Hi,
Is there anyway to disable the "close all" selection when you press the recents button on the S7. I find that I accidentally press it every now and then and would like to be able to remove or disable it.

Pretty sure you could only do that with a custom ROM. I'm not aware of any button setting and I've even tried the Nova activities (which gives access to some hidden ones, like audio processing during a call).
I am rooted. I was hoping there was a quick way to do it by editing some code.

Hi guys, i recently bought note 3. I have already disabled home button - s voice short cut. I am wondering is there any way i can set some shortcuts like, double click of home screen will take me back to previously used app or to any specific app.
Thanks

I remeber on my old S2 that there was an application probably called home button or something like that. It allowed to change this shortcut. Now i sold it. Go check it in there. Search for it.
I'm not sure you can do it with the stock launcher. But I know with nova launcher you can assign the home and menu button to certain actions.

If its possible with any launcher app, then there would be some way to customise the home button.

Hello,
it's hard to get used to the new button configuration when coming from an S3.
But I have some apps, that don't show a menu at all and though, they are useless.
The free/old Tapatalk app, which I prefer is amongst them. (So I write this on my s3, as I can't write a post on the s5)
My question is: Is there a way to assign the menu to a key. For example long press on home?
thanks in advance

OMG.
thank you
So I got an app and there is no dedicated settings button in it and I was thinking if there is on the phone a way like long press or double tap a specific key to open the settings menu like the note 3 had a settings button instead of the recent app.
I really need to go in the settings otherwise I can't use the app if someone knows a way how to it!
Thanks
Long press back key to get to the settings menu.

Thanks but unfortunately it doesn't work, it closes the app and opens the settings menu of Nova launcher..

Have you tried it on some other launcher?

I am not a big fan of giving Google its own button when I have a google search bar on my home screen and can just say "ok Google"
On my Note 4, I was able to program long press "home" to link to a shortcut - all I had to do was disable s-voice and i was prompted to select an action. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to do this on the S7 Edge.
For what its worth, the app shortcut I run is called "last app switcher" that allows you to toggle back and forth between two apps (very useful for apps that do not support split display). It even ignores the home screen, so you can go App1, home screen, app2 and then use long press home to get back to app1.

Only problem is the phone might slow down and get chuggy if you enable any accessibility options.
This stupid phone takes pictures all the time. Figured out if you press the volume key while the phone is locked it takes a picture. Please tell me how to stop this.

Assuming you're on stock rom, go to device Settings and look for Shortcuts. I'm using a custom rom and I forgot under which exact menu option you can find the hardware button Shortcuts settings but it's there, along with other power and volume button preset shortcuts that you can disable.
Thank you so much
