I have been getting a battery drain from 10197 from my Verizon s7. Does anyone know what this is?

Originally on my N4 I was rocking straight talk ATT side, my battery life was awesome... Well then I recently switched to T-Mobile monthly 4G (faster speeds) and now even after a couple factory wipes my battery doesn't seem very good. I check what's consuming and Android OS and android system is always in the top 2. I can't seem to get those two programs to calm down. Its not a rogue app, I don't have any apps besides xda installed. I am not rooted just running stock. Has anyone else seen a battery life drop since using T-Mobile, is it that significant? Any advice or tip would be appreciative.
This is really interesting to me. I've read a great deal about the Nexus 4 battery issues but as far as I know they've never been linked to carrier. Of course, I haven't read everything about it and someone might have made a connection along the way, but I haven't come across it.
Do you use the Better Battery Stats app? If so, check the number of msm_hsic_host wakelocks. On a good day, mine hovers around 10-12% of the overall wakelocks (today it's 22%, who knows why). To my knowledge, this is related to the Android OS in the stock battery analysis. I'm on AT&T. This would make me hesitant to jump to T-Mobile when my contract ends in March. Hopefully 4.2.2 fixes the problems regardless, but has anyone else seen worse battery life on T-Mobile than AT&T?
Hi,
Currently own a Nexus 6p and am experiencing massive battery drain from Google Play Services when I'm on 4g (aka not at home).
So essentially when on wifi google play services is situated pretty low down the battery drain list.
However, if I'm on 4g for most of the day - it will be right up at the top taking as much as the screen - and on some occasions more.
Anyone else experiencing the same issue? Or anyone know of a fix?
Thanks in advance
I have the same issue here
I read an article about a few months ago. It was about 4G causing battery drains, and a guy gave some good explaination about it.

Has anyone else noticed battery drain while Roaming? I go between Canada + US a lot and notice pretty bad battery drain while Roaming. Both Android system and Google photos claim to be using a disproportionate amount of battery.
My phone is Tmobile, completely vanilla. Not rooted or anything. Build number: NRD90M software version: H91810d
Anyone else notice this or know of a fix? I've looked around the forums for both
I have the same problem - US T-Mobile variant that's up to date and not rooted can't even make it half a day in the UK when roaming. The phone is constantly hot, but nothing shows in battery details as being responsible.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge got the Oreo update lately and the battery was just draining like crazy. On top of that, charging it seemed to take up to 10 hours and draining it less than 1.
Never had an issue until update. Fresh installed using Odin (direct 8.0 AP). Still draining like a wild fire burns.
Are there ANY solutions to fix this? I'm not sure what more info to provide so ask away and I shall answer you. I know it's a short question.
Hi,
I've used battery historian but still can't pinpoint what's happening with my phone. It's been like this since ever with this and other devices so I'm thinking it's some rogue app or a WiFi problem of some sort.

Thank you!
