Hi, friends I have a L09 mate 8 from mexico (Iusacell) I did a nandroid backup of the original software then I installed rom kangvip slim b323, now I want to restore my original software because I was getting 7 hrs of SOT now only like 4 hrs, the problem is that i have tried several methods to do it and I can't when I try to flash 2.8.7 twrp that I used to make the backup it doesn't enter to twrp, if I restore the backup with twrp for emui 4.1 the mate stays in the warning screen and doesn't boot, I flashed a b133 rom, didn't boot, so I am kind of frustrated, so If someone can help me please it would be a big favor.... thanks a lot
best thing to do is to boot phone in huawei erecovery, install latest stock rom and then go from there with unlock bootloader, flash twrp 2.8.7 and restore ur backup

The problem is I can't find my firmware and when i triel to install the erecovery it only show me download and update recovery, reboot and shutdown : (
You have installed Stockrecovery?
thats the stock recovery ure describing. booting into erecovery should be via pressing both volume rockers as well as the power button, if i recall correctly...

Depends on where you made it. Either internal memory or external SD.
If you didn't specifically make a Nandroid yourself it's nowhere to be found though...
emui 4.1
tienes instalado emui 4.1 o tienes el 4?

Custom ROMs are awesome! But sometimes, you need to get back to stock MIUI. But you cannot directly flash the MIUI rom. Eventhough, if you have made a backup of stock miui, you ll face problems while restoring back from marshmallow based custom roms. You will get an error as " extractTarFork() process ended with ERROR 255 ".
Dirty Solution:
In TWRP, mount all partitions
Go to restore, and untick only "firmware"
Restore everything; and wipe cache, dalvik cache
Reboot system
Clean Solution:
Now from above solution eventhough you ll come back to miui, but while updating through updater app, you ll not be able to flash the OTA files. This happens only on some devices. If you are facing this, you need to follow all the above steps of dirty solution. Additionally, download fastboot rom, and flash using "Flash all", which will wipe your data and internal sd card data too.
Press Thanks if i helped you

This tutorial works 100%fine if any1 wants to go back to miui from cm13 based roms.but all u need to have is a twrp alka backup of miui ..
Yeah. Alka backup is required
How about we don't have miui backup to restore? Can I flash any miui fastboot ROM via miflash?
I have Unofficially unlocked boadloader with CM13 radio.
I have no problem with restore miui backup. But I am not able to flash ota updates. While flashing its opening twrp recovery and I have flashed it manually, but showing error.
Hey guys, today is was playing a game on my phone. And then suddenly it shutdown, and now only boots to recovery. If i try to boot it from the recovery to the system, it still goes to recovery.
Is there a why i still can get in to my android firmware?/ stop the reboot to recovery?
I hope you all can help
What I would recommend you is to reinstall the ROM.
Assuming that you have TWRP just download a .zip and install it from there wiping data before doing anything.
If you do not have TWRP it can be a bit more tricky. You can unlock the bootloader (if you have not done that before), install TWRP and then reinstall the ROM.
Also you can always use SP Flash Tool to reinstall a ROM

Without PC....
1)Flash stock recovery(search it in xda) by rashr/flashify/t.w.r.p.
2)Rename the ROM file by "update.zip" and place it in the root (best is outside of any folder)of internal memory.
3)reboot in stock recovery.
4)wipe user data (not all data )
5)select update.zip from stock recovery.
I flashed miui ROM by this process many time .But. It is best to flash miui ROM by fastboot..
I tried to flash stock recovery but it stucks on mi logo while flashing through flashify

Did u try it from here.It always work with me.Or you have to search for a compatible stock recovery with ur model for flashing global miui ROM(without PC).
I tried this but it didnt workd
easy..!! flash twrp whichever build you were on.. reboot to twrp, wipe system, data, caches then flash miui8 any official build, you may get error 7 then go back and mount everything choose reboot to recovery again and flash miui8 this time it will be installed showing flashing firmware.
do caches wipe then reboot. done..!!

Stable MIUI, without Computer, Use Xiaomi.eu ROM for your device, they are zip which can be flashed easily with twrp 3.0 !! It's Pure MIUI with some more feature, also it gets update every Friday.

Install TWRP 3.1.1-0 and then restore your backup - worked for me! On 3.2 are errors while flashing or restore a backup - hope it will be fixed soon.

Yes, you dont need to reflash you phone - flash twrp 3.1.1-0 via image install in twrp and reboot recover, then you're on 3.1.1-0

Thx again
Hi!! In the first place sorry for my english
I would not write about this bug that has been talked about so much talk if I was not desperate.
I have the x727 and although I have updated the last twrp (I have also tried rest of twrp versions), I've done the full wipe and format data and later i have flashed the backup twrp 19s and then the firm 20s of 40mb I can not get out of error 7 when trying to update the DotOS rom.
I have also tried the same process with the backup twrp stock of the 21s that circulates by xda and nothing.
My theory is that I am stuck in a Chinese firmware because it is in Chinese both when booting and in the fastboot (the system is in English) but I do not understand how it is possible that when restoring the twrp backup I would have to return completely to the usa rom. What do I do wrong?
Greetings

The Chinese is just a splashcreen no big deal, if you have Chinese during boot, its just the boot-animation. Again no big deal. Both can be replaced.
I posted firmware and boot animations on my Recovery post...they are at the bottom.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75021582
Use the google animation and the Red boot screen: Personally, I consider those to be the best.
You should be using this TWRP: https://dl.twrp.me/zl1/
