If the fingerprint is failing to construct, you need to extract the boot.img from the latest marshmallow update(better chance with full package, but you can also use ota) (b514 or b522) using huawei update extractor and flash using fastboot or flashify.
If you have root you will loose root.
Just flash the supersu 2.64 pro using TWRP, if you want to root.
hi bro please clear one thing i am on B511 and when i installed B522 TWRP backup from Chudy's post fingerprint was failing to construct so i reverted back to B511 TWRP back now please tell me that should i reinstall Chudy's B522 recovery of TWRP and then flast Boot.img? extracted from this file?

I'm trying not to be rude, but this is the 100th time I'm telling you "B514 is the final marshmallow for your region". If b522 was the final update for your region you would have gotten an ota update from 514 to 522, but you didnt, why? Because its the same update file but for different region. If you flash firmwares of different regions you will get problems. Now I dont want to another Im on b522 and this happened please help from you. Flash b514 and then try for solutions. All the best.

Some Updates can't be installed over the b136.
The german b170 (a partial update) needs the b132 or the b133 to upgrade to b170. Directly update from b136 to b170 isn't possible

You mean you downloaded stockrecovery.img form here
Code:
rootjunkysdl.com/files/Huawei%20P8%20Lite/Firmware/stockrecovery.img
? And then you startet the phone in fastboot mode with the command
Code:
adb reboot bootlader
? Last you send the command
Code:
fasboot flash recovery stockrecovery.img
?
I already regret installing TWRP since I can't even try to install further Updates via dload. So I just don't want to make any more mistakes and/or brick the phone.

Yes that's pretty much what I have done.

What are you trying to flash? Custom kernel? Stock boot.img?
Either the .img is corrupt/incompletely downloaded OR you have unlocked boot loader using unofficial method.
1. Download the boot.img and try again
2. If it still gives error, you do not have a proper bootloader unlock. Try flashing twrp that is confirmed working by you, to verify if bootloader is properly unlocked or not.

If you had spent enough time searching on xda, you would have got the solution. I posted a solution to this here http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-2-laser/help/unable-update-to-marshmallow-via-ota-t3389876 And the thread is marked "solved" which means it worked.
sziraqui said:
Apparently, your current recovery version does not match with your current firmware version. There are two possible workarounds-
1. Wipe system by executing "fastboot erase system" in fastboot mode. Then reflash latest official asus lollipop ROM. This will fix the recovery and firmware mismatch and you will then be able to flash MM via stock recovery.
2. If you are experienced with edit8ng updater-script, Extract all contents of MM ota. Open updater-script and remove all asserts and lines that say "abort". Then compress the contents again. (You can't edit without extracting coz zip is signed). Flash this modified ota zip via TWRP.
If you still can't flash it or you are unable to edit updater-script, pm me, I have downloaded the MM ROM, I will send you modified updater-script.
I can even convert this ota into .imgs so that you can flash directly via fastboot

alright, download the updater-script from attachment. Flash via TWRP.
Detailed instructions-
First extract entire ota zip. Delete the original updater-script.
Then extract "updater-script_modified.zip"
Copy the extracted "updater-script" to extracted ota at the right location. (META-INF/com/google/android)
Compress the ota files as a zip using 7zip or winrar. Compression level "normal" . DONT USE ANY ANDROID APP FOR COMPRESSING, USE WINDOWS/LINUX APP ONLY.
Flash the modified zip via TWRP recovery

custom recovery wont intall official ota updates.
custom recovery can install custom rom updates only.
its better to flash stock recovery and then unroot your phone to install the update through stock recovery.
---------- Post added at 05:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:50 PM ----------
NOTE:- Do not install the s230 update while your sd card inserted in the phone. Remove the sd card and then proceed. I installed the update as usual by keeping the micro sd connected to the device. After the update was installed the phone rebooted and gave me a notification saying damaged sd card. Though i fixed the sd card but i lost all the data of sd card.
I used the twrp How can ı update to s230 with twrp
twrp not working
It's not working with twrp. Flashed s208 row with twrp which have changed to stock recovery. Next installed s214 row. Then all updated fine. And my SD card is also fine.

Apologies for being off-topic! I faced a lot of issues in s230 update thus downgraded to s218 & now on s219. I am able to get adb to recognize my device but not fastboot. Therefore I am unable to unlock bootloader!
When I type in " adb reboot bootloader" or click on the "unlock_recovery.bat" file provided, I get booted into a dark screen where "fastboot" is written at the bottom left & the command prompt window says < waiting for device> & I am stuck there until I reboot my phone.
Can somebody tell how to get past this?

Flash original unrooted B560 via TWRP and wait for OTA.
Hmm I got OTA for L29C432B581 today but I'm on unlocked bootloader, rooted and on TWRP so I haven't tried to accept the update. As I understand it, it won't work to update given that I don't have stock recovery.

