Hello everyone. I'm trying to import pictures on my phone without removing exif data. Right now it marks all the edited and created data the moment I import it, and not when I actually shot the picture.
Is there any way or app to do this with removing exif data? I'm just connecting my camera via cable to the otg adapter that came with the S7E.
Thank you.

Hi
I have imported some photos to my HD2 to use as contact pictures using windows media player and the quality is appaling despite them being taken with a 10m pixel camera and looking great on my laptop screen.
Any ideas as to how to fix this?!
Thanks
Transfer them directly to the storage card via usb disk drive mode...
Hi guys,
So I'm sitting happy with the new N4, but my photo galleries in my Galaxy Nexus are still on the old device. I've searched Google up and down but there doesn't seem to be a way to copy the galleries from one device to another. How'd you guys manage to get your old photos and videos onto your new N4?
Most likely via their phone charger (usb cable) hooked up to their computer and transferred the data to their computer and then transferred the data from their computer to their new phone.
transfer the stuff on your galaxy nexus to the computer. Then hook up your N4 and transfer it from the computer to your N4. Or if you want to do it the long way you can android beam everything lol.
This is fairly simple, I want to be able to browse and import my N4 taken pictures from my N10. Ideally using an USB cable...
I have a stock unrooted N10 and stock unrooted N4.
I just got an OTG cable for the N10 and I managed to
- browse and import pictures from a Sony cybershot (after changing the storage mode to PTP)
- browse and import pictures from an Iphone 4
Why on earth can't I do the same thing when I plug in my N4 to the N10.
I tried changing the USB mode from MTP to PTP without success. I tried changing the USB debugging mode, no success.
I tried to install the Nexus media importer on the N10 (which doesn't support N4)
The gallery app pops up but I see 2 black squares as albums instead of the real albums?
What am I missing?
Thanks,
JP
Not sure why ptp mode on the nexus 4 wouldn't work.
Alternatively, try connecting via Bluetooth and use es file explorer.

I know you'd like to use USB OTG, but considering both devices in question have NFC I would strongly recommend you try using SuperBeam, which has been incredibly useful for this kind of use-case.
I know you had a specific request for a specific solution, but I thought I'd offer a suggestion for an alternative that works great for myself.
Dropbox (or cloud archiving solution of your choice that integrates with camera app).
I've a Samsung GS3 and have Dropbox set to synchronize all new pictures. I then browse and access using Dropbox on my N10.
Best part, my pictures are backed up in case I factory default and forget to migrate my images.

Try switching what device the OTG cable is connected to. I noticed that if my OTG cable is connected to my S4 it will read the N10 device as the camera, but if I reverse the N10 will read the S4 as the camera.
Worth a shot.

Yep was worth a shot but didn't work with the N4.
Bluetooth is too slow, WiFi sharing might work.
The idea is to be able to review the pics full size before importing and editing.
I guess I'll stick to the g+ backup for now.
It's a bit said 2 Nexus devices can't talk to each other easily...
Thanks all for the tips!
cant find a solid info that the LS980 supports USB OTG. tried google and now that their discussion filter is gone, it make finding answers a bit harder. same thing here, nothing for sure that it works, but it does for other G2's??
anyway, just got this phone last week and also got a new canon t5i dslr. was hoping to be able to pull the sdhc out of the camera and get an OTG reader for my wifes phone( also a ls980) so she can post pics without the need of a pc, whilst out and about.
thanks for any info!
It should support USB otg I can't think of any reason that lg would disable that feature I know that it is supported in android 4.2.2 by default but it should work.

Works on my d800, I don't see why it wouldnt on yours. Buy a $3 adapter on amazon/eBay and check. I'm about 99.999% positive it will work.

Well i have a ls980 just like you and although i have not used usb otg on my phone i can say that when i go into recovery to wipe data there is an option to wipe usb otg data. I dont know why they would put an option for that if you were not able to use it.

I have a D802 and a generic OTG cable. My friends USB 4GB stick works without problem, but when I try to connect my Kingston DT101 4GB USB stick, that "stick animation" is shown on my LG G2, but memory isn't mounted. I can't see my USB stick in Settings -> Memory. Is there something I can do to make my Kingstone USB stick OTG compatible?
I am a new owner of the Z1 Compact, and I cannot seem to get Bluetooth 3.0+HS features to work with my laptop. The goal is to synch the phone's 128GB SD-card with my music library, and move any new photos off the phone and onto the laptop for backup.
The link works fine, no errors, but roughly 150 kbps is the best I am doing here over Bluetooth, very painful, makes me want to pull out a USB cable and just plug the phone in.
I bought a few of the magnetic charger cables from a cable vendor, so I am trying to open the little "doors" as little as possible, as they seem to have a lifespan, being rubbery plastic. I'd rather use Bluetooth high speed if I can.
I am rooted at .216 of 5.1.1, but other than removing bloatware, I have not done anything fancy to mess with the phone.
Use wi-fi transfer (plenty of apps for this on the playstore) if you can't use the USB cable. Bluetooth is best for streaming media, not copying large files.

I hear you. Did the same. Sadly charging with the magnetic cable is very slow, but I don't care over night.
About the sync.
How about 'MyPhoneExplorer'. It's a free app I'm using for years now and you can sync wireless.
I use it atm to sync contacts, photos (from different folders, you know, every app a little bit different) and recorded music files.

Yes, I use "My Phone Explorer" for contacts and calendar and such, but for photos and music, I am now using the Lenovo "SHAREit" program, which uses a direct WiFi link, and is far faster than bluetooth or USB. It looks like Bluetooth 3.0+HS has been abandoned in favor of the ultra low-power features of Bluetooth 4.0, dunno why both can't coexist.
On the magnetic charger cable, don't blame the cable, blame whatever you plug it into! Mine changes up lickety-split, so get a better wall wart, or check/change the USB port.
