For those who got the adoptable storage to work:
Please help find a work around or fix for this issue. If you ask your friend to take a photo for you and they hold the shutter for too long the camera app crashes. Please help either disabling burst or finding a way to make burst shot work with adoptable storage.
Up! I have observed the same issue. It's quite annoying. Digital cameras have been able to shoot burst mode on SD card and somehow top tier S7 Edge can't make it happen

Hi , does anyone know how to improve the speed for taking photo on Blackstone? I am not sure that is caused by camera setting or Blackstone is bad performance to take photo. Once I press the button to take photo, it needs to take few seconds to shoot. Hope anyone know how to improve it. Thanks!
I haven't tried it but it seems (to me) to be focusing when the delay occurs. Switching to manual focus should make it quicker.
I think Kanburra is right. For me, photo taking has been immediate with no delay whatsoever. Perhaps it is because the conditions in which I took those photos allows auto focus to work very well and quickly. Perhaps the auto focus may have problem in certain situation which could be better handled with manual focus.
manual focus? what's he methode?
ok so i like photography and iv had many samsung phones s2,s3,note2,s4,note3 never really had a problem with the camera i decided to take the plunge and get the iphone5s used it for 8 weeks and thought shove your restrictions up your bottom so got the galaxy s5
i started using the camera on the s5 and noticed the pictures were slightly smoothed i made sure the mode was on auto but it always seems to give that smooth blurry edge to the images especialy portraits so im guessing the auto mode is still choosing to add blur from the beauty mode.. i dont want any of samsungs effects i just want the straight image but there seems to be no option to switch the modes off.. my wife has the iphone 5c so i compared the pictures and the iphone phone camera kills the galaxy s5 for sharpness and realistic colours. which im kinda disapointed by. also the samsungs s5 front camera distorts your face and body pretty bad as well as producing very noisy images indoors..
my point... is there a way to switch of the modes on the s5 camera... is there a fix for the front camera distortion(who wants a wide angle lens on a front facing camera anyway) video calls suck and so do selfies.
You can try like so - switch on the camera, choose the front facing one - tap on mode button - scroll down to "manage modes".
There you can either switch on or off all the modes you like - if you untick all then you should have this mode disabled for the pictures.
Check if it works in the long run. Good luck
Cheers!
Hello, I was wondering if someone could test their S8 to see if they also have a issue with focusing on something (say a coin spinning ) close up while in slow motion video mode. Flash on etc.
Compared to my S7 Edge, something is not correct, the minimum distance went from 5-6 inches to at least 8-10 inches now. The same thing I did with the S7, I cannot do with the S8.
Isn't the camera the same?
The S8 can't seem to focus until i move the camera at least 2x further away than the S7 Edge.
Waiting on the factory reset as, this is only a problem when it's in slow motion mode.
Thanks all
Minimum focus under slow motion mode is further away than in normal mode on mine: probably 3 inches in normal and about 5 in slow motion. Not sure why? there might be small miss alignment of focus mechanism between individual cams (yours and mine or your S7), but I'm not sure why slow motion mode affects it.
Sorry to revive old thread, but I have the same issue
Tried to do slow-mo of my mechanical watch and it just could not focus on that distance.
I even tried to fool it by going into pro mode and lock focus on closest macro and then switch to super slow mo and at first it looked like it will work, only it started slowly focusing more into distance. Was able to hit record while it was still moving but it is not the best solution
Same is happening in regular slow mo...it's weird
Hey guys, just wanna quick answer here, can you put manual mode with front camera? Either video or photo.
My v20 seems can't do it with front camera. Everytime I switch to front camera from manual mode, it automatically goes to auto mode front camera.
I can't remember exactly how it works when I first purchase it, is it normal behavior or not. Thank you.
For some stupid reasons I guess, I messed my phone once (replaced some files, ruined the phone basically) but some weird reasons I had manual control over the front camera... only on the front camera (ruined the phone again). So it's possible, but as usual because people at LG (and to be fair at all other manufacturers) are so stupid/lazy but probably don't care about their customers.
I wonder if anyone could enable camera 2 api on elephone s8. I tried everything without success. If there was a way to control shutter speed, the phone's camera could give some of the best pictures since they are the most detailed I've seen on 20 Mp cameras. Any ideas?
