SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910C , MM 6.0.1
After 6.0.1 Marshmallow update..while messaging, Samsung keyboard acts slowly, with freezes and lag ..etc. To fix it I tried next steps:
- clear defaults and cache for messaging app
- clear defaults and cache for Samsung keyboard
- wiped cache for system - from recovery mode.
Does somebody else got this problem?
For now i installed google messaging app, and it works fine. I would prefer samsung's app because i got used to that and because i can set priority senders and alot of other settings.
I uploaded on youtube this behaviour but since i cannot post links, you can find the video by searching: Samsung Note 4 Marshmallow - Samsung keyboard lag - freezing
If you got custom rom then wipe everything including internal sd and keep your files on extsd.
The reflash the rom. If stock then just factory reset.

hi,
after upgrading to 2.3.3 (GT-I9000HKDDBT --> PDA:JVI / PHONE:JVO / CSC:JV2) via Kies and doing a data wipe i had the following issues:
1. no sync icon when email accounts a sycning
2. android market apps is at version 2.3.4 and is not updating to 2.3.6
3. unable to delete android market apps data. button is greyed out
4. unable to find samsung apps again for download (accuweather clock widget, asphalt 5, etc.)
can anyone confirm these issues or post solutions to fix them?
thanks,
mom20xx
hi,
I updated yesterday, but didnt do a factory reset.
1. never have seen that. you mean sync icon for standard email or for googlemail?
2. mine updated to 2.3.6, maybe just wait a few days, i had a similar problem in earlier releases. it'll update in the next time i think.
3. not
4. samsung apps updated and still there...
but what interests me: do you have the scrolling bug in the built-in browser?
1. standard email but it seems to work now.
2. is ok now after enabling google backup (einstellungen -datenschutz - meine daten sichern + automatisch wiederherstellen)
3. is working now with market 2.3.6
4. get the accuweather clock now. the rest I'm not using
In my eyes I have no scrolling bug in the built-in browser. it is working as expected.
how about daily briefing? did you still have it?
no do not have daily briefing. i even do not use it. maybe the download ist available via samsung apps
Hey even i couldnt find the Daily briefing... if anyone has the app pls share...
daily briefing seems to be gone umm... never used that, but dont really understand why they removed it ^^
is anybody else recognizing the scroll bug in the built-in browser AFTER factory reset (on stock rom)?
i dont really want to reset and again lose all settings, apps etc..
I've updated my Galaxy Note to ICS via Wi-Fi (official, about 320MB). Aside from a few minor bugs that probably got fixed after a couple of restarts, everything seems fine for now.
One thing that is bothering me - the S Note app is nowhere to be found. Both in-phone update option and Kies on my PC do not offer any other updates, nor I can find it in the Samsung Apps.
Where is my S Note and what should I do? =\
I've got a german Note, and I use it in Russia with Russian localization. Switched it back to German (for just in case) and rebooted - no effect.
Device info:
Android version 4.0.3
Firmware N7000XXLPT
kernel 3.0.15-N7000XXLPY-CL474507
build number (?) IML74K.XXLPY
U need Samsung apps in order get the new smemo app.
Its not part of the Rom.
First time I flashed LPY I got no s-note. Turns out I had too low space in my /data partition (I had less than 200 MB).
I came back to GB, erased a lot of unused apps, until I had more than 500 MB free.
Then, when I reinstalled LPY, got s-note.
Beware that all this flashing might give you superbrick When I did all the above, I didn't know of the bug.

Well, I didn't flash ROM, I updated the device via device info-firmware update
Try connecting to Samsung apps account
Samsung apps account is connected, and I had more than 700mb of system space at the time of update.
I wonder if there's an official way to install the S note or reinstall ICS altogether. Kies doesn't seem to offer such an option
Now that's strange. I was trying to find the gmail app with no success. I thought I wold just download it from Play market, but it said I have it installed, with no button to launch it, only to delete the app. Okay, I chose to delete it, but instead of being gone it became available to launch and the gmail icon appeared among the other applications oO
Maybe my S note is there somewhere, but it cannot be accessed through play market or samsung apps.
Bump.
Anyone knows how to report bugs to Samsung?
Why not just download the apk from this thread?

Hi guys i've a problem after flashing android 5 (black edition UK) on my i9505 i haven't lost my data but i have a problem is that apps force closing is there a solution for this ?
Memory Leak in 5.0.1 is primarily caused due to a bug in ColorFade.java. This module is invoked during screen animations, transitions and during boot animation which fails to release the frames thereby leading to memory leak.
So...a temporary fix for Apps Restarting would be to
1. Set Animation off for the following under Developer Options
a. Window animation scale
b. Transition animation scale
c. Animator duration scale
2. Restart the phone.
3. Launch Application manager
4. Stop bloatwares such as ChatOn, Facebook, Flipboard, etc [Remember to stop only bloatwares.]

1. Go to Google Play and update Google services.
2. Then update google apps like google+, gmail etc
3. Reboot and wipe cache from recovery.

Back it up. I'm not sure if Titanium Backup is working 100% on Android 5.x, but if you're rooted that app or ES File Explorer can back up the app data from both your user apps - the apps you've installed - and the system apps. Google should have a backup of at least the system settings, but it never hurts to take your own.
Once you've backed your data up, wipe the data and do a factory reset. Once everything is set, you can reverse the process and use ES File Explorer to restore the data.
Hi everyone! I installed various s7 ported apps and they all work fine on my exynos note 4 except for the messaging app. I am unable to send messages from the ported messaging app. I can type but when i hit the send button, it just erases what i've just typed. I was able to send messages with the app using voice on google now or through fb messenger. I tried clearing the cache and data, changing keyboard, reinstalling with no success. I am running stock touchwiz 6.0.1 on note 4 N910C. Thanx for any help or advice.
As the title says my Facebook app crashes whenever I try to upload an image/video on OnePlus 5, how do I fix it?
I have tried the following options:
Updating the app to the latest version.
Force stop > Cleared cache and memory from app settings
Uninstalled the app and reinstalled fresh version from app store
Reset my phone to factory settings
Installed the latest OTA updates provided by OnePlus
I don't know what else to do now, please help.. Is there any body else facing the same problem?
Go into settings / applications and clear all data from the Facebook App. Uninstalling and reinstalling wouldn't necessarily fix the problem because data from the earlier install would be restored. If that doesn't work I would ask if you are running 100% stock or something modded.

Thanx for the reply.. I have tried clearing all data and Cache from app settings but no luck. Yes, I am running 100% stock OS as provided by OnePlus. Any other suggestions..?
Have you tried to upload in chrome browser?

Yes it is working fine with chrome browser.. The problem occurs only via facebook app.
I did a hard reset on my device, reconfigured everything, installed the Facebook app fresh.. still the same problem.. Does anyone has its solution?
