I just finished converting Game of Thrones with handbrake and added the episodes to my S7.
Although I named all the files in correct order, it shows a different file name when added to the phone. As if they have a tag added. How do I change this?
Also, most thumbnails are just black - I assume it takes the first frame by default. Is it possible to add my own thumbnail?

I really love touch player but the fact is if your like me and have 2000+ songs touch player gets very slow when trying to scroll. This is because it shows album art in the library list. If i go into the folder that contains all the bmp images for the songs and delete it then it solves all the issues and the lag goes away as there is no album art, this is a bad solution as we all want to keep the album art. So i have pin pointed the problem and wondering if there can be a fix.
My two ideas;
1.) Hack touch player so that we can remove the album art in the library list but have it show up when in the now playing.
2.) Point touch player to a different directory to grab the images for the songs in the libary and in that folder just have few of the default images or no images so it gets blank data and no icons show up. But still have it grab the album art when in the now playing area.
I would post the thread i started on modaco but can't coz i'm a new user and it dose not allow me to do so
i would also love touchplayer hack to only update movies i use another player for my music...this would speed up the update significantly!!
well from what i said in the first post if that is complete it would allow for faster searches and less lagg.
I have test it by removing all the bmp that get created by touch player in "my storage/program files/touchplayerimages" after that touch player just fly's and there is no lagg what so ever, but this is a temp solution as i don't want to keep delete my album art as i want to keep it.
EDIT:
I just made a copy of touchplayerimages folder and looked inside and notice all the art is 256x256 which is really big and could explain the lag as it resizing the images to fit the library thus the lag. It seems you need to keep the size at 256x256 for the "now playing" section of the player. A simple solution is just to re size all the images to like 50x50 and the lag goes away but when you go into "now playing" the images are pixelated and blurry do to the reduced size.
for this i have to possible solutions aswell
1.) hack it so that it generates 2 images one at 30x30 for the library and another at 256x256 for "now playing" and it knows which one to pick up.
This could be a simple hex that has a sub folder in the touchplayerimages called libraryimages and all the images stored there are at 30x30 which would make it prefect. Or again just have it point to that folder and not have it generate anything is also fine, by doing this there should not be any images that it finds in that folder so no images get displyed in the lirary thus no lag, while "now playing" works as normal.
2.) Hack the "now playing" section and just reduced the resolution size so it only displays at like 100x100.
also wishing someone could make a way that the touch player doesnt include all sound files. if i do an update it includes even my ringtones into the player list. wish there was a way to make it the search folder specific
there is a app for that created by wes over at modaco called DB_TPlayer.Arm.CAB, but it would not run for me maybe you will have better luck.

I have this problem.
To run it, you have to delete all musics on device (include TouchPlayer database). After that, run wes' app and configure it selectin' which folder contain your music files.
It works for me. But after that, DB will not work again.
great will try it out, i don't care if it dosn't run after but as long as it only searches the folders i want it to i fine. Can you remove it after and it will keep the settings?
Is it possible to alter the thumbnails of the videos on the Tab?
my 3 year old uses it a lot (so obviously he can't read) and I have quite a few videos on there, I would like to alter the thumbnails to another part of the video like I do with the ones for his iPod (I'm trying to ween him of the iPod and onto the Tab, he already uses my Desire more than the iPod)
can anyone help with this?
for example he has 9 videos on there that are spin-offs to the Disney film "Cars" and they all start the same so the thumbnails for them all are the same and there's no filename their either (he can recognise numbers but there's nothing for him to see)
Any help with where the thumbnails are stored and how I can change them?
thanks
I have my each video stored in a folder with a thumbnail image of the movie poster. When I go to my gallery it shows the thumbnails

What do you name the thumbnails?
Does it show them in the "video" app?
Hey all, first post.
I picked up an used A7 for my daughter's birthday. Managed to follow all the instructions here to get Dexter's Elocitymod installed and installed some of the recommended apps listed in the forum. It works like a dream, thanks all involved!
I have a question regarding Gallery. I ripped three of her favourite DVDs and put them on a microSD card. Gallery recognizes the card and displays the rips as screenshots without names / titles. The menu smart key will bring up the option to see the name of the file, but is there any way to have the title display with the screenshot in Gallery? Or is there a different / replacement app for Gallery that would do this?
Thx in advance.
Give Moboplayer a try, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1064795
Does Moboplayer actually organize and display pics, music and videos with their names? Or is it just a player?

Moboplayer is a video player only. Rockplayer and the default musicplayer 3.0 is all one need.
The stock player (or whatever is in Elocitymod) works fine and I may look into upgrading to one with more features later, but what I want to know is:
Are there settings that can be modified in Gallery so that when videos (or music or whatever) are expanded into the individual thumbnails/screenshots, the file names or assigned names can be shown with the thumbnails/screenshots or, if not, is there another app that does the same thing as Gallery but displays the file names or lets you assign names to associate with each thumbnail/screenshot.
As far as I can tell, Sequence Shot clips are saved in .GIF form to the internal storage, but they are only a few frames from the entire clip (this is what the gallery uses to preview them). The phone, however, has access to the full, smooth versions of these slow motion clips, but they don't appear to be stored in a user accessible location, and there is no option to export them. Are these full clips accessible somehow?
[possible duplicate of a similar thread from 2014 which was unanswered]
IMPORTANT UPDATE: As it turns out, the .GIF file DOES contain the slow motion video, but you have to simply edit the file (with any free hex editor) and remove the .GIF portion of the file. See my forum post here for more information.
I did rotate my photo for 90° in the photo album and save, then the file size become BIGGER than the original one, why will become like this?
Since you didn't mention how bigger the file was, one can only speculate, but did you use lossless rotation?
If yes, the file could grow larger because a) additional metadata added to exif (pic info) b) could be adding thumbnail, c) even lossless rotation requires some of the data to be re-encoded and therefore change file size.
If it wasn't lossless rotation, not only the whole picture was re-encoded and file size changed , but also some of fine detail was lost during compression.

Not sure is it lossless rotation. I just did it in the media album app which is original in s8, use : Edit → Transform → Rotate, then the file size from 3.13MB become 4.60MB
