Hello, my device is stuck in a boot loop after I attempted to restore from a backup on TWRP. I am stuck on the animated google splash. I can boot into the bootloader and TWRP just fine, but I can't go into my system. I am considering flashing a factory image but I am not sure which version to install for my device. Any advice?
Always choose the latest one, that is the one with the most recent security updates. https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#angler

I was booting up after flashing Modaco 4.2 and I was on SmoothROM 4.1.2. The tablet would not boot so I assume I flashed the ROM incorrectly.
I turn off the device and then boot into FastBoot. After selecting Recovery from FastBoot, it gets stuck on the Google Image.
Please help. Thanks!
While on a developer preview of Android N with my unlocked rooted phone and TWRP 3.0.2-1, I accidentally ran the September OTA. The OTA failed, but left a mess behind with the phone rebooting 4-5 times a day.
Today, I decided to fix the problem, so I flashed the latest official image (NRD90U). Complete wipe, but since I have backups, I considered it to be no big deal. Turns out it was
The phone is now a boot loop (corrupt warning -> google logo -> corrupt warning -> google logo...). Reflashing changes nothing. Trying to boot (fastboot boot) TWRP (any version) does not work (it just goes into the boot loop). Tried to downgrade back to 6, same problem. Nothing seems to work.
Somehow, something is still ****ed up on the phone, but I have no idea what. This seems to be very similar to this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/help/help-help-help-hard-bricked-6p-t3428225/page3), but there does not seem to be a solution.
Is it definitely bricked or is there anything I can do from fastboot to try and fix this? I am unlocked. I just need a stupid TWRP so I can restore my backup and hopefully get back to a working state from there.
PS: I'm sure I downloaded the right image and flashed it properly.
I decided to unlock the bootloader so that i could flash TWRP recovery but after unlocking the bootloader on my device, it has been stuck on the logo screen with "powered by android" under it. I have tried using fastboot to clear userdata & cache but that just leads to my phone again being stuck on the logo screen. The device also can't boot into recovery. When I chose to power off in fastboot it causes me to be stuck on the logo screen. Any help is appreciated I am on android oreo btw
Did you try a back to stock zip? go to fastboot and run flash-all.bat, while your device is plugged in ofcourse.

Let me guess.
You unlocked the boot loader and flashed TWRP and now you are looping, right?
There is no compatible TWRP that is compatible with Oreo on this phone.
You cannot leave TWRP installed. You can only install it along enough to get the recovery to boot.
You then must flash the stock boot image.
I had this problem tonight also. In my case I suspect it had to do with the install of magisk in which I checked both boxes and patched the bootloader. on reboot I was stuck on boot. Just wanted to add my solution. I got the pie back to stock zip here https://forum.xda-developers.com/essential-phone/development/stock-7-1-1-nmj20d-t3701681 then I put it into the adb folder and ran the flashall.bat script. I tried the no wipe one and it saved my information. very happy I didnt have to resetup my phone in the end.
did you remember to flash a stock boot.img before flashing magisk (to clear TWRP?)
Hi, I was on MiFavor 5.0 port to A2017G, and I wanted to return to 4.2. But when I installed backup, after boot it shows ZTE Logo, and then its stuck on "your phone has been unlocked" text. When I flash back to stock files thru TWRP it says that no OS is installed, and when booted it is stuck on that text as well. Can anyone help?
The Bootloader Message is normal. Which twrp did you use to backup your system and which twrp did you use to restore it?

If you wipe system, then flash raystef66's bootstack, then a modem, then raystef's stocksystem, then format data as ext4, you shouldn't have that problem. If you still have it just download edl tool and install a full rom
Here's what happened:
1. flashed wrong twrp version for 8.1 oreo, used correct CF-auto root
- tablet booted to stock recovery screen a few times but i figured it was part of the process so I just rebooted
-ended up getting a failed identification verification
-i know the auto root worked because my warranty is void :silly:
2. reset my tablet from the failed verification screen
-eventually got myself to a blue erasing screen loop
-flashed twrp again and got myself to a point where booting into recovery resulted in glitchy lines
3. attempted to factory reset from reboot with adp
-not sure if it worked tbh
-also tried to reboot to recovery screen and that didn't really do anything
4. found and installed the proper version of twrp (3.2.3-4)
-now stuck in feedback loop that occasionally shows the twerp screen so i know something's right
-won't boot to recovery screen but will boot to download page
-doesn't show up in adp devices during this loop
-- have CONTINUOUSLY tried flashing firmware (I've tried 6.0, 7.0?, and 8.1) none of them have worked, sporting some variant of secure check fail (PIT, bootloader, or RADIO)
-- have tried the mod here but it fails after param.bin and i can't use it directly after auto root without rebooting because it gets stuck on setup connection
-- most likely not a hardware problem because i had this tablet for basically a day before i did this to myself
--OEM is unlocked, not that i could change it even if it wasn't
---is there anything that anyone would recommend trying before i take this to geek squad (who may not help me but i'm still going to try) or should i just cry myself to sleep over wasting $300 :crying::crying:

I can boot to download mode but i can't boot to recovery mode after flashing twrp. When I try I just get stuck in a reboot loop, so I can't try to boot to recovery from adp either.

If you can flash twrp then not booting to twrp must be pilot error.
It MUST be done immediately after flashing in odin.
