I got so tired of all the recents roms suffers of a low brightness screen even on max settings compared to the Lollipop
So i made a Fix for Alexis Rom
and it should work on every DPDP based Marshmallow roms flash the right package
It increases about 80% of the brightness
Now Includes All in one Package, and a new FlashLight Menu only on Alexis Rom
*UPDATE* Now One Package, Both Models, no need separated zip for Edge and Flat
*Script Updated, Some ocaccions the auto brightness bug on DPDP firmwares disable the values on the script
so i add a new line to deny the changes. setting autobright_level to 6

For Alexis Rom
Brightness Fix Alexis
For Others DPDP based Roms (Power Menu will go back to stock!, because every room has a diferent framework-res)
Brightness Fix DPDP Based Roms
Instructions
Make a backup of Framework-res.apk and Services.jar just for if anything goes wrong
1- Flash the zip
2- Be sure that your kernel supports init.d folder like HackerKernel, (Arter97 and others that not, just flash it Init.d Enabler, thanks to @edzamber)[Reported to Broke the Wifi]
- Workaround , Just Download any Init.d Enabler app on play store and Load the Script like e.g Universal Init.d
3 - set permitions 755 (rwxr-xr-x) to the 01Brightness on the init.d folder ( system/etc/init.d/)
- With a File Explorer e.g Solid Expl, go to system/etc/init.d/ , Select 01Brightness File by Holding it on, Go to Properties (3 Dots menu) and Select Properties > Atributties and check -RWXR-XR-X it now will show as 755, hit APPLY!
4 - Reboot
BUGS
None.
Thanks to @AlexisXDA and @Jhfreeze for the hint to fix Edge
Hit thanks if you like!
Flashed both packages and now wi-fi doesn't work. Can you post uninstall for both packages or fix to wifi problems please.

But there's only one package!
Did you flashed it in what rom? its DPDP based? because there's nothing related to wifi drivers or settings
just restore your backup, or in case you didnt make a backup, flash the rom again!
can you make a video tutorial? it will be much easier for all of us
Thank you for your work.
This is the most needed thing on my s6
Seems to work good for me . Arter kernel, flashed the extra to add init.d support

some rooms out there the maximum brightness is 115 or 157 , the services.jar povided restores it to 255, but it still not brighter as stock
so the script on the init.d folder will disable the Dim! and make it even brighter
Just make sure you set the right permitions on the 01brightness file ( 755 - rwxr-xr-x) and did a hard reboot
and if your kernel supports init.d scripts, and you'll se the difference
755 is rwx-rx-rx no ?
Installed , As if it works????

My bad guys its rwxr-xr-x
Is it dangerous for screen? I mean, you say it increases of 80%. It is very much..
edit: @LuanTeles
i have rom and kernel in my signature and also to me wifi doesn't work.
i had done a backup so no problem, but i'm the second user with this problem, so there has to be something that breaks it. the problem, however, has occured after flashing the zip for enabling init.d

Good:-
No bugs yet.
In call volume is working.
Camera and camcoder working
Fast and smooth(just a little jerky when opening app drawer)
No restarts or force closes.
Battery seems to work good(havnt tested properly) but it seems to have a good life.
Not so good :-
No transparent status bar of kitkat.
Cannot control the vibration while typing on keyboard.
Apollo sucks (well for me)
No ringtones of kitkat.
File manager cannot read my sd card. (Root browser is all the way)

@diego-ch @frapeti should see this. no credits to the original devs! did u even ask for their permission?
Do you love the stripped down or stock based roms but miss the theming ability of CM? Yea, there is the xTheme Engine, but with limited options (they have to be converted or built for xTheme) and so-so support for 4.4 at the moment, this isn't necessarily the best option. Enter: Cydia Substrate and Winterboard. If you are know about iOS and jailbreaking, likely these sound familiar. Install Substrate : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.saurik.substrate then open, link files, then reboot. Then install Winterboard and your favorite CM10 theme(s), select in Winterboard : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.saurik.winterboard and reboot the SystemUI or reboot and enjoy! IF you are having issues getting Cydia Substrate to link, then make sure you open /system in a root file manager and grant it R/W access and try again. I also had luck with getting it to work after installing Xposed (they do work kind of similarly - and for some roms, I had to set R/W as well). Now, this allows you to run any CM10/11 theme, though CM10.x themes will not touch the battery icon, unfortunately. I got this to work on roms like Cataclysm and Mahdi and suspect it should work on about any rom as long as you have working root, /system as R/W and the linked files sticks. If you need more detail, lemme know and I'll see if I can point you in the right direction.
This sounds awesome!
I'm setting it up as we speak, will test with HoloGlass Theme, and report back in a few minutes

The one theme i want to use on my phone (HoloGlass) doesn't work with this method, probably because it isn't updated for KitKat. Didn't test with another theme. Will remember this for when HoloGlass goes KitKat

