I have Motorola Defy + ( Defy Plus, MB526) , and the power button is so hard to push it, but Functioning. I thinking , i want to repair it somehow or replace it, but idk where are i need to search it to find why Functioning so hard: The Power button, or under the power button?
Disassemble the phone and try to press the power button directly. If it will be pressed easily it means that the power switch is OK and you just need to replace the middle housing.

hi, recently damp got into my xda mini s and disabled all the button, after a while it thought that all the buttons were pressed down, so i tried dryin the device out and it seemed to sort everything out except for the power button, the device thinks that the power button is constantly pressed in so it will either switch the screen off or ask if i want to switch the device off. i was wonderin is there any way that i can completly disable the power button and use another button like the camera button to be the power button instead? many thanks

Hey bit of a problem..
my power button only works intermittently. To turn the device on i need to press another hardware button and THEN the power button. If i just press the power button it wont turn on.
The power button works fine to turn it off.
I cant hard reset for soe reason (gps + ex + reset)..ive tried installing a new ROM but it hasnt fixed the issue.
Any ideas?
It is probably the hardware. any water damage? have you drop it before?
I looked for similar topic but couldn't find it,I can't use power button on my hd anymore,it got broken beacuse of pressing it very often during day to turn the screen on and off...I was wondering if there is an application to assign power button function to home key so when pressing it the screen turns off and on?
Hi, having the same problem, POWER BUTTON is defect/broken, it doesn't have a resistance when I push it in. I can still switch the device on and off, but I have to press the power button hard and the power button does not feel spring loaded any more.
Are there more people having this issue and is there anybody haveing it send for warranty repair already?
Mine is a German O2 device.
Thanks

the strange is that the power + volume up together active the menu recovery, but than non work (vol. too)
and the warranty has gone few months ago, sometimes is less expensive buy a new one, but money and Portugal does mix in this last few times
I'm trying to goggle to find the hidden reset bottom but no luck until now
