I am really hoping someone here can help me.
Ive been into a sony shop to be met by blank faces and now today an o2 guru who i let keep my watch and phone for 5 hours also couldnt do it.
I have an s7 edge and a sony smartwatch 3, all im trying to do is put music on the watch so i can go running.
Ive read blogs and tutorials and none of it works, half of what they say to do doesnt even seem to be on my watch or phone!
I just need some hands on help.
My watch will connect to my phone thru android wear but when i look for it in play music i get nothing, no sync etc, when i look under manage authorised devices, there is nothing there.
Please can anyone help!!!
Do you have Android Wear option in setting?

i do indeed. that was one of the first things i turned on, but my device still doesnt show as an authorised device
Try this (if you didn't so already):
- restore the watch to factory settings
- on the S7E run the Android Wear app and pair the watch within that app. Don't use the phone Bluetooth app for pairing the watch!

How do you put the Gear Live in pairing mode? I am trying to pair my watch to a different phone and it won't come up in the bluetooth search on the second phone.
Found the answer, you have to factory reset the watch to pair to new phone. This sucks because I lose all my step history

No way, there must be another way. I have the G watch and I can just switch phones on the fly. On the other hand you have the Samsung watch. I had the gear 1 before and with that watch I also had to reset it (actually it did it automatically but whatever). It would suck if Samsung did this again..
This is in the help menu in the wear app

Hm, well I tried with my Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 and it worked without resetting. But I have the same apps installed so that might be why. Maybe it resets but I don't notice it.
Edit: Just tried again and it seems you're right. My step count also always resets. That sucks. Luckily I plan with sticking with my Nexus 5 anyway.
I've been using a SW3 for about a month without anything strange, but since about 2 days ago an issue happen: the watch can still receive notification from phone (email, fb message,...) that comes to phone still shows up on the watch, with watch vibrations,... I can install new watch face apps on the phone and the watch can receive those faces and set them. But I cannot interact with the notifications using the watch. For example, previously I can just choose "Archive" to archive an email directly from watch:

}
Now when I tap it, it shows
"Open on phone" is also grayed out:
And in the wifi settings, when choosing opening help on phone, it shows
But I have the phone right next to the watch, with all bluetooth and wifi enabled on both. The phone can continue to push notifications to the watch just fine.
I tried resetting the watch (twice), uninstall update for "Google Play Services" on phone and reupdate, clear data for "Android Wear" app on phone and re-pair the watch but nothing works.
Please help!
Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone has this watch. I don't really need a smartwatch in general, but I wanted one for when I went skiing (didn't want to risk dropping my phone while on the lift, etc.). So, I was looking for an economic smartwatch that could text and take calls. The reviews seem positive, so I went ahead and ordered it from Sears.

One thing that I'm unclear about is, what kind of OS this watch has. It's not listed anywhere on the page. While I wait for it to arrive, I wanted to ask around here to see if anyone has experience with this watch and if anyone sees any possibility for us to hack and install alternative OS.
Thanks for reading,
GT
looks like a java based operating system like many if not all of the cheap chinese non android os watches like my gv18 or the non android zgpax watches
looks like its running something called maui. I found out you can use the flashtools used on the dz09 watches to flash it but i need firmware for it.
I used Maui META to get this info about my watch. I wish I could install an android rom or something. my MTK chip is MT6260 it looks like.

It's easily twice as fast as walking, so I get lost twice as fast
I'd like satnav while avoiding the phone mount (cumbersome & risk of breaking the phone). I've been searching for a few days if I could get the turn by turn instructions from my phone (because Bluetooth) and display them on a mini OLED display but I don't think I can do that.
So, the next best thing would be to print a bracket to permanently install a smartwatch on the handlebar:
So, here's when I need your advice.
Ideally, I'd look for a place on my computer or phone and ask Google maps to send the itinerary to my watch/scooter. Alternatively, I'd be ok with having to start the navigation on my phone and then have it displayed on the watch.
Internet connection (if need me) will be shared wirelessly by the phone. Phone is a Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S on Android Oreo (MIUI 10).
So I think I want the smartwatch to run Android. Not sure I want it to run Android Wear
I don't have a shape preference but I want Google maps to be usable.
Budget is tight, used watch is welcome, which one would you choose?
Hello everyone, I bought a bricked TicWatch Pro 4G couple of days ago in the hope of fixing it.
I didn't know the exact model but it seemed to be of the Chinese variant and the bootloader was unlocked by the previous owner, I did manage to install a US Stock ROM and it did work, the watch work normally now except that the heartrate sensor is not working neither on tic pulse app nor on third party apps and the other thing is the battery indicator which always show 50% no matter how many hours I charge the watch or how many hours I used it.

This is a screen shot from the Wear OS app that showing a constant 50% over night and it's also showing the same in the watch as well
The watch continue to work until the battery dead and the watch shut down without a warning because it's always showing 50%.
Any suggestions and does anyone else encountered such a problem, the watch model is WF11026 and it's currently running version 2.33 of Wear OS with November 2020 patch.
Any help will be appreciated
