Hello, I can't use the finger print sensor to sign in apps or remember passwords on the browser (I use chrome) ... I used to have a Galaxy S6 and it automaticaly asked me If I'd like to use the sensor for this even at the apps or the browser ... but G4 don't.. can anybody help me with that? thanks
Is it even the same kind of sensor? I have not heard of it before. Seems cool though. Maybe a samsung specific feature?

What is the correct aspect ratio to see half sbs 3d movies in mx player?
Encountered several WebVR sites that do not display vr switch button, so I would like to be able to switch to the vr mode myself manually, do you know if there are any ways to do that?

search for vr apps on playstore, you'll find many, try Google cardboard app once.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried that. Yes those apps have a vr button when launched, and it works. But after that, when I visit those sites I am interested in, the button still does not show up.
Hello. Can anybody give me a weather widget that looks just like tab S2 weather widget.
Hi to all,
I have a funny problem with a new Hisense A2.
The Hisense A2 is a new dual screen phone which I wanted to replace my yotaphone 2. Both phones have a e-ink display on the front/backside and an additional normal display. The apps from the normal display can be switched to the e-ink display. It works with google maps, browsers, and also youtube (looking, well not so good).
With the Yota it is no problem to use google cardboard oder chinese vr glasses. With the Hisense, the problem is, that the video feed is switched to the e-ink cover, where it does not work, even if the split screen line and the gear symbol is on the lcd side.
This happens with google cardboard apps, which is sad.
InstaVR Apps, like tokyo VR for cardboard or AAA VR Cinema Cardboard work.
I thought, all those cardboard apps would use the same output environment. Is there a tool with wich you can check wich VR modes (Cardboard, GearVR, ??) are working?
Thanks to you. If the post has landed in the wrong forum, please forward it.
Jens
Possibly a question with many answers.
I suffer from "VR sickness" whenever I go on the PS4 VR headset.
I didn't know it was a thing before I experienced it, it's like a feeling of dissociation and anxiety caused by the body not feeling what you brain thinks it's doing.
My question: would this happen with Google cardboard? Anyone with experience in this would be beneficial.
hello. is there an app that allow this? i want to access simply in one touch, i listened that samsung s8 has this native function and i hope that lg g6 has an app to do this. thanks
do you mean use your fingerprint to log onto websites instead of inputting your username and password? That works on Samsung devices using Samsung's internet browser. Perhaps you can download a browser that has this functions, but I don't think it's possible with the Chrome browser.
thanks, i hope anyone know this important function
So I know you need to use the Ambient Display / wake on tap to use the fingerprint reader.
But can you use it for regular fingerprint apps, like a banking app?
I tried finding information about this in Youtube comments and whatnot, but no one replied.
Thanks!
The banking app I use along with other apps that use fingerprint work fine with a fingerprint.
It works with my 2 banking apps.
Also works with other, non banking apps...
Works for me as well, ABN Amro in the Netherlands.
Yes. Works just fine using Numbrs.
It works exactly the same as every other fingerprint reader, so yes.
I can relate. With my Samsung Galaxy S7 my Wells Fargo app would allow me fingerprint to sign in option, not anymore on the OP6T. But on the Cash app, to deposit money it presents the option for fingerprint yet oddly enough only receiving - not when sending money
Yes, works fine
Works with my PNC, Paypal and also MyBuick app
That is very weird. Maybe the app is too old? Or OnePlus has to fix the firmware?
Working on all four of my bank apps
So it was actually well hidden in the settings but I got it to work lol. Thanks for the doubt guys.
Working well with all my bank apps (CapitalOne, BoA, etc)

Sure can use it for multiple apps
Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk
Works with Barclays in the UK also(Banking and PingIt).
Works fine with USAA, CapitalOne, KeePass, Authy and everything else I've used it for.
Works with Chase, JP Morgan, Citi, American Express, discover, and google pay.
. Yes, you can use fingerprint reader for logging in to your online banking account. Have it set up before you download a banking app, once you go through initial login /password /secret words, etc, a pop up window will ask you if you want to use fingerprint for future logins. Tap yes of course and it should work. Same is for PayPal, ebay for instance
Like everyone else said it works just like any other fingerprint scanner.
PayPal and Bank of America works fine with it.
@Elloco305 the phone settings or the bank app settings?
I'd like to use Smart lock but it's not available in the menus. I read some solutions that require rooting that I don't want to make because I'm warried about the issues with Google Pay and some bank's apps not working anymore after rooting.
So, is there a way to have Smart lock back?!?
Thanks in advance

Can you please point out to any (working) solution that requires root - but without the usage of any kind of Xposed (only Xposed is a threat for Google services but I doubt that even Xposed could make it really working).
With root, you can install:
[ROOT] Smart Lock Launcher - S - Apps on Google Play
[ROOT REQUIRED] A small shortcut to open Google's Smart Lock settings.
play.google.com
and get the menus and setup Smart llck, but no avail since Trusted places, Trusted devices (except maybe for Xiaomi BT devices) and On body detection will not work
I.e., I have root and just reinstalled Smart Lock Launcher (for the purpose of screenshots below) but I'd like to see how to make Smart Lock options really working. A year ago I spent quite a time, searching through forums for various other Xiaomi devices, but no avail
It only worked (with Smart Lock launcher I got it working) with one of Xiaomi eu weeklies, but since the next week, it was (most likely, intentionally) disabled

I referred exactly to that app that I haven't tested because I've no root but I thought it was working. Thanks to you, I realize now that it's not the solution as well.
I'm really disappointed because of the unavailability of the Smart lock that I miss a lot when I'm home and working.

Added two more screenshots above, I just setup again Trusted places and On body detection, then locked the screen - but on turning the screen on it still asks me for finger or pin (although both rules for Trusted places and On body detection should have been kicked off and automatically unlocked my Mi 9T)
Currently on Xiaomi.eu, A11 beta, 21.3.18

Thanks zgfg, you saved me from a useless rooting of the phone.
I really don't understand. What's the matter?!? Does Xiamoi care about the issue? Is there a plan to fix it in the future?
