I own a Zenfone 5. I rooted my ZF5 and installed CM 12.1 with double tap and TWRP by TEKCAFE TEAM (Ver 2.6.3.0)
Earlier this morning I tried installing XPOSED Framework SDK22 X86 and things went bad. I'm not stuck at the boot screen.
When I try to go into recovery and wipe cache, Dalvik cache and data the following message appears:
E :unable to mount '/spare'
E :Unknown action 'screenshot'
What should I do now? The battery's draining fast (as shown in top at TWRP)
Should I wipe system? If i do that, how can i reinstall CM 12.1?
I'm a newbie and have no idea absolutely!
Since I can't boot into system, I'm not able to enable usb debugging and am not able to enter fastboot in adb as when i type adb device, it shows 'list of devices' only.
Please help!

im not sure how to fix you adb-sideload, but im sure you can still use fastboot. I'd suggest you go back to stock via fastboot, and install custom roms after that.
If adb sideload isn't working, it is usually a driver problem or you failed to start adb sideload on the device... Try using some of the driver installation tools and tips from Wugfresh's toolkit, using the "stock" adb drivers can be problematic for some people in fastboot.
As long as fastboot is working, just flash TWRP and sideload from there (sometimes it works better than the stock sideload), if that fails, return to stock and don't wipe internal storage until AFTER you flash the ROM this time.
Hi Folks, I was trying to install a custom firmware so I install TWRP and when i tried to swipe cache, dalvik, etc i started getting these errors.
I also want to add that I have flashed a boot.img somewhere between the steps, can this be the problem (and solution)?
I can enter into recovery mode but i cant install a new firmare and i cant remount these folders. Any suggestion?
PS: Could I do it from the TWRP Terminal?

Extract the folder on desktop ,hold shift and right click, open commands window there,
Now connect ur fone in droidboot mode and type these commands one by one
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase data
fastboot erase cache
Also, try flashing the recovery again... hope it may help...please lemme know..
I want to unroot my phone and I did manage to flash stock recovery.
But now I want to flash stock firmware through adb sideload.
But when I typ adb devices it does not recognize my device and when I type the sideload command, it says error: device not found.
I am using minimal adb fastboot version 1.4.2.
I already tried to use all the different kinds of drivers @ device manager
I am really out of idea's and hope someone here knows what to do.
Edit:
When I use TWRP recovery and I use sideload, adb can recognize my device (and fastboot can also recognize my device).
So only through stock recovery adb cannot recognize my device.
And I remember that USB debugging is off, I do not know if that has to do something with this?

For the stock recovery, Side load Works.
But only Side load, not "adb devices".
After you have selected Side load from stock recovery,
(Boot in stock recovery,
Select your language, -> install from usb -> yes )
Only after this, your device will show in "adb devices"
It will show as Side load device. Then Side load as usual., It will work.
P.S. - USB debugging is not checked in recovery mode.

Sorry for late reply!
I did what you said, but I get this error:
error: device '(null)' not found
And when I select install from usb -> yes, Windows notify that there is a problem with the device and cannot recognize it.
What drivers must be installed, OnePlus drivers and ADB drivers?
Does someone know how to fix it?

