Missing Calendar entries

Anyone else missing calendar entries on their tab? I have a t-mobile tab and the calendar app sync'd all my calendars the first time but subsequent syncs causes all the entries in one of my gmail calendars to disappear. Anyone know where there may be a sync log of some kind? The same calendar syncs on my vibrant and shows entries.

Strange thing, I tried making a new entry in that calendar and it syncs and shows up on my phone but entries made on that calendar on other devices do not show up

Syncing Facebook with contacts: some dont work??

im trying to sync FB contacts with my regular contacts list. now, on Froyo there was a menu item to sync with FB. but now, on Gingerbread, that option is gone. most of my contacts are synced but some people who have different FB names, FB wont sync them and i cant do it manually. any way to do this??

i figured it out, disregard. in edit contact you need to select "join" then loacate their FB page. slow and silly, but it worked.

yes. at first, FB synced like 95% of my contacts but left some not synced. i had to figure our how to manually sync them. you have to go into edit contacts, then "join" contacts to another contact (the FB one) then save it. more steps than it was on Froyo, but it worked.

I think this may solve the issue I'm having. Thanks.
I noticed I can't add any additional info to a facebook contact. I'm guessing the only way around this is to create a new contact and then join them?

Does this also update pictures as well? I see that fb has sync contact info but not pictures. Any insight is helpful.

Gmail Sync

For some reason the Gmail and Xoom email apps will not sync with all my Gmail contacts. Some contacts don't show. All are available through the Gmail website interface.
Any suggestions?

Are you sure you haven't got a filter active in the contacts app on your Xoom? By filter, I mean "View only contacts with email", "View only contacts with a phone number" etc.

clear out your data for your g-apps then turn sync off and on.
somethings on your web calendar won't synce like hockey schedules that wereadded anything you manually added will

Thanks! I'm lucky I spotted this thread! My gmail stopped auto syncing yesterday too, have Google maybe changed something? Anyway, I deleted my gmail data and everything works now.

Sincronize outlook's calendar with google's calendar?

Is there a way to make google's calendar show the appointments I save on my outlooks calendar? I couldnt make it work , I even tried downloading outlook's mail app but I still couldnt make it work

I believe he is looking for an option of syncing Outlook calendar to Google calendar - which looks possible with the same app mentioned above (changing the direction of sync in settings should make it work)

I thought I was doing something wrong but apparently you have to do some tricks to get it to work

Try Gsyncit. I use t to sync my Outlook work calendar with my Google personal calendar.

Pretty sure you can just sync your Exchange account to your phone through the Gmail app and it will import appointments to Google Calendar. For shared calendars you'll need an app though. I spent a week or so searching for a way to do it without an app but the only way I found that works is Team Calendar Sync. Here is a link.

EVO Collaborator
You can do this with EVO Collaborator for Outlook plugin for sure, because I also have this for syncing all my mail services.
After Google Calendar Sync software stopped working, this plugin still made it possible.
I can't add links yet you can google for EVO Mail Server and find their website. The trial is fully functional for 1 week and free.

You can sync Outlook's calendar with Google's calendar without any third app the trick is adding your Outlook account when you are on the setup wizard (after you add your Gmail account) but you need to select the second option, don't remember how says Outlook or Exchange. Good luck!

If you don't have Exchange you can sync to Google Calendar through MailCal. Beautiful OWA client that looks almost like Exchange. Well worth the money.
