I believe I damaged the ROM in my phone.
I mention the phone has the bootloader unlocked and is rooted.
The firmware was ALE-L21C432B183
I had a error "Error retrieving information from server RH-01", so I decided to remove my account, but after that I wasn't able to add it back (I had just removed google+ apk before that, i believe it was a bad move).
So, not knowing what I should do, I decided for a factory reset.
After restart, first screen is with language selection, then is Terms and Conditions and after that I have a completely white screen and it won't move from there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much.
EDIT
I tried to flash this ROM: http://www.carbontesla.com/2015/11/huawei-p8-lite-ale-l21-stock-b170-lollipop-firmware/ but I get "Software install failed!"
EDIT2
I noticed that I can get a screenshot by pressing Vol_down + Power, which allows me to Edit the image afterwards. Unfortunately it was saved in internal storage. This makes me believe the Android is functional, but I only have issues going past the (google account?) screen.
!! EDIT3 !!
I managed to make Android partly functional by not choosing a WiFi connection when Android first started AND skipping any google account creation (because it didn't asked if no internet was available).
The problem seems more accurate now as any google-account related service won't work: I can't add a google account, can't start Google Play, can't add an account in Chrome, etc. Basically anything that has to do with google account is compromised.

Hi
I updated from CM7-17 to CM7-18. Now Market doesn't start and all Contacts are gone. I installed gapps-gb-20110613-signed.zip from recovery menu, but no luck.
I have the feeling that somehow my gmail login data got lost. Also after update I got a screen to log in to the SIM Network. Never saw this before.
Do I have to reset to factory defaults ? Hope not. Does not want to loose again all my games and stuff.
Thanks and best regards

Update: Later i realised after updating boot.img to fxp018 too, that I have no set/select key. All would act as "back" buttons.
So I flashed boot.img from fxp017 and then also installed the updated.zip from fxp017. I then needed to enter my Gmail credentials, and now everything seems normal again.I guess there are some major issues in fxp018.
Hi,
I have an Acer A501 on which I installed CWM and a custom rooted 3.2 ROM shortly after purchasing it in order to use a certain app that required root permissions. I noticed that after the root, the device would give me a "server error" when trying to download apps from Google Play, but I didn't really pay much attention to it, since I didn't download new apps very often and I figured I could just get APKs from other sources. Recently, though, I have been trying to give the tablet a new life by getting Google Play back to work (since searching for APKs on dodgy sites isn't exactly the most reliable way of getting new apps) and maybe installing ICS. I flashed a stock 3.2 ROM and got rid of CWM, since I assumed it was the reason for Google Play not working, but apparently I was wrong, since I am still getting that error. I have also been trying to flash a stock ICS ROM, but every single one I've tried so far shows an error (the Android robot with the yellow warning sign) almost immediately after starting to flash. Does anyone know the solution to these problems? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Bump... Anyone?

Yeah, I remembered I had the same error.
Anyway, pls try to check this link...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733038
In my case, I just removed the existing account. Then, add the same account & it is working OK.
Thanks for the link. As for removing and re-adding the account, I have done that multiple times, to no avail. I have tried force-stopping and clearing the cache of Google Services Framework, as suggested in the thread, but now, I get a connection error merely trying to add a Google account to the device... I even did a factory reset, but I still can't add a Google account, as if the Google Services settings hadn't been reset at all.
EDIT: I just realized that the reason I got a connection error after the factory reset was not being connected to Wi-Fi. However, after clearing the cache and data of Market, Google Services Framework and Download Manager, I get the same connection error while trying to add a Google Account, even while connected to a Wi-Fi network.
EDIT 2: I have rebooted the device, and now I'm back where I started. The error code is RPC:S-7:AEC-0 LOWQ-XYAM-M7MTS.
Any Luck? Same problem here with a stock A500 after a factory reset. I've tried two good google accounts. Getting "Google Talk Authentication Failed" and " Error retrieving data from server"
Hello guys,
I need some help with my Lenovo K4 Note Vibe (3GB RAM version). The thing is it started popping up random "Unfortunately xxxx stopped working" a couple of weeks ago. That specific app would just crash and restart itself. It can be a system app or game or any random thing (GUI, Contacts, Messaging, Angry Bird and other games etc.). It would usually gets solved on by restarting the phone or stopping the app from setting or on it's own.
Now the problem I have is, I gave it a restart and now it just shows "Unfortunately Notification Center Has Stopped". I have two option "Okay" and "Try To Resolve" none of them does anything except the error goes away for a second or two and pops back up. I can not even see the usual "Enter you PIN" screen. Yes I was using Fingerprint so I had to enter the PIN every time I restart the phone. So now basically I'm stuck at startup screen without any options. The phone is alive I can tell, I can feel it vibrate when I call, hear messaging tones (whatsapp/text). If connect it with PC when turned on, I can see a Lenovo Folder option to browse but its empty since it requires the phone to be unlocked first with pin.
The mobile belongs to my sister and she is dentist by profession and have lots of important data including some research she did (photos) for journal she publishes in national magazines.
How do I get past this error ? I do not have root, I tried the recovery but it is a Chinese recovery and does not have an option to wipe catch partition. The phone was on latest version (Marshmallow) and there is nothing I can do to start it up. Tried booting in safe mode but still the same error.
There is an option to see basic details in Chinese recovery, it shows
Model No. A7010a48
Build Time : 2016 12 27 14:35:36 CST
Kernel Ver. 3.18.19+
Android Ver.: 6.0
along with various other details.
How do I save my data ? Can I recover it anyhow ?
1. Try wipe data and factory reset
if not solve
2. Use SP Flash tools to flash stock rom.
If you have unlocked bootloader, then you can try to flash/hotboot into twrp recovery as it shows all files and folders in pc while connected in recovery mode.
Even if the bootloader is locked, there is no harm in trying.

