Hello
I am using S7 edge Dual sim (SM-G935FD). i have a screen problem. my phone have 4 dark lines when brightnes changed to low level. if i use hight brightnes screen looking normal. other way my screen is looking like zebra lines black and white . i reset my phone but nothing changed. problem is look like in pixel light sensors. because when brightnes going to lowest lines is looking big. these lines instead of the entire screen goes dark when the screen brightness is reduced
Exactly the same issue. Started after going away on holiday. Have an email open with Samsung support, but still awaiting a response.

My phone screen is working normal now. i dont know what happened
i did not change something.
same problem here lol i think is light sensor because they change size when is in auto luminosity.
I am also having same problem. It started yesterday night. Can you please tell how it got rectified? How many days the lines were there on screen?
Screen issue
Just got the same issue without any physical reason. As I noticed, this is hardware problem, because lines still exists in download mode.
Do anybody have fix for this issue? Or only way to customer care?

If you put luminosity in maximum without auto it disappears...but that's a non solution. I have changed in customer care

What an interesting thing! Now, after about 4 hours, lines completely disappeared. Also, without any reason.
If any updates, I'll post it here.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Yesterday my my s7 edge got a 4 black horizontal lines. Ive been reading some comments and they said it was a hardware issue.
Is unsolved the provisory solution is put luminosity at maximum without auto. But best is get to consumer care

I'm also having the same issue...just 2 days after my 30 day return period my screen gets dark and light bands across it. When I turn to max brightness they disappear...anything lower my screen looks terrible.
I had this problem on my 2 week old s7 edge too. I took it to a samsung service center and had the LCD replaced in 3 hours. It is working fine now.
+1
Same problem, here
Time of use : 21 days , They appeared three horizontal gray lines, samsung 7 edge, black color
Same issue here
Time of Use: 24 days
i wasn't able to actually fix it but i kinda found a way to go around it.
So there's this app called Twilight, it's designed to set brightness or color overlap on ur screen in order to help you sleep when you are supposed to sleep but instead you're still playing with ur phone on ur bed.
What i did was: i set my brightness to the max, stripes gone, then i adjust my screen brightness thru the app, still no stripes, so i call it good enough for now.
So, this is very very weird. Everyone is thinking that this is a hardware malfunction, something to do with the display hardware. But the issue only repsond to the system brightness setting but none to any application overlay setting... hmmm i Could only wonder how is this happening
I am having the same issue here. Since it's HW problem, I am taking the phone to customer care right away.
Just a question:
-Can the guys from customer care read the data on my phone? I go to settings->security but I can't see any info about whether the device is encrypted or not. And will they require me to give them my unlock password/pin?

my samsung galexy s7 edge new phone have e same problem it under the warrendy...it can replece free off cost
Problem gets back
It's me again. 2 months before I was writing about the same problem with my SGS7e, so, then It was solved suddenly without any help.
So, 2months everything was good, but, today lines appeared again.
This time it probabply appeared because of my phone was dropped, but only after about 5 minutes.
For now it still exists and really makes me angry.
I'll post there news if any.
Hmmm... 2 days after lines disappeared. Without any help, as last time. I hope, this sh*t will newer repeat with my phone. How I'm happy about and of this strange things.

any way to fix it?
Regards
My touch screen is also dead on NIKI200.
That's second time for my touch screen. First time they changed my screen, but now my warranty has expired!
So Please Do You now how to send sms without pressing screen? I can call and do everything but I can't send sms. Next week I'll buy another phone, but I think that I'm done with HTC. It was just not so great experience, I just wanna old fashion non touch screen phone again.
''Vidim da si iz Zagreba, pa možeš i na hrvatskom''
I also have this problem.
Since I've had my HD2 it's been in my back pack as a back up Stunt Phone for going out drinking, albeit with an Orange PAYG SIM as it's locked and can't use my TMobile SIM from HD2.
Strangely, the last time I went out I switched the phone on to find the touch screen didn't work although it was ok when I put it in my bag after the last time. Although, to be honest, the screen did seem to be a bit less sensitive for the couple of months before I had the HD2, but a screen alignment always seemed to sort that out (it only needed alignment when I'd had it past the 12 months of my contract, it was fine before, strange that).
I can call out and receive calls but can't press the button to send SMS, nor change folders to read filed away messages. It's still okay as a back up phone, but I know I still have stuff in my folders such as texts with people's addresses that I potentially need. And I love the phone still, would like to have it back in working order.
My only thought is it got crushed in my bag, I'm wondering how easy it is to remove the slider part with the screen on, just to see if anythings come loose?
Hm,strange problem, when I flash it,it's dead, but trough some time it stzarts to work, first upper part od touch screen and then whole. It runs just fine when it's 100% battery full. Any ideas?
Nope,I really think it's a contact problem, cuz when it stops working,a sliding up and down helsp and the the screen becomes responsive. I'll try to open it later....

