i want to change the 1st 1 in to the 2nd 1.... notification little bit down... clock in the middle.. plz help
You must using apktool bro...thats just example..before my clock in the left and i relayout to center

i know its very simple to make icons transperent...but i just made default windows 6.5 icons transprent for my rom...so thought if anyone would want(ready to cook icons in their roms)....
so i m just posting it here and sharing with u....

what do u mean u hav put 6 lockscreens in systemUI.apk .... Make a brief note of what u've done.... Also assuming u as a starter lookin at the junior member tag ... U hav to make a lot of changes to port lockscreens .... Files tat hav to be edited are framework-res.apk framework.jar services.jar settings.apk systemui.apk ... I would suggest u to learn development before u could start tampering with the system files else your phone would be doomed

Its not only systemui,
You need to modify framework-res and jar,
You also need to modify settings.apk and add the string to change the lockscreen
Also,
Im a potatoe...

you need to change all the png files you want, but for 9 patch png's (.9.png) you'll need to decompile the apk

but i just want a simple statusbar pull down notification
how can i replace the systemUI without messing the theme sir?
please help..

but still i havent figure it out.

Here is your statusbar....try it..---

Download and open root explorer,and move this to /system/app folder.Replace it.Change the permission of SystemUI.apk by holding on it ,as screenshoot ,tick them boxes just and reboot your phone.

it worked sir
thank you so much for your effort sir,
but it is still the same jb statusbar.
what i meant is that
i want the simple gingerbread
pull down statusbar.
which starts with a header(digital clock & date)
a single line toggle buttons,
and so on with the notifucations.
please help sir

i tried several methods that i have read in this forum. I also tried to change the png into a blank and in my statusbar it displays a gap between icons
By the way im on SGY duos.

I also asked same question few months back...but got no response from any1
i succesfully removed only the Carier name..but cudnt remove the icons ..
in Xdv 3 V2.0 status bar has no carrier name.....

If you want that your icons should not be visible.Its much better to crop that pngs and make them transparent.Instead of wasting your time in smali editing.

hey bro...i also want to edit that...if i make my icon transparent then..there will b empty space ....tht wil look odd..if u know then please give the guide..i wil giv u the systemUI n i wil test it if u need tester

I think he means resize the icon width so its so narrow you wont even notice there should be an icon there

go to SystemUI.apk\res\layout\signal_cluster_view.xml
Find this :
