I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and someone else I know has a Samsung Galaxy S7. Neither of us can find anything to do with the Samsung reactivation lock or find my mobile.
Has this been removed because of Google's own services?
I do NOT remember signing up for Google's system yet when I go to their website I can locate my phone and make it ring!
Can someone outline to me some of the advantages and if they exist some of the disadvantages to the Google system over the Samsung system.

I bought a Gear Fit from unlocked-mobiles.com
In general I like it. Is comfortable to wear, and more practical than my original Galaxy Gear.
On the Samsung website it says it is compatible with Note 3.
When I go to the website to download the manager software it says it is not compatible with my device and will not let me download anything.
I have downloaded the manager from the S5 threads, and S5 S-Health app.
The pedometer does not sync with the S-Health software. Any ideas?
I am sure when it is officially launched all will come available.

Release date is April 11. Software might be updated by then.

Samsung Press Release says: All 2nd generation Gear accessories must be used with the Galaxy S5 or later devices. Please upgrade your obsolete Note 3. And by the way, none of the data from the Note 3 with migrate either, usability doesn't help our bottom lines.
Don't worry, klau1 talking rubbish, compatible with at least 15 phones. Working on my Note 2 perfectly even with the old leaked version.

I was joking about this specifically based on what they did with S-Health and S-Note
People who upgraded either of those could not migrate their data across. There are threads littered on XDA here full of complaints about this.
I have one and am using with my Note 3. To get it to sync you need to uninstal S Health as that seems to be used with the S5. Then download and install Fitness with Gear from the Samsung Apps. Then it should sync for you.
I've installed the above Gear Manager, used that to install S Health, also installed Gear for Fit or whatever it is called.
I connect my Gear Fit with Gear Manager, open S Health and go to 'My accessories', it searches but can't find the Gear Fit... that Gear Manager is already connected to?
If in S Health I go to 'Compatible accessories' and select Gear Fit, it wants to disconnect my Gear Fit to open Gear Manager?
Where am I going wrong?

Can anybody point me in the right direction. My wife's note 3 does not have Galaxy essentials installed. It's the verizon sm-n900v model. I need it to update sns provider. It's for Facebook one tap login. If anyone can gimme an apk or somehow add the widget that would be highly appreciated. I contacted samsung support and they couldn't do anything. They said galaxy essentials is only for Samsung s5 and newer devices. I cannot update sns provider without the essentials widget. Thanks in advance.
Fixed it. I ripped the apk from my t mobile note 4 using apk extractor From the play store and installed it on her note 3. Worked like a charm. Yet one tap fb still does not work. O well.

i'd like to know of a way to enable google now on my edge plus,
even though i get the message "this account is not eligible for google now"(on the edge+) i had these features working well on my samsung tablet and my earlier phone(Note3)
both (Note 3 and Tab S1) weren't rooted, just flashed to lollipop
i still have the Tab S1 on that google now cards still appear....but not on the edge plus....any workarounds to make it work,
anybody else having the same issue ,
short story -
same account but two different results at the same time( no Google now for edge plus , but working well on my tablet)
i checked out lot of tutes on the internet, but it won't cover the problem i'm facing :crying:

Couldn't find any information regarding whether or not the Bell Mobile TV App is working with the S7 Edge, or regular S7, so I decided to create a post to see how widespread this issue is, and whether or not there's a fix available. (And to light a fire under Bell's App developers butts.)
The Issue Is As Follows:
When trying to play live video through the Bell Mobile TV App on a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge, you'll be presented with the following screen asking you to "disable mock locations in your device settings" with an error code of 3710. This seems to have occurred since around September as multiple reviews on the Google play store all claim the same error with people using the S7 or S7 Edge phones.

The Problem:
There is no toggle switch (ON/OFF) for mock locations on the S7 or S7 Edge running Marshmallow, not even in Developer Options. There is an option called Mock Location App, which allows you to select an app to use for mock locations, but nothing that explicitly turns off said option.
To test this problem, I went into Developer Options, and assigned the Mock Location app as the Contacts applications. I then close and Force Stopped the Bell Mobile TV App. Upon re-opening it I received the same "disable mock locations" error - This is good in this instance, since I actually have a Mock Location app assigned in Developer options.
The Bell Mobile TV App appears to not acknowledge the Mock Location App setting being set to "none" and is most likely expecting the "Allow Mock Location" toggle (ON/OFF) switch that the S7 and S7 Edge do not seem to have when running Android Marshmallow.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue, and if so, have you reported it to Bell yet?
I have emailed the developer email on file in the Google Play Store ([email protected]) and escalated the issue from within the MyBell account page. Currently I am waiting to hear back on the status of the issue.

Has anyone else noticed this app it has been in every samsung s7 firmware for all carriers it's a system app ,it can be disabled using third party app or deleted ,its silent logging
It's in my galaxy note 4 as well. Along with a few other supicious system packages that can't be removed. As far as I can tell it is a data logger. Other packages appear to be backdoor access. My galaxy s4 had no such packages.
