lg g2 d800 cdma band - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have unlocked cdma bands using qpst in my g2 d800 model but not getting to sim work.
can any one knows is this method works for d800 model or not.
plz help me to cdma sim work in this model.

Unfortunately, your d800 is a GSM device, CDMA sim cards won't work. They have different bands/frequencies for their networks.

[Q] Changing Radio Basebands

Hi there,
I am wondering if I can change the basebands/modem from my D801 T mobile G2 to work with the international D802 basebands since I am moving to germany. Can we just flash a new modem to get different LTE bands since it's a S800, as qualcomm said the first world LTE processor?
thanks a lot

Not that i'm aware of. Check the tmo bands and see if they are compatible with the common german carriers. Otherwise I would just sell your G2 on swappa and purchase another.
that is what i will end up doing if necessary, can someone confirm this is not possible at all? thanks!

It's not possible to change the bands a phone operates under. Here are the bands the different versions use (taken from Wikipedia) so you can check if the 801 will work with whichever carrier you're planing on going with.
AT&T - D800
GSM 850/900/1800/1900UMTS 850/1900/2100LTE 1900(2)/1700(4)/850(5)/700(17)
Sprint - LS980
GSM 850/1900CDMA 800/850/1900UMTS 850/1900LTE 1900(25)/800(26)/2500(41)
T-Mobile - D801
GSM 850/900/1800/1900UMTS 850/1700/1900/2100LTE 1900(2)/1700(4)/700(17)
Verizon - VS980
GSM 850/900/1800/1900CDMA 850/1900UMTS 850/900/1900/2100LTE 1700(4)/700(13)
Global version - D802
GSM 850/900/1800/1900UMTS 850/900/1900/2100LTE 800/900/1800/2100/2600
Canadian version - D803
GSM 850/900/1800/1900UMTS 850/1900/2100LTE 700,AWS(1700?),2600
Ok thank you, question solved! thanks

[Q] Can LS980 be used in other CDMA carriers' network?

Thanks for your reply.
What about international CDMA operators using UIM card? Does LS980 recogonize the UIM?

[Q] Does LS980 support R-UIM card?

LS980 can be unlocked to support GSM and WCDMA SIM card yet.
Does anybody try to use the R-UIM card for CDMA service like China Telecom or India TATA?Thanks a lot.

[Q] LG G2 D800 (ATT): Signal issues on T-mo. Will flashing D801(Tmo) ROM help?

I have an unlocked LG G2 D800 (AT&T model) but have been using it on T-mo. I recently moved and am having signal issues at my new location. I'm wondering if there are any signal compatibility issues.
Here are the specs for the G2 models for each carrier:
> AT&T Model D800 | 2G/3G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900, UMTS 850/1900/2100 | 4G: 1900(2)/1700(4)/850(5)/700(17)
> T-mo Model D801 | 2G/3G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900, UMTS 850/1700/1900/2100 | 4G: 1900(2)/1700(4)/700(17)
Two questions:
1) Since the 2 models differ slightly, would I have better success if I actually bought a T-mo specific phone like the D801 instead of the D800 I currently have?
2) If so, is it possible to convert a D800 to a D801 using some software magic (ROMs, Kernels etc.). If so, what exactly do I need to do?
Thank you for your help in advance.

How to unlock 4g bands for H910 in UK/Europe?

Hi there. I bought an 'unlocked' AT&T H910 LGV20 from ebay.
I thought would work in the UK as the phone hardware has compatible 4g bands that my provider (EE) uses.
The stock at&t firmware only allowed me to use 2g/Edge.
So I have flashed several other roms / kdz files using LGUP
( h910 Puerto Rico, H915 Canada, US996 unlocked US - variety of android 7 and android 8)
Some roms (particularly Android 7.0 Canada and Puerto Rico) work with 2g and 3g but there isn't even a 4G option in the base menus.
Some roms have global or allow you to select LTE/3Gpp but they don't allow me to get a 4g signal.
One even said 4g at the top but when I checked the connection in phone settings - about - it showed 3g (and this was consistent with the download speed too)
II only got videotron Canada to work. Bell and Rogers should have an overlapping 4g band but I got the CUST error on those roms.
I have tried going through service menu but all that can do is sometimes force a 3g signal from 2g
So what should I do?
1. I s there a rom with overlapping 4g bands that would work? Can I flash a HK rom onto H910?
2. Can I root the phone to unlock 4g bands?
Would this survive unrooting to allow me to access microsoft intune (for work email), banking and sports apps (which sometimes don't like root?)?
3. Would a custom rom work? Which do you recommend to keep as many features as possible eg remote control, camera, DAC?
Do they also work with microsoft intune, banking apps, sports apps etc?
I have followed a few of the posts out there but given the ebay seller I wonder if a few more people in Europe might have been tempted!
Thanks!
Hi
You need Band 20 (800) to use with EE UK and according to GSM Arena list of specs for the H910 that version of the V20 does not have it and I do not know if it can be added.

Thank you!
I was led to believe the H910 (same as H915 in Canada) supported all of EE's 4g bands.
But for sure, the carriers seem to have locked some out. But not having any luck with other roms either...
I cannot post the url but
frequencycheck . com
carrier-compatibility/wwW4hXP/lg-h910-v20-lte-a-h915/ee-everything-everywhere-united-kingdom
Compatibility - 3 out of 3 bands supported
100%
Interface Name Supported by device?
LTE B3 (1800 +) Yes
LTE B7 (2600) Yes
LTE B20 (800 DD) Yes
As I said in previous post the H910 does not support Band 20 (800) check GSM Arena site select LG V20 and then H910 and select LTE bands and you will see that Band 20 is missing. The H915 is not listed.

I have a similar issue, having bought an "unlocked" H910 and having only 2G. Is this the file name of the H915 kdz file you flashed to enable 3G: "H91510e_00_VTR_CA_OP_1205.kdz"?
Thanks.
