I tried installing Xposed by doing:
1) Installed Xposed Installer app from here: http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer
2) Flashed amd64 ZIP from here with TWRP: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960
3) Rebooted and Xposed Installer still says framework is missing. Also Wanam Xposed says framework is missing.
The Xposed Framework instructions say to use CWM recovery but I can't find that for our S6 Edge+. Is that the problem? Now whenever my phone boots, it gives the "Android is starting / Starting Apps..." message before it goes into my lockscreen. I also had an error with Google Play services but reinstalling Google Play services fixed that issue.
Any help is very, very much appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the idea. I tried 75.3 and 75.8, still same issue. I'm now trying to flash the deodexed stock ROM and will see what happens.... might have to flash back to original stock and try again.
Like in topic. I already tried (via teamwin TWRP):
-wipe cache/davik
-factory reset
but none of these works. How to make it work normally again?

You need to flash the Xposed installer to get out of the bootloop. Then, if you still want to run Xposed, I highly recommend the unofficial version by "Wanam"..
He is the download link for the uninstaller.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=37508
"Chance Favors the Prepared"
Here is where you should be getting the Xposed installer from. "Wanam" has made this unofficial version specifically for Samsung devices running LL and MM.

No bootloop after uninstalling Xposed, thanks.
But installing Xposed from link you added fails (photo). What's wrong?

Its saying that it couldn't find the updater script for some reason. And I have no clue why it would be saying that. Works fine for me, but I'm also running a permissive kernel too. That zip should work on either lollipop or Marshmallow.
Did you check the MD5 after the download to make sure the download was good?

My fault, sorry, I have downloaded wrong file. But although I installed correct file, Xposed app doesn't show in my apps, menu, apps manager etc. so I can't even run it.

It sounds like it didn't install. Make sure that you have the Xposed installer apk installed first, then reboot to recovery and flash the "wanam" xposed for marshmallow zip. Then reboot to system. When it boots after the flash you should see the Samsund upgrading apps screen before it boots into system fully.
Then go to app drawer and open the xposed app and under framework it should look like this..
Also, are you running SElinux permissive? Sometimes this is the only way that Xposed will stick. Just a thought.

My bad I didn't installed apk first, now everything works correctly. Thanks for help!
I may not have made it clear from the start and I am sorry for that but you have to install 2 files. Like I said in my last post, install the apk first, then flash the zip in recovery. Those two files are required to get Xposed on your system. All files should be accessible in the links I provided in my first post. Good luck

If you read the thread, Xposed has issues with Samsung Devices like the SM-T280. There is a version that works with Samsung though I can't rememer the link, even then I'm not sure if it will work with the SM-T280 out of the box. You can check Tinker Edition V5 if you want a pre-rooted, pre-xposed ROM and see if it fits your needs.
Hi guys,
recently I installed LOS 14.1 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-4-prime/development/unofficial-lineageos-14-1-t3682512) and it's working almost perfect. I have used xposed together with LOS13 in the past. I did not encounter any problems with xposed on LOS13 but now on 14.1 no modules are being loaded. Obviously the status of xposed installer is ok (xposed framework version 88.1 is active) but no modules (like YouTube Adaway, XInsta or YouTube Background Playback) are working.
If I press on the module "YouTube AdAway" the message "YouTube AdAway v.3.6.1 is NOT active" appears. Of course did I check the box on the right and did a reboot of the phone.
Is there anything to consider to get the things done? I installed Magisk too, but I used the xposed installer from the play store.
Thanks in advance for your replies!
Cheers Andi
It depends on the module dev whether they will add support for Nougat. Like in GravityBox[MM] for Marshmallow, the dev also made a GravityBox[N] for Nougat. I think Youtube Adaway and Background Playback currently doesn't support Nougat, you just have to wait for dev to make support for it.
YouTube AdAway and Background Playback work fine for me as well as AdBlock Reborn and several others.
I was using Xposed on RR 5.8.5, Validus 15.1 and now on AEX 4.6. Some modules are not compatible with nougat but even if it's not compatible you shouldn't be getting message that the module is not active. It just doesn't work but gets activated.
I installed Xposed Framework through TWRP and for Xposed Installer apk I don't think it matters if it's PlayStore or downloaded.
edit: I did have some problems on Validus, can't remember what exactly, but then I used xposed uninstaller via TWRP and installed it again the same way through TWRP and it worked.
okay I did a complete uninstall in TWRP and reinstalled it ... but modules are still not active any other idea? I set su rights for xposed in Magisk ... and I also set the storage permissions for xposed.
Just to provide as many information as possible: my log is empty and I can't download modules directly within the app.
There is new Xposed Framework v88.2 released today and new Installer. Maybe you'll have better luck with this new version?
Anyway Xposed Installer doesn't need SU permissions to work if you flashed Framework through TWRP. Installer only needs SU for installing Framework and updating.
I just updated it through Installer and everything works just fine but usually TWRP installation is recommended.
thanks for the information. I will try 88.2 in a few days (just to be sure not to be an early adoptor )
thanks for your help guys. With 88.2 and Xposed Installer 3.1..4 everything works fine!
So there is a crack over the proximity sensor on my phone so the display always goes black during calls and I cant disconnect the call by pressing on the display. So I'm forced to use power button to end call option on my rom.
The display for some reason also goes black while playing whatsapp audio and many other things for which then I'm forced to restart the phone by holding down the power button. It gets really annoying.
So if there a way to completely disable the proximity sensor?
I've searched for an app but didn't find anything useful.
Btw I have rooted Z00L running 7.1 Aim rom .
If you are using xposed than it will help

Download and install xposed installer 3.1.4 and install framework API 25 v89 zip through TWRP. After successfully installation goto download section in xposed installer u'll find this module
And if you want systemless than you need to install Xposed framework API 25 module from Magisk if you are using magisk manager for root.
This will Help you for systemless Xposed

Ok I flashed Xposed directly from twrp.
The sensor disabler works but I'm getting too many issues after installing xposed. Had to disable xposed. Too bad
