Yes it will.
Good luck!
Have a great day

I´ve just installed the Firefds Kit and i don´t know what option I´ve have to change to disable the advanced reboot menu. The only one I see is in System/Enable advanced power menu...
If I activate it, it change the advanced reboot menu that cames with the custom rom with another advanced reboot menu... I want to have the original one...that only have Power Off , Reboot and Emergency Mode.

Help me please!

PLEASE HELP ME ! I AM WORRIED
Were you on a Custom ROM, or rooted and had a Custom Recovery? In that case, simply power on your phone using Vol Down + Power Key, Reboot into Recovery (Press Power Button after highlighting the Recovery option), and simply reflash your ROM, and, in the future, be sure to read the fine print of apps.
Should be s-off. Or atleast rooted with custom recovery. Otherwise writing to system/fonts and the issue will not be AFAIK.

If u can have new custom rom. Then put the zip file on memory card and reboot to recovery. Explore it. First wipe data and factory reset. Then select install zip from sdcard. Then choose zip fron sdcard and select the file. That's all.

Follow this to reinstall your ROM after wiping. Ignore the part which tell you to take a Nandroid Backup and Titanium Backup because you dont want to take a backup of a ROM that isnt working.

Help Flashing Split View by Bigfau

I am wanting to install the LG G Flex Split View mod by Bigfau on my rooted LG G2 but I do not know how to "Flash in recovery and reboot."
Can anyone help me through this process? I was reading up on the flash guide here on the forum and saw that I needed a custom recovery installed before flashing. Is this really needed to just add the split view feature? If so, how can I go about doing this?
thx

yea, unfortunately, a custom recovery is needed to flash any mods or zips. It does not work with stock recovery. The only thing you can flash with stock recovery is a rom, but since you need gapps and so on for the rom to work properly, you need a custom recovery.
I find TWRP the easiest recovery to work with, here's the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449679
There is no need for custom recovery... Use the Flash Gordon app from play store. All you need is root and busybox. You can flash zips but not ROMS..

Hmmm, two different answers. Thanks for the quick replies though.
I don't think I need any roms, I am just trying to take the zip file mod in the link and get it working on my stock LG G2. I know it will work on the stock Verizon phone, but I have no idea how to do the flashing.
If I use an app from the play store, I read that it may, "lack the ability to wipe the Dalvik cache (affecting the JIT compiler)." Will this be a problem for me?

I'll go ahead and try it out later today. I am not against installing a custom recovery if it is useful later. But I don't plan on installing any custom roms ever. Is there any use for a custom recovery outside of custom roms that cannot be accomplished by Flash Gordon App?

The ability to backup your device (make a NANDROID, as it is called). If you have a rooted device and intend to mess with it, I would say that a nandroid backup is a must . The good thing about a nandroid, something which Titanium Backup can't is to restore the whole system and boot. On the other hand, you might find some apps missing, so it's best to back up apps though Titanium Backup and your system/boot etc through Custom Recovery.
Oh and by the way, please tell me how the split-view thingy works once you have done it

I wish you a smooth, error-free process
Did not work with busybox + flash gordon. Seems the .zip contains some system files which are not able to be edited through flash gordon. I'll try to install a custom rom then I guess.
Will installing a custom recovery via this method work?

To set split view whiich works wonders wen modding phones ? you have to set one of your nave bars to open it mine is set as the back button. Long press is why you just press the front nav bar in stead off tapping it. Correct me if im erong but i think you must also be running xposed installer with one of the g2 settings apps found in the playstore. I flashed split view using flashify and it works fine munis not being able to use the knock feature wen engaged.

I do not have xposed and holding down the back button launches the program for me.
The program works after installing it from recovery in TWRP, but after installation, I pressed wipe cache and it was in the process when my phone screen turned off. I couldn't get it to turn back on, and eventually just held down the power button for 10 seconds to get it to boot normally. It works now, but what can I do to avoid that happening again?
That im not too sure about wen i wipe my chace and dalvik it completes the action and just romdomly cuts the phone off. When ever your wiping i say the best thing to do is just too make sure you have a back in cases something goes wrong

Change '"Menu" button to "Recents".

Hello guys,
I installed G2 Xposed module to change some things on my G2.
After the installation and first reboot my "recents" button (it was by default) changed to "menu" button.
Is there a way to change it back to "recents"? It really drives me crazy i can't find any solution.
My Rom has an option to change button combination but it always FCs (Since forever).

