Best Stable ROM right now? - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've tried Resurrection Remix for 5 days. Had bad luck. Which is better Bliss pop or CM13 or something else? Let me know please

If u want something that work perfect for this device and have less issues and bugs than any other rom then you must try XTRESTOLITE 2.2 rom (android 5.0) .. I've been using it since a year and everytime i try another rom i always ended up go back to it ..

CM 12.1

I have used CM 13 for a while now, not very stable I should say. I haven't tried Blisshop, but CM 12.1 seemed very stable to me.

Yes, thats the question. There should be "test lab" with 9 GS2 phones with different ROMS's installed.
Anyway: "what is the best ROM" is what XDA is all about. Try and give us feedback.

Idk if I want cm 12 or cm 12.1 and I'm looking for stock android with good battery
I don't know if this helps, but I get about 24 hours of battery on CM 12.1. Although, I don't use a lot of apps and close out of them when I am done with them.

the only difference of 12 and 12.1 is the support of xposed framework, In my humble opinion, try the cm12, it's smell and stable than cm12.1

Sorry but xposed works on both cm 12 and 12.1, still experimental but it corks...
If I may advise, 12 is more mature and there are still much bugs on cm12.1 that differs from rom to rom, one is Bluetooth, one is calls, the other is mms .... Personally I tried them all and every new build and I always back to xstrestolite .... I hate the TW interface and behavior but I still can't find the perfect cm rom for klte ...

I'm on cm 12.1 and it just seems laggy. Also the animations are kinda slow. And MMS is like flipping a coin. And the screen on time is delayed might govback to cm 12

Hard to find an AOSP rom without lot of bugs. All my respect to all devs for all their efforts but definitely this is my last Samsung phone. It makes me regret my Nexus 5 every day. Can't even find a 4.4.2 decent AOSP rom.

Hi,
There is no CM-based ROMs that really stable and bug-free. I would stay on GearCM-based ROMs with some tweaks. But, I will let you choose based on your desired taste.

You probably won't find many or even any builds of RR past today's one. TheStrix has shifted to working on Android Nougat. RR is pretty stable mind you - if you look hard you might find the odd glitch or a crash that's hard to reproduce. Rare though. Likely the same sort of experience from the official CM builds, just without the RR features patched in. They're both maintained by him.
A good option for long-term support would be the xiaomi.eu MIUI builds... basically stock kenzo software without the superfluous MIUI stock apps baked in. It gets weekly patches.
Wish I'd tried more AOSP ROMs, there's likely some perfect vanilla android builds on here.
