During the first boot of a ROM, you have to enter your google mail adress, you have to setup your phone...
During this setup, there are choices to make : Agree to general conditions, allow GPS, etc... One of thoses choices is to allow your phone to remember all of your informations (such as wifi passwords). I think you didn't cross this box, so your phone don't remember

I think you misunderstood my problem is that my phone every time I restart forget the network

I had a similar problem in my old Note 4. I solved it by doing the following
Edit build.prop
1. ro.securestorage.support= (((change true to false)))
2. Save and copy(replace) to system folder.
3. Restart phone
Not sure if this will help you, but it may. Take a backup first ????

Wifi problem on SGH i337

Hey all! so.. my friend came from U.S and he got me a used Galaxy 4 from AT&T, and the Wifi is just stuck on a green grey situation, its not on or off
i tried any solution online that i could find. i don't know what to do anymore. nothing helping the things that are only helping was changing the router settings to a different encryption mode from WEP and then its worked but when i connected my gs4 to a different wifi connection the problem happened again
the wifi can work days if I'm not switching wifi spots.

This is what I used to get adb/fastboot on my iMac. I am on MDL build, early version phone.
You will need to find you build number first. Under Settings/About Device to determine how to flash roms on the phone--a screen of that page may help also--

hey thanks i added a photo but apparently i need 10 posts at least so just add www i58.tinypic.com/v41bue.png
the wifi is working cuz i restart it to manufacture settings again but soon as i will disconnect him and join a different connection he will go grey again
From the PM photo you are on NB1 build--
If you are going to root to flash a custom rom you will need the below two links--
Read Op page of first link, I think it depends on how the phone got to NB1 as which steps you need.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2616221
You will need SafeStrap in below link. So, read up on that.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448925
These are if you are going to root to flash a rom. You can only flash Touch Wiz roms and no custom kernels or recovries.
If you want to get back to stock status you will need to flash the appropriare firmware and use Odin on a PC and Heimdall on Mac. Will have to research that.
What carrier are you on and where you are at?
Was the phone ever rooted--
I never returned to stock or used SafeStrap, so someone with hands on experience will have to help on that.
Hiii....I am also having the same problem. My phone was unlocked by a guy and everything was working fine then. From next day the i could not turn on WiFi(It would go grayish for some time and then return to normal).I tried searching for it online and found the following soln
1)Reboot and check(Didn't work)
2)Factory Reset:After doing this it worked for that initial scanning but again was back to normal once wifi was switched off
3)Factory reset and installed root browser(my phone is rooted as i was able to install root explorer) and tried renaming the wpa-supplant config file
.This was worked for me for like 4 days.
After that again the problem is back and its even worse. It is immediately turning off as opposed to delay in previous case. When i tried to follow the same procedure the config files are not present.I could not on wifi even after factory reset even once
As i am a new around here detailed help would be appreciated;
My Device Features:
1)Andriod:4.4.2,SGH I337
2)Baseband:I337UCUFNC1
3)kernel Version:3.4.0-1125940

Wifi Wont Turn On ($20 Reward)

Hi, I have a very bad problem and need some tips on how to fix the problem. If you successfully fix the problem for me I will pay you a reward of $20 via PayPal or Bitcoin.
I have a Rooted Samsung Galaxy S5 Verizon (SM-G900V) Running Android 4.4.4
Everything has been going fine and I have used my Galaxy S5 with no problems for around 6 months now, however I ran into an issue a week ago. My issue started after I tried changing my Mac Address (Spoofing it). I used PryFi:
● PryFi
*play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.pryfi&hl=en&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dpryfi&pcampaignid=APPU_1_ujKoVb-zO4Su-AGNiIC4AQ
I granted root access to the application via SuperSU. I also enabled the 'Mac Spoofing While Connected' option.
When I turned off the application my WiFi was fine for a while, I could turn the WiFi on and off, my problem didn't happen until I did a reboot when I rebooted I was unable to turn on WiFi ever again.
The application PryFi broke my entire WiFi, now I am able to only use the Internet with my data connection WiFi does not work at all.
I have tried a few things, however none have been successful yet.
I have did a factory reset and it still has not fixed my WiFi problem.
The WiFi will not turn on at all. It is stuck on Gray.
Bluetooth works fine, however WiFi does not.
If you're able to help me with this issue successfully I will reward you with $20 via PayPal, or Bitcoin.
Thank you,

Have you done a reflash? A factory reset just wipes /data, won't really fix anything...

