I have a Galaxy S7 Edge SM-G935FD rooted and running SuperMan ROM v 1.4 Marshmallow. I'd like to have ADB or SSH access to the phone from an Ubuntu linux box, but after multiple attempts to set up same, I've discovered that ADB is not available with Marshmallow (http://www.tekto-kodi.com/kodi-news/marshmallow-android-6-removes-adb/), and I can't find an android sshd app in the Play Store that works with Marshmallow. Has anyone gotten this to work, and if so how? thx, Gus

Hello guys.
It's been some time I rooted any Android phone as I passed through several iPhone for work those last years. My last experience was rooting a nexus 5.
Anyway I'm back on Android with Samsung galaxy s7 edge.
I've having a hard time to find a working solid tutorial on rooting my Samsung.
Any suggestions for good threads or video tutorials?
Note that I'm on Mac OS Sierra already. It seems Odin isn't that compatible with this OS yet no?
Thanks in advance guys!
BTW I have the standard Samsung galaxy s7 edge sold without carrier subscription in Belgium.

Exynos or Snapdragon model?
For Odin, why not just use a Windows virtual machine with VirtualBox or VMware on your Mac? That's what I do with my laptop (Macbook Pro)

will the virtual machine recognize the Samsung driver and the Samsung in the USB port? Thought about trying this but haven't seen it tested anywhere yet. So just a virtual boot of windows like parallel desktop? Load Odin and root with recommended files?
Edit: I have the exynos cpu in Belgium.
Hi Guys
I've searched all over the internet and couldn't find an answer to this.. or maybe I'm not looking hard enough.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge SM-G935F rooted device. Exynos Octa 8890 2.60 Ghz
Android 7 Nougat
Superstock kernel
The problem is that I cannot play Marvel contest of champions anymore. Whenever I launch the game then just after the marvel logo a white block pops up and says "ms_id_sparx_error_unknown"
This happens when I download from the playstore, apk from the internet and mod apk.
I'm not sure if it's my phone, the superstock kernel or just because my phone is rooted.
Before I flashed android 7 the game worked perfectly. But my phone was not rooted at the time.
I rooted using the steps and files from xda website.
Then unrooted my phone and rooted with magisk to play Pokemon Go.
I saw some guy said to allow all permissions in settings and move the game to the ad card, but that didn't work.
Can you guys please help me to fix this problem.
Your help is much appreciated.
Hi there. I have a SM-G930A (AT&T model) running Android 8.0 Oreo with the August 22, 2019 Bootloader (G930AUCSACSH3). I'm trying to figure out if there is a root and unlock for this device so I can run Pie on it, while also being able to use Samsung Apps? My college will not let any devices on the network that are running any version of Android older that 9.0. So I am kind of stuck. I have limited data to use, and had previously used this as my daily driver. I don't have the money to go out and just pick up a new phone. Any help would be appreciated ASAP.
Does anyone know if it would be possible to run android as guest OS (like usermode linux but in android form) on the Samsung Galaxy S10+ (Snapdragon) G975U1?
since rooting is impossible, I thought a psudo-root having a guest OS running which is rooted would be a good alternative. I know the original OS would be running and the guest OS would also, this would affect performance, but I would be able to use the software in the guest OS as if it were a real rooted phone. Has anyone ever tried this? Would root be required initially to even set this up? Would an emulator work instead?
I would just buy a rootable phone but I am broke, always poor, unsure of when I might eat.
I received the Samsung Galaxy S10+ (Snapdragon) G975U1 as a gift. Technologically I know this is "Old" but it is very new compared to my rooted Galaxy S5 with LineageOS that it replaces.