Hi All
I recently took my Galaxy S 5 on holiday and got it wet at a hotel pool. Water got into the phone due to prior drops which must have resulted in the seal being broken. You could see water had got behind the screen in the top right and top left corners. The phone will no longer detect my SIM card, but is otherwise sort of OK to use.
Cutting to the chase then, the phone reboots constantly if left on, but only if I am not actively using it. If I listen to music (Spotify, PowerAmp) or generally just use the phone it doesn't reboot. Also, I can leave it in Download mode or within the TWRM options and it stays on no problem.
Does anyone have any idea then if there is something within Android that's kicking the phone into a sort of boot loop, since the other modes are fine?
Thanks in advance for any help on offer
Tried flashing a new stock ROM to rule out firmware corruption?

Have spent the last few days reading about the horizontal lines on the S7 edge and am more confused than i was at the start.
Is there any solution that works to get rid of them? I have found a "flicker free" kernel and many other option but before i start trying it all i thought to ask maybe someone has had the same issue.
My device is a 935FD fully stock, nothing has been updated, rooted, flashed or similar. Today an OTA update from Samsung came and since the i have horizontal lines over the screen.
A factory reset or cache partition wipe hasn't helped.
Any help is greatly appreciated
I had the exact same issue with the lines, had to give in my phone at Samsung to repair. There are options to minimize the lines, but it will stay there. According to samsung the led was broken, hence the lines

Samsung is turning more and more into Apple and i really hate buying stuff from them lately.
There are hundreds of reports online that the lines eventually disappear in many cases after a while. Also when full brightness is on there are no lines so how can they claim the LED was broken
I did the full brightness thing for about a month. The battery life sucked. The lines were less visible when on full brightness, but not 100% gone. It irritated the crap out of me, so I took it in after about 2 months of trying all the things I read on the subject and hoping it would go away. Some people were lucky and it went away, I was not...
Just change the display with a new one
Unfortunately, my Mi A1 dropped in water. I put it inside a box with silica for 48h and it come back to life. ( I'm sorry for the bad english, i'm brazilian). However, I have a problem that is bothering me.. when the mi A1 is charging (almost when it is in 85%) the phone starts to bug, sometimes the mesage 'interf sist stopped' appears on the screen, and my phone stops working. Fell minutes later it turn on and work fine but the max battery is 84%.
Could I do someting about it?
Please someone help me ! (in Brazil do not exist a technical assistance from xiaomi):crying:
try go setting, application, show system app , reset all app permission

I already did it. Nothing different happened.
I wouldn't recommend opening your phone on your own.
The best thing you can do is dont let the temperature of your phone increase. Keep it in rice/silica every night. Don't let it charge over 50%.
Once all the moisture is gone it will work normally again (hopefully).
Even I had the same issue..
Just place Ur phone inside a car then put the car in sunlight.
Let it bake for 3 hrs
Remember to keep the phone off
Hopefully it helps..
It worked for me.

i wouldnt do that, you will most likely damage permanently your battery
i would open it up and "dissassembly", i mean, disconnect the main components and put it all together in silica/rice or whatever for a deeper drying
i think you can not do more

Thanks for the answer. Put the main board into isopropyl alcohol is a good thing to do?

i dont have any idea, sorry, but you can google for any guide talking about tips for drowned phones, all are the same
Today I tryed a thing .. I let him charge and put his screen to be on all time, and I see the screen freezing, but when put the charger off after some seconds it comes back to life. I'm very angry about it, nobody has an idea to solve it?
Faça como falaram e deixe ele esquentar desligado. Formate ele para configurações de fábrica e tente de novo ver se carrega.

Don't do that.
There's moisture in your phone. heat will expand it and it will spread. Keep it at normal temperature and periodically in moisture absorbing material. That's the best thing you can do.
After 1.1.2 update Normal wireless charging works but reverse charging is no longer works on 1.1.2 update. Tried restarting the phone. Doesn't feel to reset the phone for just a one feature which I don't use often but its sad to see things get broke.
Anyone had similar issue ?

For me 1.1.2 reverse charge works just fine, i dont have charging pad so cant try normal wireless charge but the contact that reverse works its sometimes hit or miss so you can try to find the right spot
Tried finding all the spots. It seems finding G spot is much easier than finding perfect charging spot.

I'm also facing the same issue. Did you resolve yours?
Please let me know.
Non lo so prima perché ho aggiornato immediatamente, tuttavia lo stesso problema, la ricarica wireless funziona ma la condivisione della ricarica wireless non funziona
Mod translation via GT: I don't know before because I updated immediately, however same problem, wireless charging works but wireless charging sharing doesn't work

Nope problem still exists. Even after 1.1.3 update
I found that when I put an iPhone on the charge sharing works. while before i tried with xiaomi earphones and it doesn't work with those ...
Same for me, put the huawei free buds pro on the back of the phone, it works for maybe 30 seconds then stop!
Submitted to service centre and due to long wait in parts availability they have just replaced the device with new one. There is no easy fix for the wireless charging issues as its directly related to mainboard and hardly with any software bug.
I suggest please visit service tand get it replaced if that feature is big deal for you.
Ps. You might have to wait up to 2 weeks due to crap process service centres has to follow.