Get TWRP.
Clear Cache, dalvik
clear data, system
Flash stock firmware via odin. Will fix the issue.

I am really upset about myself for not taking a backup as stated. I will from now on take backups all the time before doing anything that could corrupt my phone from now on.
I still haven't tested this to see if it will fix my phone, I will test this within the next day or so.
I do have a question, right now I'm on vacation in the Outer Banks with no computer access at the moment. Is there a way to do what I require to fix the WiFi problem without a computer?

They dont have a computer to flash a recovery, furthermore, even if they did, or if they used flashfire or mobile odin(assuming they have root), you cant get a recovery on a G900V, attempting your instructions would certaintly brick the phone.

Ferragamo,
Verizon's S5 has a locked bootloader, meaning any attempt to load/flash/Odin anything besides the factory firmware will fail (and sometimes end up in tears).
It seems that a major cleanup and then reflashing the latest firmware should resolve the issue.
You can follow my directions bellow to get it done at home (takes about 30 minutes on a fast internet connection), but yes, you'd need your computer.
Or you can stop by BestBuy and have them flash a new firmware on your phone for you.
Step-by-step Directions:
1- Start by downloading the correct USB drivers for your phone, and install them (open the exe file as administrator on your PC):
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/SM-G900VZKAVZW
2- Download and install Samsung Kies 3 software on your PC:
http://www.samsung.com/us/kies/
3- Back up your files from the phone using Kies or copy your files, photos, etc. to your PC
4- Time to clean the phone! Use the 3-button combo (hold volume up + home buttons and press the power button) to enter recovery.
7- use volume keys to scroll down to factory reset and press power to select it. Select Yes to wipe the phone. And repeat this step one or two more times for good measure.
8- hit reboot phone, once the phone's screen goes blank (phone vibrates), pull the battery. Don't let it boot.!
9- Load up Samsung kies on your PC, select Tools tab, and reinitialize firmware, answer the on screen questions to input your serial number from the sticker inside the phone.
10- Once ready to flash the new firmware, put the battery in and boot the phone to download mode (3- button combo hold volume down+home and press power)
11- connect the USB cable to PC and make sure Kies recognizes your phone, if not uninstall and reinstall the USB driver. Reboot PC etc...
FAQ's
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00043306/997388244/
Downloading the firmware will take a while depending on the connection speed. The file size is around 1.5-2GB.
Be patient and baby sit it until flashing is done.
Important: Do not break the cable connection, and prevent the computer from going to sleep or turning off during this process!
Happy flashing
Thanks everyone for trying to help me out. I'm still in the Outer Banks as of now (10:41pm EST). I won't be home until around Sunday, so if I'm not able to do this process without a computer it will have to wait until at least Sunday.
I have got a general picture on what I will have to do to resolve this problem. Hopefully when I get home I will be able to fix this situation.
Thank you Commodore for pointing out those nice tips and the guide. I noticed you mentioned I could take my phone to BestBuy, unfortunately in the Outer Banks they do not have a BestBuy as far as I can see. The only store I can find is a Walmart, so that probably will be of no use for me.
I would have gone to a public library to try and fix this issue, however this location has no library kind of dissatisfied a little, but if it did have one I would have took time out of my vacation to fix my phone.
If there is somehow a work around via the phone some how I would be willing to test it and hear it out, if the computer is my only option than so be it.
When I get home and fix this situation I will reward those who have helped and reached myself to restore access to the WiFi on my phone.
Thanks,
Ferragamo

how to fix

Rooting Problems (WiFi & SU Binaries)