You need stock boot.img and system or the OTA will fail. Just download B560 full and flash it in TWRP, that will unroot, restore stock system, restore stock boot.img, restore stock recovery. Then you can install OTA without any issues (you do not have to lock your bootloader).

Did flashing both files work for you zappomax?
To answer my own question, i did a fresh install of 560 through twrp following this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/how-to-install-nxt-l29c432b560-official-t3540042 , but without installing rootfiles. After phone set up update to 581 was offered in system update. Tried to install (796 Mb update) but failed to pass verification.
After reboot in 'old' 560 connected phone to hisuite which offered me the full (2.2Gb) update to 581. This one installed without problems.
Rooted with Magisk afterwards.
My solution is to flash stock boot.img and update using hisuite..i was in 560 before..

Is it possible to just download the b180 update.zip and ...full_hw...zip, and flash? Instead of flashing the old b560 zips?
From 581 to 180 is a downgrade, so i guess you need to flash a downgrade package before you can flash 180 software.
boot loop after flashing boot.img, recovery.img, system.img, cust.img through fastboot. I also wipe data and cache after flashing
Okay, I want to switch from SuperSU to Magisk because I must have snapchat. I'm just trying to hide the root that way I can get signed in on snapchat but everytime I uninstall SuperSU without flashing the stock boot it is successful, otherwise if I try to restore stock boot from uninstalling SuperSU it fails. After I uninstall SuperSU without flashing the stock boot, I go to flash Magisk and it fails because it has already been patched. Unfortunately I'm still on the Nexus ROM. Also I tried flashing the B180 Stock ROM it gives off the same error in the AROMA installer saying that the boot image is already patched.
Please help I'm new to this!! Thanks
I'm using B160/SuperSU, so don't have your version.
Did you also try flashing the B180 boot.img from B180 zip in this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...uide-how-to-update-b130-to-b140-b150-t3555254
After flashing boot.img, immediately try flashing Magisk while still in TWRP.
I presume you have made a full backup before trying anything

So what I did was try installing the B180 stock rooted with Magisk and it booted up fine and Magisk was on there, but not functional. So I flashed Nexus again and the boot animation is the same as the B180 stock and before I have done all of this the Nexus boot animation what the google pixel animation. So you want me to take that boot.img in that thread and flash it because I never have. And the Nexus is B160 I would have to find a B160 stock boot.img right?
I'm not suggesting you do anything with B160 - just wanted to point out I'm not using B180 because my phone was all configured the way I like it (rooted, etc) and I don't want to risk breaking it updating to B180.
So yes, try the B180 boot.img you mentioned - but only if you have full backups of your current working setup just in case.

The backups I had failed meaning I must get a stock ROM from the forum, but I'm on the B160 now. I'm confused because you say to flash the B180 when I'm on the Nexus B160 ROM (H1611C07B160) so I'm just confused. I thank you for helping me with this though man!! .
You mentioned B180 in your OP and never mentioned B160 - thus the source of my confusion thinking you have a B180 ROM.
If you haven't tried flashing a B160 stock boot image, try that. Otherwise maybe you should install a stock B160 ROM and go from there.

The last sentence "Unfortunately I'm still on the Nexus ROM. Also I tried flashing the B180 Stock ROM it gives off the same error in the AROMA installer saying that the boot image is already patched."
The Nexus is B160, I said I tried flashing the B180 because it had Magisk on it lol
I don't have names like Nexus memorized with version numbers - that's a bit much to expect.
You can't mix version numbers, so don't bother again or the phone won't work for sure.

I wonder if the thread I linked earlier has a stock B160 boot.img in the B160 ROM zip file. That may be what you need to try in order to get Magisk to install.

Is it better to install systemless Xposed through Magisk or system?
See my H1611 Xposed thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-ascend-xt/help/xposed-huawei-ascend-xt-t3536003/
I installed using Magisk Systemless Xposed. Never tried System method on this phone, so can't really compare them myself.
Post your questions, etc about Xposed in that thread after skimming through the thread.

Okay I did everything but when I goto install systemless Xposed it gives this error in the log
- Copying zip to temp directory
- Installing Xposed_Framework_SDK_27-90.1-beta3_Systemless.zip
- Mounting /system, /vendor
update-binary[73]: unzip: not found
! Unable to extract zip file!
Failed!
! Installation failed
Edit: Is that zip flashable in TWRP?
SDK27 is the wrong file. H1611 is SDK23. The file should be TWRP flashable.
Like I asked before, please post in the H1611 Xposed thread to keep all Xposed information together.

I still get the installation error I looked it up all over and nothing is helping there was an error saying can't extract the zip in TWRP so I don't know what is going on.
Edit: I'll say this also in the forum