Hmm. You're just on the stock rom? Did you get an error of some sort? Hardly any of the themes have been updated to Kit Kat. This works with CM 10 themes.
I'm on cataclysm and keep getting the same error where it says IRS installed but not activated please reboot then after the reboot it says the same thing and I can't view the gallery
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
I believe that is because it has a difficult time creating the app_process type file. Did you try and make sure the /system is mounted read/write with a file explorer with root access like Root Explorer or Es File Explorer? Try that and install the Xposed beta framework too. If that doesn't work, I'll flash it and see what's up. I'm on DroidKang right now and it won't work, but it has the Theme Chooser already so doesn't matter.
Please do a step by step guide to use these apps

Awesome working great on cataclysm.
Hey!
I tested it and it won't change anything for me....
First I couldn't link it, but after installing xposed etc, this worked.
I also see and can select the theme(s) in winterboard.
But nothing happens...
Any advice?
PS: I'm also on Cataclysm Rom.
CHEERS!
UPDATE:
It seems like it was theme related. I tested another and this changed some things (even not all).
I didn't check all posts here before as I tried exactly the same as mentioned in second post
I'll test a bit more now and maybe I'll find a good one.
Thanks! :thumbup:

Hello!
Today i want to share with you guys a way to control your screen color for stock kernel
THIS IS NOT MY WORK! ALL CREDITS GOES TO savoca I JUST SHARE THIS FOR OUR LG G3!
Most important thing you must have your phone rooted!
Here are the steps:
- download kppd file, unzip, then with a root explorer cut and paste the kppd file in system/bin with permission 755
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
- download postproc.conf, unzip, then with a root explorer cut and paste the postproc.conf file in system/etc with permission 644
- install from playstore ROM Toolbox Lite, open the app and go to Scripter and create new script file
- after you create the file you have to set at boot
This is all.
For edit colors, saturation and contrast you can edit the values in postproc.conf, save and reboot.:good:
UPDATE - If you dont like to use ROM Toolbox Lite or any other program to execute the file at boot you can try this method:
- with file explorer go to system/etc/ open "init.qcom.post_boot.sh" with text a editor, copy and paste this text "busybox run-parts /system/etc/init.d/" at the end of the file very important after you paste the text at the end of the file put an empty row(after the "busybox run-parts /system/etc/init.d/")
- now go to system/etc/ and create a folder with the name "init.d" with permissions 755
- after you create the init.d folder download kcal.zip (at the end of the post) and extract the kcal file, copy the file in init.d folder and set permissions 755
- the final step is to reboot the phone
enjoy
Confirmed working on my G3 D855 using Fulmics 3.5 ROM and stock kernel.
Work great thnx a lot.

Hey Guys, Chahat here!
After the more than expected response i got for AWESOME PATCH v.1.0, and requests for an update, i decided to make a more effective and better version of AP.
Things haven't changed You can flash this on any (Yes, any) Device/Rom.
This version is more concentrated on performance than customisation.
So here it goes...

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

What's New:
Updated All UI Tones This Time (From LG G2)
Better RAM Management
Power Saving Without Reducing Performance
Solves Telephony Call And Ring Delay Issues
More Responsive, Better And Faster Scrolling
Performance Improvements
Improves jpeg Picture Quality
More Responsive Proximity Sensor
Better Flashlight Itensity And Camera Flash Quality
KEEP IN MIND:
Flash v.2.0 on v.1.0 only
This is a beta generic mod and all its codes may not work for all roms/devices (Depends upon both hardware and software)
It's posted here only after testing on several roms/devices, but a nandroid backup is advised before flashing
It is advised (Not necessary) to clear all your additional build.prop tweaks before you decide to flash, Who knows which code clashes with whom (After all they are codes, not humans )
If you don't find this version of your use, stick to v.1.0, that's stable
FLASHING PROCEDURE: Nothing much of a wizard, Just reboot to recovery and BOOM!
:victory:
You can flash v.1.0 and v.2.0 back to back, for existing v.1.0 users, Just flash this version.
AP can be used by anyone (Developers, Porters, Normal Users)
Just make sure you give me proper credits if u use it in your ROM.

VERSION 2.0 IN ATTACHMENTS

Extract it and place your Rom's build.prop file in System folder
Repack the zip
Flash! Done!
YOU WILL STILL GET THE FEATURES WHICH DON'T INCLUDE CODES, AND YOU CAN FLASH v.1.0 AGAIN TO GET ALL IT'S FEATURES
:good: HIT THANKS TO SUPPORT ME AND MY WORK
KEEP THE SUPPORT UP

if anyone wants to try..extract the attached zip file. go to /vendor/bin directory and replace the thermal-engine file with the same. i have taken this file from miui 9 beta rom. i m using it on offocial los.
Or you can flash this zip through TWRP for alternative. This was thermal engine mod by BrateloSlava

Not at all. Everything is working perfectly for me.
If you are worried about it, you can always keep a copy of original file somewhere else as a backup.

Looks like they have updated thermal files in MIUI 9.
Ok, so I made TWRP flashable zip with new MIUI 7.11.10 thermal files.
Added missing lib and lib64 files.
Added addon.d script.

Yes, you have to flash again. Also, update your firmware to latest version.

I heard i dont have to update firmware if im flashing from nougat miui only if im coming from marshmallow , also last time i flashed firmware for custom rom i had to flash miui with EDL mode to get rid of some bugs since fastboot mode doesent format firmware. Thanks anyways.
I am not able to flash the file which is attached in OP