Bootloader is locked. And there was no custom recovery flashed, every recovery flashing method I searched required for data to be wiped and bootloader unlocked so I`m stuck on that front.

Like I mentioned in post, the data is important, I could throw away the hardware I just need data.
I`m looking for a method to wipe catch partition without getting my data erased or to extract data any other way. Please do let me know if anyone have any solution at all, this is really really important.
Enable usb debugging
Use adb pull command to get the data.
Edit: nevermind, saw you can't unlock the phone.
Pretty sure if you flash twrp it will wipe data data partition as soon as you reboot. So I wouldn't do that.
Other option is do a full nandroid backup using adb but the only way you are gonna get that working is if you flash twrp and like I mentioned it's probably not a good idea but I'm not certain.
Another option is mtktools/spflashtool and do a full firmware backup from that, reset the phone and then restore from the backup, but I have no experience in that but it should work in theory.
Do you see the error even when there is incoming call? If not try from InCallUi i.e. when you answer the phone, try to navigate from that such as opening contacts, if there is a chance pull down notification bar and enter into settings. If any of these happen, it will ask to enter your pin and then you can unlock your phone. Now connect your phone to your pc and backup the data you need
If the data you seek are images, google photos should already backup your images to your google photos cloud account. Check this by signing in from your pc.
If they are media from whatsapp, don't worry, it will be backedup daily to your google drive account and all your messages along with your media will be restored after you install whatsapp again.
If they are Docs, then probably they are in gmail account (PROBABLY) you can always search for required ones in gmail.
Any other files from these cannot be restored if they are inaccessiblefrom your phone.
Suggestion: Maintain a cloud account which you feel safe and backup to that account so that you have no need to worry about the important files. **** like these happen every now and then.
Edit : These are gonna work if you checked the online backup or sync in respective app.
I have a set of Sprint Tab E devices that seem to be getting stuck in an activation loop. These were all used so I have no idea what the previous owner did with them. When I boot into download mode, it shows 0x0 by the Knox Warranty indicator so it appears the fuse hasn't been tripped.
The device turns on, goes into activation, says it needs to reset, wash rinse repeat. Any ideas on what could cause this and how I might be able to fix it?
I also have another set that appears to activate but does not connect to LTE. I think these have had the software flashed at one point because the home screen after factory reset has a different background than the ones I've had that were good. I have not tried flashing anything as of yet.
Thanks for any and all advice, direction, etc!
I have found a solution to the activation loop for anyone who needs it.
Step 1: Ask Sprint care to do an OMADM Refresh. It can’t be any other kind of refresh. Must refresh OMA specifically.
Step 2: Reset the activation on the device:
1. Go to Apps -> Calculator (By default, Calculator app is located in Samsung folder) then type (+30012012732+
2. Dial ##72786#
3. Tap Yes
The device will activate once more. May loop once as well. Then it will stop looping.
For the tablets not connecting to LTE, I reflashed the stock software to the tablet and they now activate and connect to data. This created a new problem with google play services. When I try to access any of the google apps (play store, gmail, etc.) I get an error stating that google play services has stopped working. I've tried all of the following:
1) Clear cache and data of both google play store and google play services.
2) uninstall updates of google play store and google play services.
3) clear cache of google play framework
4) download and install latest google play services (not even sure if it was the right one. Tried armeablev07 no dpi.
5) factory reset (this stuck me in the "checking for updates" stage on one with google play services constantly shutting down. won't be trying this again)
I am completely at a loss at this point. My next step is to try rooting the device and uninstalling google play services all together then reinstalling with a fresh APK then removing root and/or flashing back to stock ROM. My concern is that this will tick the knox indicator and i'd prefer to keep it intact if at all possible.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
For anyone that can understand this, here is the logcat file from when I attempt to sign in to the google play store. Any ideas what is happening here?

Hi!
I recently bough Oneplus 8T. I was using it for about 2 weeks. Everything stock, no modifications. Today (13 March, 2022) I unlocked bootloader ( and before entering fastboot to unlock the bootlader, I didn't manually delete google account from it). It worked OK. I booted into the same OS, logged in. Everything was working. Then I followed THIS guide to downgrade from OxygenOS 12 to OxygenOS11. I downloaded the Apk for local update, then downloaded the Downgrade package, inserted that package to this app, it loaded successfully and then I rebooted (again, I didn't delete Google account manually). It worked well: first it booted into recovery and wiped data itself, then rebooted again into OxygenOS 11. Now here's the problem. I connected to the Wifi, moved forward, and then I had a prompt "Verify PIN. Your phone was reset to factory settings. To use this phone, enter your previous PIN." The thing is, I'VE NEVER SET UP ANY PIN CODE. I WAS ALWAYS USING THE SAME PATTERN. But I noticed "Use my Google account instead" below this message. I thought, "thanks God". I clicked that, I entered my gmail, my password ( I'm using only 1 gmail, I've never had any other gmail). I logged in to Google account successfully, but it says "Please sign in using one of the owners accounts to continue" and jumps back to the google account login prompt. Well, I am the only owner, because It's brand new phone, I also use only one gmail, so I couldn't missmatch accounts. In this moment, my phone is just useless piece of metal and glass. I can't use it. Can anyone help me please? Thank you in advance.

[EDIT] Google is so smurfing smurf. They just make noobs like me go crazy, and get heart attack, in fear of loosing phone. All I did was followed THIS video, which uses "exploit" to enter chrome-> settings -> disable google play services, and then you can log in normally, and factory reset within system, which removes google account properly. LOL
