I have a Marvell ARMADA PXA1908 powered Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G and generally the phone performs well. It hangs once in awhile, I guess the Marvell processor is not as good as the Snapdragon used in the previous and other country versions of Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime & 4G. Well that is not an issue for me. You get what you pay for. I can live with few hangs here and there. I am not in a hurry
However the one thing that annoys me to the core is that Samsung ships these devices without a native music player. Seriously? I strongly believe that basic apps like camera, calendar, gallery, video, music, clock should be part of every phone and it should be system apps. They have covered everything here except music player? I seriously don't understand why especially when they have a very good music player in their in their stable. Why put Google Music as system app? It should be Samung native music player as system app and Google Music should be the one I can install from store if I need it.
I have tried in vain to spot the samsung native music player in the forums so that I can replace Google Music. There are a few forums that has Amdroid 5.1.1 compatible samsung music player but none of them work for Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G (SM-G531F). All of them are meant to work in SM-G530 series.
Anyone have the default music player which can work on my model? Samsung can't do this. Freaking so annoying. I buy a phone paying a INR8250 and hunt for a music player?
Please don't suggest other music players in the store. I have Poweramp, BlackPlayer, etc in many of my devices. Specifically I am on the lookout for native player in this case. Thanks in advance.
Solved
Can moderators delete this post? I got the Samung Music Player.

Hi, I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S5, and it came with the Samsung Music Player. A friend of mine just got a Galaxy Core 2, and he told me that the GC2 didn't come with a Samsung Music Player, just Google Music. Since it's a brand new phone from its mobile carrier, no one could have deleted the app, indeed the phone is obviously unrooted. I've searched over the Internet and it seems that the Galaxy Core 2 doesn't have a Samsung Music player.
How is this possible? Shouldn't it has the same apps as my S5 (or at least the basic apps, such as music player)?
Even the Core 2 is newer than my S5, I don't understand. Can I send to him my Samsung player?
Also, the Galaxy Core 2 Samsung Skin is quite different. In its home screen, there are only 3 space icons available in the lower bar, next to the menu icon. In my Galaxy S5 and in every single device I've seen, there are 4 spaces to put up to 4 icons, not counting the menu icon. What's going on?
I don't know how to help him, if you guys could help me out, I'd thank you.
I bought a Galaxy A3 and I've noticed that I don't have the Samsung Stock Music player. I upgraded on Lollipop still doesnt have it. I only have the google music player. Why is that?
Samsung wanted to reduce bloatware so now you have only one music player preinstalled instead of two
Samsung removed many apps from A3 because they thinks that this model no need this apps, also you can go to store, get a5/a7 and see how many apps are removed.
I Have Samsung Galaxy S6 ... I Love Samsung Music Player ... I Know Samsung Music Will Not Work In Stock Android .. Any Other Music Player Like Samsung Or Other Company Phone Music Player Will Support ( LG,HTC Like That )
Samsung Music Player could maybe work on stock android, have you tried using "App Backup Restore Transfer" by Apex Apps? My favorites are the old Sony Ericsson Walkman app and Phonograph.
Not Working .. I Tried ... Anyone Know Best App
Hey!
Is there any way to fix the flacs skipping and not playing on the Samsung music app? I could download another player from the play store but I wanna use the Samsung music app. I also have a Samsung galaxy a5 and it has the same problem. For my Xperia phone, it works fine!
Thanks!
Good Morning,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S10+ which has a snapdragon processor. I would like to know how would I be able to convert into an mp3 player, along the lines of the Galaxy Player 5.0. Would there be a way to disable the phone feature?

Interesting idea ... removing SIM card is not enough?
What exactly do you want to disable or remove?
If it's about system apps, you will need to root your device.
