I am just curious as to how I hook up my new galaxy nexus that I bought used. The ESN is clean by the way. Do I call to verizon ? Thenphone shipped with the charger the battery but not the box. Thank you

No lol never need or use the box for anything.I used to work at uscellular store it can be easier sometimes to get the ESN off the box but some people use a different box so never really use the ESN from a Box. Post here when ya get it activated

Call Verizon from a different phone??
There should be a USSD code (using the dialer pad) to bring up your IMEI...

CDMA phones dont have USSD codes. The ESN will be in the back of the phone or under status under settings.
Just go to a Verizon store they will help ya out

I was, but given the resent news of a Nexus 5 with Sprint LTE support I'm holding off until it gets announced. If it won't come out to Sprint the Moto X will be my next.

I will be getting one soon in white when its available for SWAC purchase. Having an available upgrade is nearly killing me but I doubt I will have to wait much longer. I'm not sure what you guys are reading about another Nexus on Sprint but I wouldn't hold my breath.
I'm still thinking about it. I'll probably time it so that I'm eligible to trade it in for a Note 3 within the 14-day grace period just in case I don't like it.

I should get one soon hopefully. My broken screen EVO 3D finally gave up the other day, no phone ATM:crying:. Stopped by one of the local Sprint stores, they didn't have any in stock and would let me know when they'll be getting them in the store. Right now it seems they're only available online, not sure for how long though. Need to get my account balance payed down before i can upgrade though...:laugh:
Just some quick thoughts since i just got mine, all bloatware except sprint zone seems removable. Also unless it times out on me it looks like Google wallet may work. It came preloaded anyway

Would you mind grabbing a system dump for me please? Connect phone to computer with usb debugging enabled and run the following command (open a command prompt in the directory where you have adb, tell me if you don't have it and I'll link you to a quick download for it)

adb pull /system system
Then wait for that to complete and zip up + upload the folder it makes and drop a link for me...

Were you able to get wallet up and going? If you did then the rest of us may be able to bring it over the vzw and att. If we are able to change lines in our build prop to make it think its a sprint then install and set up wallet then revert back like we did with the s3. Might be some hope as long as the secure element is hidden somewhere.

please confirm tap to pay works..... wallet works for every carrier, except tap to pay which is ONLY sprint...
i can get it worrking and make a fix for everyone, just need a sprint system dump first!

it used to work on the S4 when i had it, all you had to do was change your build prop to the Sprint's S4 or nexus 4

Talk about debbie downer, it would be great if it would work, i am coming from the gnex, and use google wallet quite often. CM10.1 would be great too but that is for a different section
The Sprint version of the G2 has been uploaded so hopefully someone can obtain Google Wallet access for other G2 variants.

I used tap to pay on my Att s4 last week. There's an up to date zip you just load from recovery and it works fine.
It's not a build.prop change. It's taking binaries on the sprint version and porting it over.
Any updates to this?, would love some tap and pay action on this G2

As much as you think it'd be good to donate--Jcase said in his Twitter he doesn't plan on publishing anything new for the MotoX. Kinda bummed out. I can't not have root.

My phone is finally getting delivered today...almost a week after i placed my order. I hope it doesnt come with 4.4 already loaded on it as it shipped last night. Want to root.

Well whatever the case is, @jcase along with any and all developers we should ALL contribute to the development (developers) of Android. If the man has figured out how to root kitkat and chooses to not release it without getting a bounty out of it, then that's up to him. None of us have any room to get upset about it. Yes, it works great on the cricket network.
Simple and cheap solution
Bought an Overture 2 for $20 and as many report both USB and WiFi tethering is blocked. Tried PDAnet but no luck. Rooted with Kingoroot and rechecked PDAnet and USB tethering is working fine.