I've tried to root my phone using a guide here on XDA, but it's causing too many problems on the device to make it worthwhile! Firstly, the phone no longer remembers WiFi networks, and also takes around 30seconds to toggle WiFi on/off. Secondly, SuperSU keeps nagging me to update the binaries, but cannot update them and refers me to a webpage that isn't much help. I'd greatly appreciate some help with this please.
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
Carrier: AT&T
ROM: SM-935U (Source)
Step1 ROM: I wanted to remove the AT&T bloat on my phone and have a stock Samsung ROM, so I followed this guide and replaced the SM-935A ROM with SM-935U. It works perfectly! Absolutely no issues at all, everything installs as expected and works perfectly, including WiFi and it remembers the WiFi network and passwords.
Step2 Root: Then I wanted to root my device, and this is where the problems begin. I follow this guide to root the device. The guide tells me to flash a file using Odin, which works perfectly and the device reboots ok. I then run the batch file (root.bat) which also runs ok, up until the command "adb shell < supersu.cmds" which tells the device to reboot, before the batch file can finish the remaining 11 commands in the file! I edited the batch file and added a 'pause' there, which allows the device to reboot and then I can continue running the batch file. So, even after I fully complete the root process with NO errors at all, the device now is rooted (according to RootChecker) and no longer remembers WiFi networks or passwords, and also takes about 30seconds to toggle WiFi on/off!
Also, after a reboot, SuperSU gets updated in the PlayStore and wants it's binaries updated, which it cannot seem to do. After a while, it says unable to update, please refer to this page: http://supersu.com/insteadbinaryfile.html I don't know what 'method 2' on that page is referring to when it mentions step 7. What auth app? SuperSU? Anyways, it doesn't work. Sure the device is rooted, but what good is it when it's constantly nagging for binary updates and cannot function with WiFi properly, because it forgets the network everytime it loses connection to it?
To resolve the WiFi issue, I tried a number of things. Forgetting the network, manually adding the network, rebooting into recovery and formatting cache, resetting the phones network settings, factory reset. None worked. I've googled the problem, and cannot seem to find anything relevant that works. Somewhere I saw something about a build.prop edit, but they didn't say what to do or what to change in the prop file.
Thanks for reading all this, and for taking the time to reply.
First, the root instructions say not to update su binaries. I wouldn't try changing to super su either until you hear something else has been made safe. Second is in the discussions under the root thread, someone has posted a zip that's flushable through flash fire that solves lag, Wi-Fi issues, all that. Third, you need to read, read, read what people are saying, inductions, etc...And within a thread, search a word like "Wi-Fi" because the odds are someone rose has had the same problem already. There are even step by step videos on YouTube that came out before that flashable zip on how to manually address those problems. Hope this helps though.

That should take you to the zip download. Not sure if you messed things up with your superuser though, do you might want to reflash a stock firmware & go through the root steps again if things start getting weird. Just post pay attention, man. Good luck and all.
Thanks for the pointer. I did actually try searching both the ROM and Root threads for "wifi" without any success.
I get this error from the XDA website: "XDA-Developers
Sorry, we encountered an error processing your request. Please go back and retry or wait a minute.
The Administrators have been notified of this error"
The only way to 'search' is to CTRL+F each page, which on the ROM page takes a while. I skimmed through all the posts in the Root thread, and didn't see any mention of WiFi problems (until my post there), just mentions of lag issues.
I will try the 'fixes zip' they posted there and see how it goes. Thanks again.
Hmm, that's odd. I've only had search problems via dolphin browser on my phone, never on my pc. I didn't realize there were any posts under the rom/kernal/recovery section to search within yet. Just for future reference, you can always check the main s7 forum, the Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon s7 edge forums for possible compatible solutions, YouTuber "highonandroid,"androidcentral and plain old Google. Sometimes I'll even end my Google search with 'xda' and get great results. But I'm just saying, all these answers have been out for a while, and all over the place. I mean, I even waited to root so I could see what other people were claiming to have issues with before I just jumped in. And if you skimmed through the steps missing the info about not updating the su, you should remind yourself to be more careful moving forward. Rooting and flashing, especially on Samsungng devices is not near as forgiving as it used to be. Glad your phone isn't a brick, man. I know a lot of people on xda would flame you for not finding the answers out there before posting this, or just ignore you. I just wanted to help, and hope you can just be humble and learn from it. I don't claim to be an expert or anything. The developers here are the best though. Anyway, all the best, man.
Here you go buddy,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...sed-unroot-t3411039/post67605246#post67605246
edit: Sorry just realized you're using the U version. Does it need to be unlocked? I'm also on AT&T using the S7 Edge and used this guide to get mine working. I did have a bootloop problem at logo and had to go into recovery and reset clear cache blah blah blah (make sure you have a backup). So, if it's just the root you're after, this will work fine. I did the fix debloat zip and flashed it with flashfire to fix many of the issues you are talking about. (wifi).
Also installed SuperSu this way http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-s7-edge/how-to/root-available-t3411650
I have a note 5 downloaded towel root an super su but says bianary occupied what do i do.

