XtreStoLite 3.3.1 and Hacker Kernel. I have a great mix between performance and battery life. I used Syanpse to tweak battery life and the profit is excellent.

XtreStoLite 3.3.1 and Mystery 3.0 normal use 3h on screen and 13h 11m battery
XstreStoLite 3.3.1 with stock kernel. Does the job for a daily driver. Looking for different kernel to get rid of the Knox-version in the "about"section. Always have been a great fan of Adam Kernel, but last time it didn't work any more... Just hoping and trying.

Nice.
But you can use Arter97 or Hacker Kernel and tweak them with Synapse to get better battery life.

Can you please mention here which tweak(s) we have to use with Synapse to get better battery life?
XtreStoLite 3.3.1, stock kernel.
4h to 4:30 SOT in 20~22h total battery usage.
I'm also running the phone on 720x1280 resolution (320 dpi) because sometimes I game for extended periods
I'm also really curious about arter97's kernel but, for now, imma stick with stock.

So you're thinking about trying Arter's kernel..
I recommend using Hacker Kernel and tweak it with Synapse like what I did to get an excellent battery.
I'm not saying don't try Arter's kernel, no give it a try it's a great one but I just haven't tried it yet.

I still have no knowledge about CPU tweaking with Synapse, but I shall give it a try.
Also, I guess I can have an improvement by using the Power Saving mode (XtreStoLite makes it easier without that ugly grey statusbar).

So I take it the XtreStoLite is the "best" rom?
Asking as a noob to the S6 (and in general).
Currently running XtreStoLite - latest, with built-in kernel.

Thank you very much faux, nice to see you here on the Find5 forums, you are one of the best hands down! I have used your kernels in just about every device I own, and have purchased your apps, they are great.
Any plans in the future to do a 4.2.x kernel for us users who use custom roms?
5 stars for faux!!!
Edit Flashed Kernel - Everything is working fine on my device, no issues at all. Just to remind some people that may not know this kernel will not show the best synthetic benchmarks results but its a performer! It will perform just as good as any kernel that benches really high in benchmarking, so if your scores are not crazy high, don't worry, go read about why this is. Faux has a complete read up on why this is, the main thing is that your device will run smooth all around and you will get better battery life along with great performance. Just because you don't get 25000 when running an antutu or any other benchmarking test does not mean anything when it comes to this kernel, from my experience, its all about user performance with faux's kernel. Thats my experience anyways.
Thanks again faux!!!

Anyone has a good color balance using this kernel? I kind of like a bluish white
Hello guys.. So i have been using moto g 2014 model for a couple of months now and i have been absolutely liking this phone.. Here is my experience with different roms.. I have tried different roms like cyanogemod 13 and dirty unicorns etc in the marshmallow side and when lineage os 14.1 came out i just switched to it.. It was an awesome rom but i was missing a lot of features that i was getting through xposed and all.. So i started thinking of changing the rom.. And after a couple of hours of research i decided to go with Ressurection remix.. I was very happy with the performance and the battery backup of the rom and then i thought of custom kernel and flashed the deciphier kernel and is working absolutely fantastic with this rom.. The kernel helped me tune the phone the way i wanted and also improoved the performance as well as the battery backup.. I also made a small swap file in so that i can get a little bit more performance out of the phone.. I use Roehsoft ram expander and is working great.. Then also i have installed Substratum and also a theme named art.. Its also working fine for me.. The phone is working absolutely fantastic and without any major bugs... Though, feel free to tell me your suggestions about other roms and kernels as am interested in checking other roms and kernels.. Thankss..
