i'd suggest calling VZW also, to confirm you're account has mms enabled. might also be something in the switch, even with the provisioning on your account level, it might not be enabled in there.
I was able to flash all the files
phone works GREAT
but no DATA...
when I open the browser it takes me the tmobile site and asking me for a password.
I went to APN,
there is:
TMOBILE US 320
when I create a new APN and save it
it wont save.
when I edit the tmobile apn thats already there, when i edit MCC and MNC and save it the apn deletes so i have to RESTORE DEFAULT.
any ideas on how to make the apn sticks or what?
please some body help
I PM'd the solution.
please pm me also
Hey forum,
I know a lot of you would of heard stuff like this before, but after flashing Darky's ROM I'm having issues with APN. I have tried multiple times to access mobile Internet, and I noticed I have no access points. I have tried to create access points as I have been given the info on how to access Virgin's internet, but each time I go to save it, nothing saves, it stays blank. Anyone have any ideas?
Yeah it's a problem with JVO/JVH itself. I also had that problem. The trick is to not touch the MNC field when entering the apn. After that it's all sweet. So even if MNC is shown as 029 do not go in there and change it.
Hope that helps
try restoring to default apn then proly nothing will happen but you will be able to save new once after... worked for me...
solve
u can solve this problem when u flash the dark core 2.6 kernel
it work perfect with me
(sorry for my english)
I have the same problem.
I'm not running Darky, I have stock JVP, with CF_root
I did restore to default and I never changed MNC
Name, APN, APN Type are the only 3 fields i modified, and it still will not save
Any other ideas?
Can you send mms?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
No, I also need an APN for that.
Got an answer that seems to make sense, haven't had the chance to test it as I'm in the office for another 4/5 hours.

Apparently re-flashing new firmware with an old CSC meant for your region should do the trick. Follow the link for more info.
If anybody is still interested, I did as advised in the link I provided above and it worked. Basically I downloaded an older firmware which had the CSC for my region of the world, and flashed the CSC alone to my phone through Odin, no pit no repartition.
It worked perfectly fine and I didn't lose any of my data or apps.
Good luck.

Everything I've tried doesn't work. I have a working apn backup from gingerbread but ics doesn't allow apn permission to restore any backups....

Hi, I have an s8 originally VZW, with G950U1 firmware and Total wireless sim, when i go to apn settings the option to add is greyed out, it only gives me a profile default for Tracfone apn, which i can't edit. How can i solve this problem?
Create a new APN with the correct settings and activate that APN.

im in the same boat, bought the s8+ black online no carrier attached and i popped in my verizon sim. i want to edit the apn but everything is greyed out. i think its a possible sim issue. i put my brothers tmobile sim and everything worked.
I am hoping you have solved the problem by now. When I found I had the same problem, I went to the page with the "add" grayed out,and instead tapped the only apn that was there, and another window opened up with the apn address field being the only dark one there, so I clicked on it, backspaced the wrong address out, and typed in the preferred one. Done. I still can't add any more, but you can edit the one that is there...
