Can I install this on lolipop bootloader ? And what recovery should I use for backup/restore/flash ?

Yes u can flash on lollipop bootloader.U can use any recovery of your choice twrp ya philz

Only for xt1033 dual sim phones

so it is converted 5.1 nexus stock to moto G xt1032? or it is custom?

CF-autoroot supports osprey and merlin

guys I just wanted to note that cf auto root is available for our device. So if you had problems with root before try this cf-autoroot
PS: you still need unlocked bootloader!! (It installs pre-rooted boot image)

Maybe I missed it some how, but I do not see any MOTO G3s listed. Just XT1031-1097.

nevermind, checked the website cfautoroot isnt available fr 6.0.1 on the osprey
i just got a xt1550, it is on 6.0.1, mpi240107-55, after i unlock the bootloader then what steps do i have to take to root and have twrp on my phone?

Successfully Rooted and Installed TWRP on Moto G4 Play

Thanks to Squid2 and this video guide, I have installed twrp and rooted my G4 Play.. Any questions?

Just Go to settings enable developer options, Enable usb debugging , enable oem unlock <<<< remember to enable all these before going to unlock bootloader!
Just go to motorola bootloader site and follow the instructions!

Do you know what model your friend has? (xt1607- unlocked version or xt1609- Verizon model) If he has the xt1607 unlocked version then he may be doing something wrong in the process. If he has the xt1609 Verizon model then this method will not work on it because at the moment it is not rootable or bootloader unlockable.

Hai.!
My friend's model id and mine is same i.e. XT1602 (24.161.42.harpia.retail.en.US)
he could not root it successfully and his device has gone into bootloop.
Any advice would be appreciated!

Flash stock firmware again and then root using phh's superuser https://superuser.phh.me

I have had already rooted my device by flashing twrp recovery and then installing super su. Device booted fine.

Please help need boot loader unlocked and root. I have asus_z00td running 5.0.2, dual SIM card version octacore providers, 3 gb ram, 32 gb storage etc also I'm watching a screen shot trying to give all the info possible for the best results for help. Ty

Ok used app from asus to unlock bootloader, used kingo app for root then flashed twrp. The issue im having now is i cant flash any roms i get updater error 7 every time. Man this phone is getting to the point of ticking me off. Help please

how ive tride to update stock rom few times always cancels .

Ok this is the biuld number im on. Now when i was stock i tried updating my firmware but it wouldnt let me. I tried 3 dif ones to find out no luck after putting them to the root of my sdcard if someone would please help me post me direct link to the firmwar you think will work. My phone info is in my first post. Also is there away i can just update it through twrp???

Solved just had to update firmware and one of these ROMs gives us a flashable zip. Ty to him

Hello. I want to root my P8 lite, but I've read about some tutorials/files being for chinese version of Marshmallow and other for Kirin chipset, and as a newbie, I'm quite lost in it and I don't know which files / tutorial I have to use. I really don't want to brick my phone.
So can someone upload or post link to files or whole unlocking bootloader->flashing TWRP->root tutorial that will work on 6.0 B574 version?

Bootloader unlocked! However, TWRP you linked me to seems to be for Kirin chipset only. How can I see if I have Kirin or different chipset?
