Check IMEI (and other service) got Service unavailable - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hi eveyone,
I just bought the international ss7 edge from verizon carrier (please note that our country don't have verizon carrier). My model is sm-g935v, i can call and receive a call, but when i try some secret test code like #06#, * #1234#.. i always got a message "Service is currently unavailable" <- what problem is this? How can i fix it? If i cannot fix it, is there any disadvantages for using this phone?
Thanks for reading!
p/s: please excuse my bad English

[Q] Not registered on Network Please help

I've Boughten an unlocked Galaxy Note 3 SM-9005 on ebay. To use for straight talk in the United States. The first sim card i had in it was a normal sized sim card that i had cut (instead of micro) And after fiddling this sim card had worked from 4-5 days. Then i started to get the error message "No service" and "Not registered on Network" I had figured the sim was probably the reason to why i was not being allowed to call or message. So i bought another brand new micro sim card. And then put that in (Again with straight talk) and i am still unable to call or message. I have checked my imei number and it is the same as the one on the back of the phone. I have tried to re-register on the network within the settings on the phone. With no luck whatsoever. I have noticed that the CSC is not correct for the united states. And in hopes of fixing it i rooted and installed a custom rom. (IMEI is still the same)
If someone could please help...I am Stumped[/FONT]

Head over to Sammobile.com find the right CSC/Firmware for your country and flash it Via ODIN on the PC.

Given the details that you have provided so far the most likely scenarios that I see are:
1) there is a mechanical problem on the SIM contact
2) the seller was on some form of a contract and has reported the phone stolen, so the IMEI is now blocked on some or all carriers.
DO NOT MINGLE WITH THE FIRMWARE at this point (and also disable any automatic updates of the firmware).
Also if you want further technical info (and not just guesswork) you should post the output from *#1234#

It really does depend on the issues xclub has brought up.
If it was me, I'd rule out SIM issue (the card itself) due to having a replacement, although it could be an issue with the SIM Tray.
And if it is used, then yes it is possible that it has been blocked by the original owner.
EDIT : Do you guys in the US have an IMEI checker for blocked IMEI's etc? in Europe we do it's called CHECK MEND.. Might be worth having a look or alternatively give your network a ring, they'll know for sure.

Ok so you have the same firmware as me, I am using BTU which is UK (I am UK) - So your CSC does indeed need changed to match you for US use - -- Firstly does your network support the available frequency required? (do you have LTE?) - If so you can change you CSC to your required region But another factor --- are you aware of region lock? has it been disabled that you know of? - this could cause some issues if it hasn't been deactivated - I'm not sure when changing CSC/firmware if it reactivates region locking or not
EDIT: I think only T-Mobile supports the N9005 in the US ( I could be wrong) --- Need a US user to chime in here I think to be 100% sure!!
Going with an Unknown carrier on CSC/FW- May not solve it

I could try it tho. I'll tell you the results once i finish. And Verizon And At&t are used by straight talk. And it looks like they both have the note 3. And when i purchased this phone, It said that region lock was disabled

Don't see why not, plenty of people are buying them and plenty selling them.
majority of users have no idea what Knox is tbh, it's ultimately up to you if you disclose this to them or not.

That looks like EU version. Since somewhere else you mentioned that you rooted then the next thing to try is Region Lock Away:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2470551
since the phone might now be "hit" by the EU region lock (an even simpler test would be to insert an EU SIM just to see if it registers on some network for roaming). If RegionLockAway fixes things you can then see what version of firmware you want in order to get LTE from your carrier.
If you want to sell the phone - being rooted might even be a plus, but having Knox 0x1 is certainly a major minus.
I did get region unlock and it did not work. And when i try to install the unknown firmware i am unable to flash it with odin i get all sorts of errors (I tried two of the unknowns) BTW thanks for the help
Please help, I flashed it to Android 5.0 and I did root for it and used region unlock app and still I face the same issue, please help me

[SHV-E250L] Can't connect or register to network

Hi everybody,
For a while I was using the SHV-E250L under custom firmware without problem.
Now, I moved to China and I must use my mobile with stock firmware (company policy). However, since I came changed to stock firmware / unroot, the connection to the network is random:
-Somtimes working well
-But most of time i got the messages "impossible to register to the network" or "registration unauthorized"... asking me to call a customer service in Korea. It's like the mobile is using roaming, just because the phone is Korean (but I'm in China with China SIM !)
I don't know if some users of this variant already faced these issues.
I was thinking, if I change the CSC number to China, and reset the firmware via Kies it would be better, but I'm not sure that it's possible.
If anyboby have any idea.
thank you by advance.

Type *#1234# and check what is the CSC.
Hi, you can install the app called "PHONE INFO" from Play Store, it was developed by vndnguyen. It can help you to check your Note3 is genuine or fake, and it can also provide you a lot of infomation about your phone.
Hope that helps

T-Mobile Galaxy S6 Edge+ Null imei or baseband Problem

Dear All,
Few months I bought a Samsung S6 Edge+ which is from a unknown person. It was a T-mobile package. But, now it's imei is blacklisted. So it's showing "null imei" & "baseband unknown". & It's can't recognize any network.
So, I am asking for your help. Can anyone let me know the solution for these problems, please?
Waiting for your answer.

It's illegal to change the IMEI in most country's regardless of how you came to have the phone its technically not yours
