Testers needed! Moto G 2014 Multi-tool Testers needed!
Hello my friends, my name is mrtaylor and I am reasonably new to the forums and pretty much a newbie when it comes to things like this too.
bare with me, probably scaring you all off by saying that but I have an announcement!
I've spent the last few hours tinkering away and have come up with four useful tools to help people that are not to familiar with android and need a hand when it comes to modding, rooting, etc.
the tools I have created are not "new" by any means but i have put them all together In an easy manageable folder with everything needed to execute them.
Tools Included
Root
Installing Custom Recovery
Removing Unlocked Bootloader Warning
Restore Without Data Wipe
These are just a couple to get started and before I continue with the development of these and decide to turn it into a fully fledged executable tool with nice pretty colors and ponies i need a few people to TEST them.
So, anyone interested then please reply to this thread and I will PM you the dl link, i would really appreciated the help and feedback.
these tools are based on the xt1068 build but I'm sure they will work for all models.

I give you A++++ points immediately for having made a legible, well formatted and easy to follow post - a rarity on XDA, with it's pigeon English and slap-dash 57 typeface varieties all in one paragraph, coupled with animated gif madness. I did the steps, but in the end remained kitkat. something not clear to me

I'm afraid it wouldn't be very clear seeing as this tool doesn't include updating to lollipop ^_^

Well after spending a lot of time on this phone I managed to get full root access
Instructions :
Download Kingo (Search good due I can't post any link.)
Install and run kingo.
Now just connect your phone in debugging mode at your pc.(How to find debug more? Look the pictures below!)
Press "ROOT" on the Kingo program and let it until it says "Root was successfully"
After that just see a small tune you can do to your mediatek processor!
You're done,now your have full root access!! Have fun!!
(AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BREAK DOWN YOUR PHONE!MAKE IT WITH YOUR OWN RISK!!)

you really need no video for it

Thank you! I did it, and works! Now it writes programs to the sd card! Its fantastic! Now we are waiting for a new rom! :angel:
Don't worry! I suggest a light 4.4.4 neither the Lolipop 5.X.X because it has a lot of bugs!!
New ROM
I created a poll for the Xperia E4 users or now called "admins" choose what ROM they want!
I am trying on the 4.4.4 right now, for a light version of it!! Any help would be grateful!! :highfive:

HI guys, I was looking at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085390 about rooting the S5360 (I have a s5369) but when I try to flash the update included in the thread I get an error, screenshot attached (the error says E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip (status 7) Installation aborted)
Any idea?
Try this one instead, otherwise I will edit the updater-script of your package to make it compatible with your model. I think that you will able to install GT-S5360 ROMs on it, but can you give me technical details about your phone ?

Thanks mate, unfortunately even that link doesn't work, the page times out (tried yesterday and today with same result in different browsers). As for more details, I downloaded CPU-z and took some screenshots, attached, hopefully that will help you, let me know if you need more:
You will able to install normally GT-S5360 roms, they have the same specs. I joined the root access enable ZIP package. If I helped you, don't hesitate to use the little button below or if you need something else tell me !

Oops sorry ! Here's the fixed one.
Brilliant, thanks. The installation of the new file was successful, no errors and now I have superuser, so presumably the phone is now rooted.
Thanks for your help. In terms of android version, do you know where I can find a list of stable versions I can install? I checked cyanogen mod but I couldn't find my model

Yes, you're now rooted ! Check the GT-S5360 development subforum and you will find a lot of ROMs, but for CyanogenMod, every ported version (7,9,11) has its specific bugs and you will need to choose the one which suits you. If you need any help, just mention me on your post ! Regards.

Great work :good: thanks for the effort but i seems like i missed a step in opening this app , i've downloaded the app ran MAF32.exe and it only opens a cmd window with no options. where am i going wrong ? [yes ive installed moto drivers]

Sorry for not explaining myself in the main post. You need python 3.5 installed for the program to work, once python is installed, double click toolkit.py
I will post some screenshots now

In the tool, there are 2 "Root your Device (MM)" options. Shoudn't there be only 1 and the other say "Root your Device (LP)"?

Sorry , that was a typo ! P.S the bottom one is the LP root and the top one is MM root , I will correct and upload when my PC is working again

Is your phone screen unlocked and do you have usb debugging turned on?
Also , did you install the driver for your phone ?(included in the moto package as driver.exe)?

No it wont mate , sorry. You will never be able to restore the warranty because motorola keeps track of all phones which have requested a bootloader unlock code from their website

when reistalled stock mm, it comes whit stock recovery yes ?
