[Help] Samsung S5 G900A - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just bought a S5 from Swappa and it has TMS5 2.0 on it but I would like to remove it. Factory or CM13 would be great. This one seems to have a baked in theme and it's quite bad. Downloaded CM13 and GAPPS but every time I go to install the ROM I get an error:
E: Failed to verify whole-file signature
E: Signature verification failed.
Then it reboots.
It has been quite awhile since I've messed with any ROM's or rooting I've Googled and watched several YouTubes but can not figure it out.... Thanks for any help!
Other info:
Kernel: 3.4.0-4432708
KNOX 2.3
Android Version: 5.0
Recovery: LRX21T (?)

Well, I tried to mess around with it a bit more and...
I seem to have softbricked it. I used Odin and installed Android 5.1.1 Lollipop G900AUCU4COI5 firmware on it. Well, Odin went through as normal and the S5 rebooted but it gets stuck on the Samsung logo, then reboots and has a pulsing blue notification light. Softbricked? What am I doing wrong? :dead:
Thanks for any help!

[Q] Galaxy s4 Soft Bricked? [Fixed]

I was trying to flash the KitKat NC5 to my galaxy s4 and i messed up. Heres the short version of why i goofed. I did everything right until i came to flash the ROM, i accidentally wiped my custom ROM and installed kitkat to that and went to odin and it all succeed and began to boot. thats when i noticed i was on safeside and i was like oh sh*t i flashed it to the wrong spot. So i went in and deleted my custom rom (which had kit kat on it) and began to wipe my stock rom. Thats when i get the error
"E: unable to mount '/system'"
and
"E: Unable to mount '/systemorig'"
I was going to boot into download mode but when i went to, it said "No OS Installed! Are you sure you wish to reboot?"
And thats the moment i sh*t my organs out. I need a fix. I have no OS right now.
I need to know where to start. I havent left safestrap and dont plan on it until someone tells me what to do. WHAT DO I DO!?!??!

Failed To Verify Whole-File Signature Error (Stock ROM)

My phone recently soft bricked. TouchWiz became unresponsive and then I restarted my phone using the power button.
My phone then proceeds into a bootloop, which I presume is a soft bricked based from reading around.
What I did was downloaded Odin 3.09 then downloaded my stock ROM from sam mobile. After the copying files it went to recovery boot, and then gave me that error when updating.
I also tried flashing stock ROMs that were dated before the month I purchased my phone. No luck
I tried flashing CM 11. CF auto root, and then CWM, CM 11 then GAPPS, when I rebooted it went directly to Download Mode and it said "Could not do normal boot" at the top.
Need help on this please. I don't have any alternate phones. :/
Much appreciated.

Unable to root.

So basically my phone does not work with odin anymore. I had my phone rooted both on KitKat and on the first build lollipop for the 910f. But it all changed when I upgraded to the newest build BOC3. I used CF-Auto Root. It gave me a fail with error "(Complete) Write operation failed.".
So I though it must not work with the latest lollipop, I flashed back the older version and tried it again which came to the same result. I tried older version of the file and also tried flashing TWRP and CWM recovery all failing with the same error. I tried changing cables and USB ports, no difference. Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: After hours of searching it turns out the problem was that I had the reactivation lock on which prevented me from flashing anything but official samsung firmware. God damn so much trouble from such a small setting.

Phone stuck on AT&T logo after trying to FlashFire Xposed firmware (SM-935A)

Hey guys. Yesterday, I rooted my S7 Edge (successfully, using the method on galaxys7root.com), got SuperSU flashed and everything was fine. Then, realizing that I couldn't use a custom recovery due to there not being one for the Edge variant I have, I tried to use FlashFire by Chainfire to get Xposed on the phone. It ran and restarted, but got stuck on the at&t screen. After leaving it for an hour. I went into the recovery, and found this message:
dm-verity verification failed...
After looking around online, I tried to factory reset the phone, wipe cache partition, and use ODIN to put the stock firmware on. When ODIN replied to my attempt to put the stock firmware on with a failure (complete(Write) operation failed.) going back into the recovery revealed a new error:
E: ensure_path_unmounted failed to unmount /efs (Device or resource busy)
At this point, I'm in way over my head, and if anyone could help me out to get my phone working at all, rooted or not, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Active sm-g870a Help

Hello!
I apologize if this isn't the right place to ask, but I haven't found a section for a Samsung Galaxy S5 Active!
I am a complete newbie and haven't flashed to my phone since I had a Samsung Galaxy S3 back in 2018. In this case, I'm trying to find a root and install twrp recovery, so I can install lineageOS on my phone. The stock rom is so laggy!
My phone's recovery won't let me just install lineageOS, so I have to install a custom recovery.
So far, all the one-click roots haven't worked. Towelroot, kingsroot, oneclickroot, all failed.
The official twrp recovery didn't work either and did not give me a compatible rom.
I tried to locate an unofficial twrp recovery compatible with my device, and I think I found one. The issue is that it odin does not flash a .img file.
I'm going to try this method of downgrading the stock rom.
EDIT: Doing this gives me a SW REV CHECK FAIL: [aboot] Fused 2 > Binary 1
Trying this now: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-g870a-downgrade-s5-active-mm6-0-lp5-0.3523683/
EDIT: unsuccessful. Soft brick of OS; need to flash again or try something else...I tried to leave the phone out all night, but it never got past boot screen.
EDIT2: tired again and somewhat successful. Samsung boot screen is different and so is the boot recovery! The darn phone still won't boot though!!
EDIT3: Had to reboot the phone 3 times and got the android is upgrading screen...YAY!! But, the system process.media fails randomly.
Any tips? If I could just get twrp on, that would fix everything! Thank you!!
Found a supposedly compatible twrp here: https://dl.twrp.me/klte/twrp-3.5.2_9-0-klte.img.tar.html
Issue is odin fails when flashing...I am getting the auth error!!
One of the few usable recoveries: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...estrap-recovery-v3-75-2014-06-26-b03.2794087/
Hi, I am also looking to put LineageOS on my device as well.
The most I have found so far is the S5 Active (SM-G870A) has an OEM locked bootloader, and without unlocking it a custom recovery is not available.
AT&T, nor Samsung have provided any way to unlock the bootloader as far as I know, and I'm not sure if any developers are still working to crack it.