No wifi on stock ROM and MAC address reads 02:00:00:00:00:00

My G4's been working fine since i had but about a week ago i noticed it wasn't connecting to any wifi networks. It was searching but couldn't find any.
I did a hard reset and now can't get past the android set up page, as soon as it starts searching for a wifi network it locks up and then reboots after about 10 seconds.
The MAC address is listed as 02:00:00:00:00:00
I've reflashed the Stock ROM that was already on it but it's made no difference, any ideas???
Have you got root?
No never been rooted
You could try rooting your phone and changing manually the MAC with some app.
Can't get past the android setup so I can't install any apps!

The bootloader isn't unlocked.
Before flashing it was on NPJS25.93-14-13/3
I reflashed using https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/stock-rom-npjs25-93-14-4-march-1-t3608138
Just to clarify the wifi wasnt working before the flash hence the reason for reflashing
Just tried unlocking the bootloader so i can try other roms but it wont let me. Keeps telling me to tick allow oem unlock. Cant do that as i cant get past set up screen!!
are you sure you are flashing the right version for your device??? flashing wrong firmware causes the MAC id issue most of the time!

Yes definitely the right version. The MAC id problem was there before any flashing was done.
at setup screen skip the setup, if you can. I am not sure, if you can skip it or not..I don't know, what other way you can do things without unlocking the bootloader
There's no option to skip the setup unfortunately, It locks up and restarts once its trying to connect to wifi. I've tried using the mobile network but it still crashes and restarts (I'm assuming that this is because wifi is still being turned on).
I'm at a bit of a loss what to do really???
I'm not sure whats causing the issue with the wifi, flashing stock ROM hasn't helped and i'm unable to unlock the bootloader because i can't get it to boot! Any help greatly appreciated!!!
Im beginning to think that there's no way to fix this, what i can't understand is why the wifi still isn't working after reflashing stock ROM surely that should clear everything back to factory including whatevers stopping the wifi working.
Could possibly be a hardware issuei suppose ,is it possible to replace the wifi chip?

I still have the original stock rom and exactly the same problem!
The last update ****ed it over!
I will now try cache clear on stock rom before I go further
Edit - No change! Definately need a solution for this
As I have the same problem I will wait for further support so that worst case I can provide help for the other user.
Mobile Data still works tough
Phone: never rooted, after cache clear it doesnt ask for update anymore which helps
EDIT 2: Got it to work. I wsa able to get into a public wifi download the new update and all is fine.
1. Clear cache
2. public wifi or download the latest update from XDA and start manually
This should fix it!
Just to share what helped me to recover Wi-Fi and solve the MAC address 02:00:00:00:00:00:
A. Get the apk file of the Wifi Mac Changer app and install it in your phone without Wi-Fi.
B. Open it and grant root access. You'll see that your "Real" MAC address will be 02:00:00:00:00:00.
C. Then you have your "Fake" Mac Address. Copy it into the line "New Mac" and press "Hard change" button. You don't need even to reboot to restore your Wi-Fi.
D. For me, it worked at the first time, I can also uninstall the app later. Later dirty flashes of ROMs got Wi-Fi without issues.
Hope it helps.

No Wi-Fi after rooting G4 Plus XT1642 (using many different methods)

Used a number of different methods from various sources, most of them on this forum.
Each time a successfully got root on the phone i don't have Wi-Fi ("No Wi-Fi networks available").
I have used the latest twrp for G4, Elemental-G4-3.01 with Magisk-v19.1, SR5-SuperSU-v2.82 and superuser etc.
My latest attempt was following instruction in this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4/how-to/guide-how-to-root-moto-g4-magisk-stock-t3725712
When I fail I go back to ATHENE_NPJ25.93 and Wi-Fi works perfect each time.
What should I do?

Thanks!
I am new to rooting phones so excuse my ignorance.
I am going to connect this phone to a car navigation/entertainment system using USB and via Android Auto (with some patches) "mirror" the phone screen to the car screen.
I don't need to do any calling using this phone, only need wifi.
The post you refer to seems to be related to baseband problems, is it the same kind of problems?
However in the first part of the post it mentions IMEI = 0, which is the case for me, should I go down this route and try to solve this issue (if possible)?
The thing I don't understand is that wifi works fine (with IMEI=0) when flashed to stock but as soon as it's rooted it looses wifi and bluetooth (and possibly other stuff)
I'm having the same issue and as this thread is still fresh I figured I would post here, I tried the flash posted above but all it did was trick my g4 into thinking its a g4 plus with no wifi still, I understand that is what its suppose to do and a fix is there for it but right now I'm trying to fix wifi.