The problem is stock recovery that you Install does not work well in windows 10
1 Boot in bootloader install TWRP again here
2 Reboot in TWRP Recovery
3 Wipe> Advance Wipe> Select Dalvik & Cache System & Data> Swipe to Wipe
4 Reboot in TWRP Recovery Transfer OOS 4.5.8 Full Rom Zip to the device over MTP
5 Install Menu> Select OOS 4.5.8 Full Rom Zip> Swipe to Flash
6 Reboot System
Now you are in full stock OOS
If you restart now in stock recovery you will see that sideload will work
Adb sideload with stock recovery not work in Windows 10, if you use Windows 7, you'll find that it work well.
The problem is stock recovery from the official site
This OP5_recovery.img
If you are in TWRP and install OOS stock rom sideload will work in windows 10
Had driver issues to what j did was with twrp installed I transferred the Oxygenos rom to internal storage installed it from twrp and then put the OnePlus recovery back on
Hi,
My devices is stuck on Mi logo, it was not Bootloop, it cant reboot to EDL, sometimes my devices can go to Fasboot mode but sometimes cant, while in fastboot mode I check in the Device drivers section theres no Qualcomm blablabla but the only available is Android Bootloader Interface and when I try to flash my phone via Mi Flash Tool I cant because my devices is not detected, What should I do? :crying:
1. My device is already unlocked
2. Before this I was flashing RR, and it was just fine, then I try to boot to my TWRp but it seems I cant, then I install TWRP and it just works fine, then I want to flash new rom, then I qipe dalvik cache, cache, system, and data then it shows error "partitions blablabla" then I try to factory reset in TWRP, its done its job, then I try to flash the new rom but when I pick "sdcard" (internal storage) it was blank! then I check "sdcard1" (external memory) it was blank too! then I just reboot (it says no OS installed, I just swipe then it stuck on MI Logo).
3. I have tried some tricks to recover it but It cant! (I still didn't tries deep flash cable or either test point method because I don't know how to do that)
4. My devices Is Detected when I typed "fastboot devices" in cmd but not detected in MiFlash Tool.
Please how do I fix this problem?? please help me as soon as possible!!
Thanks.
Help me!
Please someone answers me! :crying:
Since your device is showing in fastboot, flash TWRP again from fastboot. Copy ROM and GApps to external SD card and boot into TWRP. Wipe dalvik, cache, data, system, and internal storage. Flash new ROM, GApps reboot.
If you get any errors while wiping partitions then format the partitions to f2fs or anything then again back to ext4.
Hope this helps!!!
Cheers ?

Yeah. This is not a hard brick. You can also reflash miui from fastboot. Extract that tgz file of miui and click on one of the batch files.
Firstly, I would like to thank @karthick mostwanted for his work and a thumbs up for keeping Lineage OS updated.
I have an Indian Unit of X2 Pro with 128 Gigs of RAM and I got the ROM working with FP and the payment apps at once. Everything works good here. Only thing which I did not like is the camera, so I'm using PixelPlus GCAM on this ROM.
Coming to the steps (assuming ADB & Fastboot drivers installed) -
1. Unlock the Bootloader. For the same Install the In Depth Test app (pm if you do not get the links for the app on Google) and apply. After a successful review message on the app, use the following commands.
adb reboot bootloader (For reboot into fastboot mode)
fastboot flashing unlock
Select the confirmation dialog on the screen and its done. Then type fastboot reboot for the phone OS to boot. It will erase all your data too.
2. Next step is to install TWRP img file by Mauronofrio (Google it). Download vbmeta.img also, you will get in LOS thread downloads section. Copy the recovery file and vbmeta into the ADB folder where the powershell/cmd is running so the you can fetch it. Reboot into the fastboot mode and give the following command.
fastboot flash recovery recoveryfilename.img
DO NOT REBOOT YET. Immediately type fastboot flash --disable-verification vbmeta vbmeta.img and enter. Don't reboot, with help of Volume and power button combination, boot directly into recovery. Remember, do not reboot phone in any other mode or even the present OS because it will wipe the recovery installed.
3. Format Data. (Don't Wipe, Use FORMAT DATA Option). Wipe Cache & Dalvik.
4. Keep the Files in a USB Storage such as Lineage OS, Magisk 20.3, Open Gapps Nano ARM 64.
5. Insert the USB drive through an OTG and go to TWRP mount option and mount external storage. It will start showing files. Now go to install and select OS. Wait, don't run now. Add Gapps to the same queue and then run.
6. After successful installation, wipe cache and dalvik and reboot your phone.
7. After you setup everything, again boot into TWRP recovery and install magisk 20.3.
You are done and all set !
Note - Do not remove/uninstall system apps using root access in LOS, it may break. Happened with me when I tried to uninstall DuckDuckGo, it went into bootloops.
Will be happy to answer any doubts for this installation. Comment below if you need further help !
