This is specific to an App
Natwest UK banking app, just updated to enable fingerprint login.
But upon attempting to use it, the device detects its rooted and disables the fingerprint reader

Anyone know of a workaround? Xposed mod or anything? Root cloak does not work

Apart from the problem of the disabled fingerprint sensor, but after logging in using the passcode, would the app still completely work on a rooted device?
I'm interested on using the bank apps on rooted devices (before rooting mine...).

The App works fine itsself, you can login normally using the passcode.
Just they appear to disable the ability to login using your fingerprint.
I dont understand why, considering the Fingerprint is used across the device while rooted.
But you should be fine to login normally.

I can't use Pattern lock screen :(

Since installing the latest version of Omega(v33) for the i9505 I've been unable to use a pattern lock screen, instead the option is grayed out like below

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I haven't encrypted my device and there isn't any administrator set
I've attempted to clear credentials like below, but after clearing credentials the button (clear credentials) doesn't go grey.
And still can't set a pattern lock screen as described earlier
What's going on? How do I fix?

Well it's an app or a setting that is causing it. But it's hard to say what is causing it.
My suggestion would be to do a full wipe. That would be the easiest method.
Agree with the wipe
In my experience, something in the framework or security settings can cause that. Full wipe and if you are running some kind of AOSP lockscreen disable it. Also watch out for xposed modules that are tweaking your lockscreen.
Screen Lock
I had the exact same problem. Do you have an exchange email account for possibly work on your phone? The new upgrade will only allow for PIN or Password if you have an exchange account. I had a long, long wait with technicians before it was apparent.

Then dont connect to the internet until you get it fixed, you should be able to longpress the notificatio saying is downloading and itll tell you the app, find out ehat it is and disable/freeze it.

Is root necessary for this process to disable?
I rooted, installed Titanium Backup and used it to freeze these 3 apps........

I'm not sure which one controls OTA's but since I froze them, I've not had to worry about trying to stop them from happening........

Possibly Hacked via text message? Maybe stagefright?

I just got a text message from a text only number. A few minutes later, I was not able to use the fingerprint scanner to unlock my phone, and my PIN number did not work. The unlock method of my phone had also been changed to PIN number instead of fingerprint.
I had to use my google account to unlock the phone and set it back to fingerprint unlock. Also blocked the number from texting me. Any ideas? I assume it could be something like the stagefright thing, but what was odd, the text message was related to my work requesting a quote and was pretty specific, not general.
Seems the latest OTA already has the stagefright patched according to two different programs

If you scan your phone with the stagefright detector app, you will see you are still vulnerable to CVE-2015-3864

Yeah! Samsung released an update and my phone passes all the tests now, finally!

SafetyNet failing

So I went to setup Android Pay and got this message:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I wiped Android Pay's app data and same results. So I ran a SafetyNet test and it failed.
I'm obviously not rooted or bootloader unlocked. I remember it working before. Any ideas why it won't? Anybody else on G935TUVU2APC have this issue? I'm hoping I don't have to wipe my device via Odin and start over...
EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED. APPARENTLY USING THE CONDENSED DPI OPTION BREAKS IT. SWITCHING BACK TO STANDARD VIEW FIXES IT.

Did you happen to change your dpi?
Just through the Samsung hidden settings. Could that be it?

Wow, thanks, that was it. Lmao sucks but I guess if I use Android Pay I'll revert to the standard DPI. Good to know.

Mine is doing this too. The button is not a button that can by pushed or dragged, it doesn't seem to do anything.

It's weird, I haven't knowingly changed anything either. Just started doing this.

The Verizon rep fixed it it was something called integrated messaging on the account that had to be removed it's apparently a known bug that they're working on

to theprfct10..do you know what the verizon tech did to integrated messaging to fix the bs headache ?
this is known bug that they're working on. just need to wait for update
I don't know of a permanent solution, but if you go into setting and reset network it gets rid of it til the next system update.