[GUIDE] How to install Xposed on OxygenOS 3.5.3 w/TL;DR

Prerequisites:
Make sure your bootloader is unlocked
Make sure you are rooted and have latest SuperSU installed
Make sure you have the latest TWRP installed as your recovery
Once the prerequisites are complete you may proceed at you own risk.
Download Xposed 3.1.1
Apkmirror link
Install Xposed 3.1.1 FIRST
(Do not flash Xposed first or you might bootloop!)
Download the uninstaller (xposed-uninstaller-20160829-arm64.zip) from here.
Direct link
Download the installer (xposed-v87-sdk23-arm64.zip) from here.
Direct link
Transfer the files downloaded above to your phone if downloaded from PC.
(Skip this if all files have been downloaded from your 1+3t)
Reboot to TWRP
(Press the volume up button at boot, scroll down with volume down to "Recovery", press power to select.
Flash xposed-v87-sdk23-arm64.zip
Wipe cache and Dalvik cache to be safe.
Profit! :good: You now have Xposed, but remember, with great power comes great responsibility.
TL;DR for experts:
Get root and TWRP
Install Xposed 3.1.1
Flash xposed-v87-sdk23-arm64.zip
Keep the arm64 uninstaller in case any module(s) misbehave.
Troubleshooting:
If your phone is thrown into bootloop after installing/activating a new module, simply flash the uninstaller downloaded above.
If you guys would like to see a list of modules that work, let me know!
Big thanks to Rovo89, OnePlus and XDA
Here are the modules I use:
Amplify: Battery enhancements
Assistant Enabler: Google Assistant, not just for the Pixel
DisableFlagSecure: Screenshots everywhere
FingerprintEnabler: use fingerprint to unlock after reboot or when a device administrator app locked the phone
GravityBox: Circle battery, center clock, hide Vibrate icon, double tap to sleep status bar, force media volume control.
Notification Slider by Seveilith: change the slider functions (only app that worked for me, others did not overwrite system settings)
RootCloak: hide root from most apps
SNAPPREFS: Snapchat with extras
Vibration Tuner: change the intensity of vibrations
Partial Compatibility:
Android N-ify: quicksettings are not modified, and white screen overlay appears at volume change but notifications do get N-ified (including direct replies!)
Modules I have tried but do not work:
Hide VoLTE Icon
NFCIconRemover
What do you mean by do not flasg xposed first or you might bootloop? You can flash xposrd first as well. But the best wah is always, Install from xposed app itself. No need of flashing anything manually.

My 1+3t bootlooped quite a few times while trying to install Xposed on it. Just giving a heads up and sharing the way that worked for me..
Thanks, that was indeed quite helpful !
I had quite some struggle with getting Xposed (based on systemless Magisk) to work without bootloops - without success.
With your instructions it worked out very nicely, albeit not systemless. But at least I have a working phone

Not all of those work with the 3t. The quicksettings have been modified so Android N-ify mod (for example) does not change them while still changing the notifications.

Not sure about this.I couldn't find it in the flash script.
AFAIK wiping cache/dalvik manually after the zip is required.

Root is working okay. No problems.
Here are the steps I followed:
1. turn off device
2. home+Vol. Down+Power -- get into download mode
3. start Odin 3.12
4. untick Auto-reboot
5. Install Twrp
6. After install => press Home+Vol/ Down+Power
7. At black screen => Home+Vol. Up+Power
8. In Twrp => Wipe -> Format Data -> Yes
9. Reboot into Recovery
10. Install Magisk
11. Wipe Cache & Dalvik
12. Install RMM pkg
13. Wipe Cache & Dalvik
14. Reboot System
15. After setup, check build.prop => ro.security.vaultkeeper.feature=1" change the value to 0.
16. Reboot device
17. Disable SecurityLogAgent pop-up
18. Download "CSC Features Expert for Samsung" on the Play Store (Free)
Launch the app and give it the root rights
In the search bar, type "DisableAntiMalware" (Without commas)
Click on the item and enter the value "TRUE" (Same)
Click on "Save"
Reboot
19. Fix Samsung Health
Download MiXplorer v6.22.1 HERE (Or any file manager of your choice if you're more familiar with it. I recommend MiXplorer because I use it everyday, it's lightweight, really nice to use, free and it's made by a great guy on XDA )
Access root partition and go into the "/system" folder
Open the file "build.prop" with a text editor.
Simply change the line "ro.config.tima=1" to "ro.config.tima=0"
Save the changes, and close the app.
Reboot.

So everything works fine except for the security stuff?
As for the new update, I installed it through OTA and I can't figure out what it changed. I'm guessing you can't do OTA anymore once you root? If so, are you concerned it could be an issue in the future?
Did you get the update installed successfully? What changed? Is it stable? My current firmware with the April 1 security patch is giving me great battery life and is quite stable so I'm hesitant to upgrade right now...

I have not upgraded yet. I do not want the RMM lock back (7-day wait). I suppose I can create a TWRP install with the lock app removed and the build.prop edited. I will look into it today.

I installed the update OTA, and I really don't know what changed even though it was over 200mb.
It is still Oreo 8.0, Samsung Exp. 9.0 and And. Sec. April 1. It does seem that the kernel and Samsung Security were updated.
Probably no connection, but right after the update an update to Good Lock became available.

I know this isn't the original topic, but there doesn't seem much feedback on this phone - and there's some activity on this thread ?
The one thing bothering me about the phone (otherwise I absolutely love it) is data drops to "H" during phone call, so I just tested (on T mobile) over 100mb/s download speed goes to .3 during phone call - any fix?
Best way to flash new firmware and not get stuck waiting 7 days is to make sure odin doesn't auto reboot after the flash. Once it done flashing disconnect the phone and go back into download mode (do not reboot) and flash the twrp and root that you are using. Boot into recovery and wipe cache then reboot.
