ZD551KL Bootloader locking - Zenfone 2 Laser Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey, since ZF Selfie doesn't have droidboot, would there be a way to re-lock the bootloader?
I mean, would flashing the original recovery/kernel/rom do the job?
Other zenfone devices require AsusFlashTool and a raw firmware, but that tool doesn't support ZF Selfie.
A few days ago I've got a a problem with my display, I believe it's called screen bleeding.
I heard of some guys that have sent their phones with an unlocked bootloader, but I think I shouldn't take the risk, and have my bootloader locked, so they wouldn't suspect that it's my fault.
Thanks in advance!

Much appreciated if some professional reply to this thread

QFuse

Guys, i apologize in advance for this, but I am still a bit confused as to the whole QFuse debacle. I searched but found various contradicting statements and hence started another thread in the hopes of solving my confusion as well as that of others. My doubts are -
1) Does the QFuse change irreversibly once you unlock the bootloader?
2) In case that it does not, will the QFuse return to original state upon relocking the bootloader or never change despite an unlocked bootloader?
3) Given that it changes with an unlocked bootloader and reverts to original state on relocking it, will the manufacturers warranty be hinged on the QFuse state? (I am asking this because I need to make sure if you can get a replacement for a hardware fault in case you run into one while on a custom ROM. In such a case you will be stuck with a hardware issue and you cant flash factory, like the infamous nexus 5 power button issue. I have previously been able to get a nexus 5 replaced while being rooted and on a custom ROM due to a hardware defect)
Thanks for any answers and hope this helps others as well.
Looks like you haven't searched enough. No debacle. seriously am not worried.

6gb RAM model and Rooting question...?

Hi Friends,
Very quick and simple question:
Is there a way to Root (and maybe Unroot) the 6gb RAM model WITHOUT unlocking the Bootloader?
I only ask because unlocking the Bootloader voids the ZTE 2 year warranty, and there is no way to reverse/relock it, correct?
Thanks for your responses!
Read the root without unlock thread and the newbie unlocking guide.
Thanks bud, so looks like it is possible to root without Bootloader unlock? How about going back to stock after root?
@lafester or some other helpful member, can you please link me to the pertinent thread that I could use to root the ENHANCED (6gb RAM model in the US)? Preferably, I'd like to root with the Bootloader unlocked too, ONLY if there is a way to return to complete stock, including relocking the Bootloader.
Simply speaking, I want to order the phone and try it, but am not sure if I'd be able to live with the camera performance and etc... I'd like to be to root and unlock Bootloader, if I can, but if I don't keep the phone, I'd like to return to complete stock. Can someone help? Thanks!
I gave you the threads already.
@lafester I am sorry bud, but I didn't see any links in your post. Also, any chance you could simply answer my question, if you have the knowledge ? Would deeply appreciate it. Thanks!

Camera NEVER worked again after unlock bootloader (even with re-lock).

Hello!
I'm starting to get worried because I'm not being able to get my camera to work again after unlocking my ZenFone 5 bootloader.
I'm also trying re-locking it but with no success.
Also tried many different ROMs.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
FOUND THE SOLUTION (for LOCKED bootloaders):
IT'S THE SKU.
I changed from WW to TW and now it works.
Hope it helps the community.

Any luck on rooting the ZenFone 3 Max 5.5 (ZC553KL)?

Been checking around XDA periodically for TWRP for this model... It seems the ZC520KL already has a solution, but this one hasn't. I figured the 5.5" Qualcomm version would get a root solution faster, but not yet. Is there any hope for this model before I start pulling out all my hair in sad, sad frustration? :'(
A question
Sorry if I'm in the wrong g spot but I'm wondering which model I fall under
Cups shows:
Board MT6737
Hardware MT6735
Phone Asus X008C_US Phone
Build MRA85K.US
Is this the one that is or is not unlockable boot loader and please direct me to the proper page if possible to follow the progress
Thank you
This is ridiculous zenfone 4 is out and zenfone 3 max zc553kl does not have a root method, nor official or anofficial, Asus is disappointing me, they need to give away free devices to developers, samsung has unlock for every model, what's wrong?

How to unlock bootloader and get TWRP?

Dear XDA Members and U Ultra owners,
I just recently purchased the U Ultra sapphire glass edition 128GB Dual Sim and I would really like to install the deodexed firmware with root that's available. However, in order to flash that firmware, I think first I'd need to unlock the bootloader and get TWRP? Is there a current guide on how to unlock bootloader and side load TWRP?
I'm familiar with the whole process just haven't seen a guide for this phone as of yet, or at least haven't looked well enough to find one. I thought I'd ask here and it would make it a little bit easier.
I have unlocked bootloader on many phones before and I was wondering if it's the same process for this phone... Do I have to unlock it through HTC Dev? And what about TWRP, where can I find it for this phone? The website? Or is there a custom build version for this phone since its not that popular?
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
So I guess I found out where to get the recovery from... Does this work with the dual sim version? https://forum.xda-developers.com/u-ultra/development/recovery-twrp-touch-recovery-t3558540
I guess the only thing left now is the bootloader. I could use some advice on that.

I managed to figure it out. I attempted to unlock the bootloader through HTC Dev website which was a fairly simple process as I've done this several times before. I'm just waiting on the email for the unlock.bin file and for some reason it's taking its time and I've not received it yet, been well over an hour. Odd isn't it? Or is this normal?
Now I guess my only question is the S-on/S-off.
I remember with HTC M9 and 10 you had to use sunshine to s-off. Is that also required with the u ultra?
Sorry, forgot to make an update letting everyone know that all of this was taken care of successfully, I'm currently rooted and on a deodxed 8.0 Rom with magisk and twrp. Everything going great!
hello and thank you for this monologue ...
I am on the site of HTC dev but in the choice of the phone there is no U Ultra, is it normal?
Would it be easy to tell me more about the S-off method, and more, please?
