I bought a z3x box off ebay and want to unlock a used smartphone that i bought off the site Phone Rush I unlocked all my galaxy s4s fine. But when I got to the Galaxy s5, the z3x box gave me an error when it came to unlocking. I currently have version 20.00 and do not want to buy the z3x pro activation. Is there something im doing wrong?

I'm from Israel, a friend bought for me Galaxy s4 GT-I9500 from Samsung Direct in california. according to them the device is international and unlocked.
Yesterday my friend gave me the device, but the israeli sim isn't working on it. it asks for sim network unlock pin.
I tried all of the guieds of the service mode and a few apps, and even paid 25$ for the code to an unlocking site but they gave me a wrong code.
Can someone help me?

There is no unlock code for the L720! You got scammed. If you want to unlock the phone for use on other carriers look for the threads on here that explain how to do it.

My friend is having Galaxy A3 with model number SM-A300H running Build number Kitkat build KTU84P A300HXXU1AOA4. After puting SIM card phone asks for unlock code.
I want to know if there is any other workaround to unlock\ unbrand the device without paying to Carriers or Third party service providers? Please help!

You can unlock A3 unofficial , but you need to pay for an unlock Box like Z3X , octopus,etc. It cost more than you phone!

Was looking for same. Had a Galaxy A3 from Saudi Arabia. Needed some cost efficient (and my by cost efficient i obviously mean something that doesn't incur any cost) ways to remove the carrier lock.
I don't think free options exisit anymore with todays smartphones, unless you got access to a box.

The thing is, i dont have the device unlock app, even after factory resetting my device. when i try to boot the phone with a sim from another carrier (and ive tried a few different ones..), ive never been asked for the network unlock code. I bought the phone in october of 2014, and my imei starts with 3518, so going off of their requirements my phone should be supported, the only thing it doesnt do is bring ip the unlock menu when using a new sim. I just dont wanna waste money for a code that i wont be able to use. Has anyone else experienced this problem as well or have any input? I was wondering what if i were to root and install a rom; might it ask then? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
